I was reluctant on writing a review for this place. People and service was amazing. Best I have ever experienced. I was tempted into trying this place due to their instagram posts. Everything looked good. Me and my husband first check out their salsas, if the salsa is good then it's a good chance that the dishes are ok. Salsa was good, better than average. It lacked spiciness though. It was like a pico de gallo salsa to us. So I ordered the shrimp enchiladas. I'm sorry they were not of my liking at all. It seemed to me like they were lathered with some sort of white cheese. Instead of the green chili sauce. I would definitely try to upgrade the sauce with the use of green tomato sauce add some spiciness with a Serrano, a bunch of cilantro and some sour cream to thicken. Salt to taste. My husband ordered the molcajete. The presentation was nice but the red sauce it came with lacked flavor. This place could be much better if it included authentic Mexican seasoning. I understand not everyone eats hot sauces but Mexican food requieres some spicy seasonings. Garlic, cilantro, black pepper, chicken bouillon to flavor . Etc etc etc. I suggest they go to Mexican cities to learn the authenticity of Mexican dishes. Oaxaca, Jalisco, Mexico City, Puebla, etc etc read more

Came here back in 2009 and adored the beautiful atmosphere in their vibrant garden patio seating. The Sunday brunch was stellar with authentic Mexican entrees like Chile rellenos, meaty enchiladas, fresh grilled chicken, beef fajitas,and so much more! Fast forward fall, October 2023... The inside dining room is much the same. The outdoor garden patio is no longer the lush, vines, shrubs n flowers, and lively fountain n fire pit ambiance it once was. Yes, the fountain is there. Just no water. It is clean and minimal in its overall look now, kinda baron, really. I sat in the garden patio and ordered their Cadillac margarita and chicken fajitas. The cocktail was $22 bucks..not at all worth the price.. . Small portion of chicken fajitas with more bell peppers & onions than chicken. Served with beans, rice, with 2 corn tortillas for $19.00. Rice was lacking flavor, soggy in texture. The homemade beans were runny, thin as if put in a blender or something. Service was quick in receiving the cocktail, tho 35 min in serving my order. There were 6 tables in use in dining room. I was the only person in garden patio. No service after receiving meal. No offer for another drink or water refill when empty. Took a long time in getting the check as well. Overall, this restaurant has lost its luster and charm. Very disappointing since I much prefer to dine at locally owned eateries. As you walk in staff is welcoming, we sat order and we waited for our food for 45 minutes. I was here to celebrate my birthday and definitely never coming back, I ask our waitress who checked on us a few times before our food arrived, I asked her about the food (40 minutes after) she said there was a big party (we weren't aware of that and she failed to mentioned would've been perfect if she communicated that with us) food came and I was disappointed with the portioning seafood it's overpriced for 6 pieces of shrimp, steak fajitas only has a few pieces of steak mostly onion and pepper. After we got our food waitress did not check on us, we even had to ask someone else to bring our check because she was nowhere to be found, was so excited to try this place never again. read more

Our first time there - Disappointing. They open at 4pm so we just went in for cocktails - We had Cadillac margaritas and we went for the "jumbo" option. In my life experience a Cadillac margarita should be made with top shelf tequila with a grand marnier float. They were made with cheap "Montezuma" tequila and a grand marnier knockoff. We paid $23 for each. Total rip-off. We could only taste the cheap liquor and to top it off the bartender seemed antisocial . The bar was decorated with Trump hat paraphernalia hanging right in front on our faces. What happened to not mixing politics with alcohol???? Double disappointment. I highly recommend this establishment. The high desert has more than an abundance of Mexican food. Las Brisas is a cut above all the others. The staff are inviting always happy to see you and are attentive. The menu lists an abundance of options for the food and drinks. My girlfriend and I have tried an abundance of food here and yet each item has its own unique flavor and textures. I personally recommend any meal that includes their Sea Bass. As for the ambiance, they offer outdoor seating, the indoor dining and a feeding that your a special guest. read more

As always our evening out with friends at Las Brisas was excellent. I had the Sea Bass platter with Shrimp, the flavor was wonderful. I love the Spanish rice and fresh veggie medley was such a nice change. An ampul serving of food, cooked to perfection, I'm enjoying it again tonight. The waiters are so helpful with very tasty additions to try. Outside patio dining with fountains and fire pit was warm and comfortable on a winter night. The food here is pretty good, my husband loves the ceviche. I got fish tacos and while the tacos were excellent I wasn't a fan of the sauce, it was a tarter relish sauce and wasn't my thing, wasn't bad, just didn't care for it. I'm the only one in my family who rarely eats at Mexican restaurants. The delicious food, its presentation, the wonderful service & of course the drinks were superb. It wasn't the typical fare/cooking you get at most Mexican restaurants. It was so delicious l. I had a Chile relleno & beef taquitos. My husband & daughter had the chicken enchiladas & Chile relleno. Everything was so delicious. This the first time I had taquitos in a restaurant that didn't look or taste like it was mass made. It was juicy & full of meat. I'm very picky about my rice & the rice here is so delicious. Our margaritas were very delicious as well . Get the Molly Brown Margarita if you eat there. It's so good. Let me start by saying the service is excellent! Robert has been with Las Brisas for many years, definitely an asset to the restaurant. The staff is also friendly and greets you with a smile. My family has been coming to Las Brisas forever. Celebrated birthdays, graduation and when family came into town they would request to go here too. Food is delicious and fresh! Love The taco bar Tuesday, handmade fresh tortillas and the prime rib Wednesdays is a must!! My ultimate favorite is the sea bass shrimp scampi. Sure do miss Mr Gus and his cheerful smile greeting us at the table. Hello, young people! Gus made the best Cadillac margaritas, maybe because they were genuinely served with love. His family has kept the business thriving and his spirit alive. I was really conflicted about giving a 3, because if I could, it probably was between a 3.5 and 4. Points were deducted mainly because it took at least 15 minutes until someone even came by our table to get our order. Apparently, it was supposed to be the waiter named Rob or Robert. Luckily, a kind, older waitress with glasses and a purple vest, whose name escapes me now, made sure we were taken care of. When thinking about the beverages and food: I ordered a blended mango margarita was pleasantly surprised that it seemed real mango was blended in with the tequila! It was good! I only ordered one because I felt it all. For food, chips and salsa comes right when you sit --- and it is what you might already expect, not bad. The salsa bowl is a bit small though, so you may need to ask for more salsa! I ordered a two carne asada taco plate that came with rice, beans, and a side of guacamole. Not bad --- but I admit I only ate the carne and pico de gallo with my rice and beans. Just a lot of tortilla for my liking.... Finally, fried vanilla bean ice cream with cinnamon. Not bad, but the fried part was a bit chewy for my liking. Overall, not bad. But the service could be better. read more

We were pleasantly surprised with the charm of the place. Our food was very good. The items we tried were the shrimp enchiladas, the chicken flautas and a chile relleno. They were all very tasty. The four out of five is because the service could have been a little bit better. Our server was very pleasant and professional. We felt he could have been a little more attentive. Refilling water or salsa. I don't like a waiter to hover but maybe another check-in or two at our table would have been nice. This was our first visit and we plan on going again soon. read more

For the appetizer I ordered the mole bites they were really spicy hot I couldn't eat them the waiter understood took it off our bill. Went to dinner here and this is the second time I've been here. First time was for a birthday party, this time was with the family. Let me start off saying the staff was extremely friendly. Based on staff alone this is a 5 star restaurant. The price of the food / drink is higher then most in the area. Quality of the food on my first visit was extremely good. They advertise Prime Rib on Wednesdays. The video on facebook looks great. I'm 65 years old and it was the worse prime rib I ever had. My wife ordered carne asada. They forgot to bring the tortillas. We asked for them but they didn't come out till we left. Worse dining experience I ever had. The 85 dollar tab for just my wife and I was insulting. We didn't order appetizers. I had an ice tea....wife had a cadillac Margherita. Ambiance was nice if you don't mind sitting on ripped apohlstery and foam cushions that lost their life 10 years ago. We tried this place out of lack of options. Walking in the vibe was mehh. The first person to great us was less then inviting. A look at the decor starting at the outside gave me pause. We had our annual Christmas party at Las Brisas restaurant and the staff treated us like family. Robert, Ricardo, Linda and their chef Auder provided us an opportunity to have a night of laughter and fun. The service was impeccable and the decorations were beautifully done. We were so pleased that everything was taken care of by the restaurant staff so that we could enjoy our festivities. I would recommend Las Brisas for any event or even an evening out with loved ones. I am ashamed to say that I have lived here 30 yrs and not once come to this restaurant. I had no idea what we were missing. The setting is very nice and clean, the staff (we met Deanna and Robert) were so sweet. They were so welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. They pointed out things they liked and what other customers like, so we dug in and tried several things. We started with potato balls and stuffed jalapeños. OMG! We should have stopped there but were immediately drawn to see what else we could try in this visit. We tried the shrimp enchiladas with garlic cream sauce (again OMG!) and the fish tacos. Delicious, see pictures. The tacos were nicely stuffed with fish and the flavor was so good. The portions were perfect for someone with a large appetite which means I got left overs YEAH! I had a margarita flight and husband had two beers. The margaritas, yes..they also were delicious. What a great place, I have to tell you that I go to the other Mexican restaurants here in the high desert and they are good but this, this my friends is DELICIOUS. Everything about it. Oh, although the cats they tell us not to feed were hiding today, I totally look forward to meeting them next time. I guess they greet their guests in the patio at the entrance. They do have taco Tuesday and those wonderful fish tacos I mentioned are included. They make homemade tortillas after 4 so next time it's a dinner date.
