I have been here many times and may have RAVED about the beans. Today I grabbed the Taco Dinner kit on my way home from the gym and WOW! I am really impressed!! They don't skimp on the toppings if you need more cheese, lettuce, or tomatoes go ahead and make an appt at the doctor because your cholesterol would be insane. I love cheese and use triple most people so I was really happy about getting tons of cheese and tomatoes two inches deep in the six tacos I made. Great value for my money and time (less than ten min) EXCEPTIONAL value actually. And it was real whole food, not processed garbage or even pre-shredded cheese! We were in Denver for a concert weekend with friends. Our East Coast friend was craving some Mexican food since she can't find great places where shes at. A few of our friends had lived here for a number of years and really loved this place so we came! Everyone is very nice when you walk in. We asked to be seated outside, which with a party of 9 isn't always easy, but they were very accommodating and had a nice patio to hang out on. Our waitress was nice and cute but down to business. I think she wasn't 100% comfortable speaking English so she didn't spend too much time speaking with us - which is totally fine. For drinks, we got margaritas and these massive bloody mary/beer concoctions, which I forget the name but it was really good and HUGE...when I say HUGE I mean fish bowl sized so beware cause its like a meal in itself. The chips and salsa were yummy and it was my style of salsa, not too chunky but lots of flavor and spice. Mexican food is not my favorite so I went with a quesadilla with sour cream and guacamole. The chicken in it was really good, not too spicy but marinated in something yummy - not just standard grilled chicken which was nice. The popular vote for everyone else was the juevos rancheros (sp?). A majority of people ordered and enjoyed that. Anyway, we went here based on a recommendation from friends who lived here. Had I been on my own I wouldn't have picked this based on the Yelp reviews and the other food stops around but it was good, easy and reasonably priced ($20 per person in a group of 9 including tip and multiple drinks). read more

Ah Las Delicias, I should totally abhor this food, and yet somehow I find myself coming back. The two star review is really based on the food more than the experience. I can't really explain it, but somehow, this location ( I have to say the other location in downtown Denver definitely does not do it for me) just makes me happy. The chips and salsa are satisfactory typically. Although the salsa is made there, so it can vary quite a lot. The food is by no means the best Mexican food in town. I tend to find myself drawn to gringo classics such as cheese enchiladas. If you get a combo, I would recommend the carne asada. You will not be blown away, but maybe satisfied. Their rice and beans can hit the spot too if you don't have the highest expectations for rice and beans. I'm tempted to start calling this place "Las Diarrheas", since that's the effect it seems to have on most. It's your basic Mexican place; combo meals, a la carte items and the over-priced fajitas.It's a minor plus that they offer breakfast items. I ordered a combo plate with a tamale, cheese enchilada and a guacamole tostada. However, the guacamole was extremely COLD-- like it had just been brought over from the cool section of the nearby King Soopers. My biggest gripe about this place was their chips. The first basket is free (yet only halfway full) and all refills are $1.05. Sure, a few other places do that, but considering that the refill basket was also halfway full, I was upset. I walked by a waiter station and saw they had several half-EMPTY baskets all sorted and ready to go. What a cheap tactic. Plus charging an extra 5 cents?! I guess they figure by including that 5 cents, they'll make a whole DOLLAR for every 20 baskets they refill. Thus, I wouldn't drive to visit this place. With a wide variety of quality Mexican joints in the Denver area, I'll avoid this one unless I'm stuck in Glendale somehow. read more

I have used all of the Las Delicious locations over the years for countless meetings and they always deliver. I love the green chile and crispy chile rellanos, the carne adobada is also quite good. I have used them as my go to catering option across metro Denver at least 20 times and have never had a bad experience or complaint, the north location on Confier always goes the extra mile to ensure everything is perfect. The original location off 19th is currently closed for renovations but should be open again by this summer. If you need good food at a reasonable price this place has you covered. read more

Found this place on Yelp when visiting Denver and thought we would give it a try. My sister and I love Mexican restaurants and try them everywhere we travel. The patio seating is quiet and nice. The food was okay. Definitely not as great as we were expecting after reading such wonderful reviews. Maybe it was an off day. While I love the pork green chili at Pas Delicias, the service sucks at the Glendale location. And has for the longest time. From the moment I walked in the door, the hostess was more engaged in talking to another employee than asking how many was in my party and seating me. I arrived at 11:20 only two other patrons in the restaurant, yet I couldn't get her to notice I was standing right in front of her. I spoke with my server about ordering # 17 bowl of green Chili w/ rice & beans and flour tortillas. Instead she brought just the green chili. It took me 15 minutes to get anyone's attention. Then my server argued with me that I ordered something else. Not cool! There are far too many restaurants in this town to continue eating at a place that has poor service and condescending to their patrons that have help build them over the last 25 yrs. Las D in the Glendale area has yummy Mexican food choices, this restaurant has been a neighborhood favorite for quite some time. Food is consistent, well priced and yummy! My favorite is the guacamole salad or the crispy chili rellenos. The green chili is good and the salsa and chips keep you wanting more! I always look forward to my next visit! read more

Boyfriend and I were going to go to Chili's because we had gift certificates, but had a change of heart at the last second....spotted las Delicias and decided to give it a try. We were pleased that corona lights were only 3.50 and i was delighted to see they had fried ice cream (although we tried the sopapillas instead). I had the steak fajitas and liked them...although nothing to rave about in my opinion. My boyfriend had a combination plate with a chili relleno, enchilada, and something else....he wasn't overly excited with it. HOWEVER, the green chili is AMAZING. we are green chili fiends and loved it. Big chunks of pork and a "just-right" spice. Well, what can you say about Las Delicias? They do the best with the hand they're dealt. The location is less the prime, but given that most other restaurants on or directly off of Colorado Boulevard are fast food, middle brow chains, or horrible, Las Delicias can come in handy in a pinch. The prices are very reasonable, however the quality of the food and service directly reflects the price you pay. So, I wouldn't call it a "bargain." For example, it is pretty obvious that they use lower quality ingredients in some of their entrees. I'm by no means and organic foods snob, but you can tell when the meat or produce in your dish isn't the freshest or highest quality and it negatively impacts the meal as a whole. The service is abysmal. It seems that they function on a system that has waitstaff pick they tables they serve (or no system at all) so you an wait quite a while before being served and it often seems that they're waitstaff has to cross the dining room and the porch (with lovely view of Home Depot!) multiple times. And the front end staff is virtually non-existent. They do get some credit for trying to expand the range of Mexican cuisine (i.e. chicken mole in a burrito), but the execution falls far short of the good intentions and ambition. It's also worth noting that they seem to tolerate a clientele that lets their children run wild through the dining room. While this isn't there fault, as a former waiter I can tell you there are many polite and effective ways to encourage a customer with unruly child to refrain from ruining everyone else's dining experience. read more

We love this place! The staff is friendly and always attentive. We feel like family here. My husband always orders #42 (chili relleno plate) which we both love. My favorite is the bowl of green chili which has big chunks of pork and comes with two flour tortillas. The chips and salsa are wonderful with just enough heat in the salsa. I recently moved to Denver and was excited to find my go-to Mexican food restaurant. Unfortunately, this place doesn't have the best food and it's overpriced. It's not vegetarian/vegan friendly, as the beans are made with lard and they are unwilling to sub for whole pinto or black beans. It makes me sad to write this review. I've been going to Las for many years, and my husband grew up going to the original Las Delicias at 19th & Penn. This location in particular has really gone downhill. The salsa recipe is nowhere near as good as it once was. We were there with extended family the other night, and the food was really bad. It didn't seem fresh, it was poorly seasoned, and it was just not good. The service was poor too. We had to ask multiple times to get our water glasses refilled, and they never bothered to ask if we wanted more margaritas after they dropped off the food. Las has been a family tradition for us, and I hate to think that our days of loving this restaurant are over. I don't know if they're under new ownership, or what the problem is, but I sure hope they turn things around. read more

I've been here a few times now because my boyfriend loves it but I really don't understand why. The salsa is very watery and mostly onions. The green chili is subpar. We ordered take-out from here last night and I had ordered 2 smothered shredded beef burritos and instead got 3 ground beef burritos which was disappointing because their ground beef is not very flavorful. We didn't notice until we got home and didn't really want to drive back. This is also annoying because the lady on the phone had us repeat our order like 5 times and they STILL messed it up! Also... This place is absolutely terrible. I parked in their lot and they decoded to put duct tape on the windshield of my car. It was warm, so the sticky of the tape melted to my windshield on the drivers side. Are you kidding me? Are you stupid?? Why would you put duct tape on someone's drivers side windshield? Especially on a hot day! So, now need to get something to get the tape off. I've tried goof off and things like that. I'm absolutely disgusted by the ridiculous behavior the employees exhibit and the managers encourage. No responsibility at all. read more

I wanted to leave a review to say that I thought the way they adjusted for the pandemic was very efficient and hopefully safe. If your idea of a burrito is a small lumpy tortilla, barley taller than the edges of the plate, completely smothered in bland orange-colored smooth sauce, covered with melted cheese, go and enjoy. The beef had no flavor, it was never marinated nor seasoned. Not a single onion or pepper could be found inside the burrito. It reminded me of a school lunch. Had numerous problems with this restaurant over the last three months. The food is basic, but atmosphere is usually decent and staff is usually friendly. My family eats at this restaurant about one a month and since November the staff has become incompetent, rude, and (last night) threatens physical aggression when confronted and completely at fault. In three months this restaurant has ruined my want to visit any member of this chain and I am certainly letting my family and friends know of these problems. I complained on their website while one employee cracked knuckles at me (as he was the person who misplaced the order twice) and recieved no reply and after a simple take out order was done completely wrong, and the fix was wrong and required two trips back and an hour of extra time. Fix your management and staffing issues before more posts like this, as this was one of the worst restaurant experiences (only one of the three in the last three months). The restaurant isn't that successful that such terrible experiences (my family's experiences can't be the only ones like this) that such poor experiences won't have lasting effects on both the restaurant and chain. read more

This was a horrible experience. There was two of us and it looked clean when we walked in...but the table we were seated was DIRTY. There was dried food on the table and I asked for a rag to clean the table...and the host that sat us just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I should have taken that as a warning to the rest of the time we were there. Once we ordered from the waitress that was so unfriendly that it was disappointing. She acted as if we were a bother and she was just plain grumpy. Out food came within five minutes...and once again I should have known that something just wasn't right. The cheese on my partners food was so oily that is was inedible and he had to take it off his enchiladas. The guacamole on my tostada was the equivalence of green paste. Definitely came out of a bag and didn't even taste like guacamole. The refried beans were like soup and the rice was crunchy and couldn't eat it. The tamale was okay...but I bet it was a pre-made frozen product. When it was time for the check the waitress walked by and dropped a receipt on the end of the table and walked away. I didn't know if she was going to take the payment or if I had to go upfront. I finally just grabbed the ticket and walked to the front counter. Where the host grabbed my credit card...processed the payment and as soon as i signed the ticket he snatched it back and walked away. Not even a fucking thank you for your business. I thought it was funny that they had a sign at the registers that said we support five star service. I would like to know where that was. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. HORRIBLE FOOD...CRAPPY SERVICE...JUST A BAD EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND. The staff at Taco Bell is much nicer and better FOOD.... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! read more

This review is sort of like dissing an old friend who's let themself go....my family has been eating here for about 15 years, my youngest can recall the old building in detail. Now, when they want to go, though, I do it for them and always order the same thing: the shrimp soup and a large tasty margarita. I just am not too excited about the rest. This can be a problem with a "down" economy: the slip from a 3 to a 2 seems a long way down. For kids the predictability and sameness is a big plus. read more

This is a standard Mexican restaurant, and the food is generally good. My favorite is their shredded beef burrito, which is excellent. Being one if my favorite dishes, I'm picky on this menu item when I order it anywhere else, and las delicias shredded beef burrito has become the measuring stick for any other restaurants version of this Americanized burrito. Honestly the worst Mexican food I have ever had. It had no flavor, very bland, greasy and just overall unappealing food. The best part of the meal was the microwaved Mission tortillas.
