This month of March, I've gone to this restaurant on 3 occasions with family--.they love Mexican food. This evening i got an order to go. It came to 20.28. I noticed they didn't include chips and salsa like they normally do, so I asked waitress about it. The waitress told me i had to spend OVER $20.00 to get that--changed policy since last week. I realized how many years i have come to Las Delicious AND THEY DONT KNOW ME, it matters not that I support them as much as I do and I REALLY don't have to continue. I'm tired of this type of thinking from businesses all over. Las Delicious food is not as good as it used to be--it's hit and miss. The food tonight, tho, was a hit--smothered bean burritos. But, the service is too lopsided for me after this salsa incident. Their prices have gone up quite a bit. Raising their prices I have tolerated but being stingy with salsa and chips is a deal breaker for me! It tastes like jazzed up picante sauce, not that great but it's the principle of the matter. They don't want me as a customer, just my submission to gouging. read more

The food has gone down in quality and it made my aunt sick, she literally had to excuse herself in the middle of eating to go throw up. When she got home she threw up some more and she only had 3 bites of her food! The green chili has yet to get any seasoning added to it, tastes like green spit! The restaurant is HUGE, so despite the full parking lot we were seated quickly upon arrival. Service was fast and really friendly. I got the feeling our server had been there for a long time and knew how to do her job well. This is Colorado-Mexican fare. It's not Southern California Mexican or Tex-Mex. It's probably not like food served in today's Mexico. But many of the families making this kind of food along the Front Range have been making it since this WAS part of Mexico, so I think it's as authentic as any other Mexican-American cuisine. Even Gustavo Arellano recommends it, so they must be doing something right. It's inexpensive, portions are generous, and it's comfort food done right. I enjoyed the chips and salsa, and my carnitas were hearty and flavorful. Despite feeling the old-fashioned look of the place, they embrace new things too. There's a loyalty check-in machine (Five Stars, maybe?). I saw it and checked in. The man behind the counter said, "Thanks, Cherie! Have a good night." We've been visiting this location for over 2 decades. We always enjoyed the food, and the prices were reasonable. Sadly, this will be our last visit. I ordered a small combo plate. Crunchy ground beef taco, bean burrito, and been tostada. The taco HAD NO CHEESE whatsoever. Bean burrtio, no cheese, and tostada had a few shreds at best. Green chili was thin, watery, and had little taste and no pork. All for over $16.00!!! We visited less then 6 months ago, and I believe the same meal was around $14.00. Our service was mediocre, despite the fact there were several waitresses milling around. I also didn't mention the food wasn't hot, and had been sitting, because the taco was soggy. I left half my food. For the price, and quality of food, do not bother. They were almost empty at 5:00 pm on a Sunday. I'm not surprised. read more

Very poor food and service. You can't customize an entree at all. So I ordered the entree and paid the extra for a taco. Got it all home. Ate some of the food and started getting stomach cramps, etc. Didn't eat another bite! Called the next day and they offered a replacement for only uneaten food or a gift card. No refund. Great Mexican Food, i was told this was a popular local spot. I had the enchilada with a crispy taco and it reminded me of being back in Texas. Hit or Miss... it's all about the waitstaff. We chose the bar area for less noise on a late Saturday afternoon even though there weren't any other patrons. Placed our order with 2 beverages... the two draft beers sat idle at the bar with the idle bartender. Duh... she has nothing to do? I walk and take the two beers to our table. Still duh... Our orders arrive delivered by kitchen staff. The 3 beef & bean are not delivered. They arrive all beef and weird beef.. like crumbly dry beef from Taco Bell 30 years ago. My lunch partner just gave in and ate one of the three. The waitress didn't appear again but that's okay... I am always impressed with this location specifically! The food is always super tasty and made quickly for to-go orders. The hostesses up front are AMAZING!! So friendly, professional, and helpful. They always ask how my day is going and truly go above and beyond with customer service. This is our favorite go-to Mexican restaurant!!! Old School Mexican, done right :-) co-workers and myself love spending a lunch here. Breaking it down: Quality: Chips and Salsa are done right, taste fresh and spicy. Good start like any good Mexican place. Main Entrees: For a cheap and easy lunch I've typically stuck with the combos and have not been disappointed. Ranks in the upper half for most Mexican restaurants of its caliber certainly. Prices: Very reasonable considering what you get. Service: Very on the ball with drink refills. Okay, so I went with friends. Service was pretty bad and they came to our table five times before we were ready to pay the check. They charge for every subsitution....One person wanted a bean burrito instead of meat and they charged her $.75. I had the Shrimp, Chorizo, with cheese appetizer as my dinner. While the shrimp were cooked well, and I can never complain about melted cheese, the chorizo was not spiced enough and pretty greasy. Let me tell you it was a tough ride home as it totally did not agree with my stomach and at least no weight gained from this meal. Stopped by as it's close to Infinity Park. Great happy hour with $5 margs which are quite tasty and not over flavorful with mix. Great especial with 4 taco el pastor for $10 can't beat that. The first thing to know is that this place is an institution. It has been a Mexican restaurant longer than many of its customers have been on the planet. The food is very good as well. While it may not be the absolute best I have ever had, it is consistently good and worth going back and I've done so repeatedly. I particularly enjoy adding on the queso dip for starters. Since Las Delicias is close to my office building, I really wanted to like it. I wanted it to be good. But...it's not...at all. I have been there several times over the past year. So disappointing. Living across from the Uptown location of Las Delicias, which I was pretty impressed with, I was surprised how much this one disappointed. I came here with a few of my colleagues from work, and all of us were pretty unimpressed with the service during our lunch out. Nobody ordered cocktails, and our drinks still too shamefully long to arrive as did our food. People who came in after us were already finished their meals and were leaving before we even got our food. The food was ok. I got the chicken enchilada plate, with the addition of green chile, but honestly, I couldn't even tell if they added it, it sort of all just tasted the same. I also could have done without the beans, and would probably get extra rice next time, since the plate was just swimming in refried beans. Meh. I had not been here before, but my colleagues also said the salsa tasted different than it had on previous visits. Went here with a friend after a hefty work out, we were craving some Mexican food. Pretty clean place, the fish tank was so clean, you couldn't even tell there was water in it- interesting. Chips and Salsa were pretty good. Salsa was not all chunky, which I dislike. so this salsa had a nice kick to it and we finished it all. Ok I TOLD you we were hungry, and thirsty. Let me start with the service. At no point was our water/beverages every empty, or our salsa bowl and chips. Most servers would just check on you as they walked by. We both ordered steak chimicanga's and I got a chicken flauta on the side, and my friend got a enchilada. YUM. The steak was so delicioso(sp)!!! The Flauta was a little too fried, but still good. I have been searching for Mexican food with flavor, and I felt that this one had some good flavor, better then some others that I have had in Denver. I've been a customer at Las Delicias since I was a student in the 1980's. And for the past 20 years a regular at the Glendale location. Until today. We were greeted and seated promptly. It was late afternoon so it wasn't particularly busy. We were brought water, chips and salsa promptly reviewed the menu, made our selections. Put our closed menus to the side and waited for a server to come take our order. A waitress, one that has waited on us many times, passed our table with zero acknowledgement to our presence. After awhile we began to wonder if she was deliberately ignoring us. We hadn't even been asked for our drink orders. We watched her for awhile and it seemed obvious that she was. We finally decide to leave and as we passed her she just glared at us. Not a word. I told the hostess that having a server would have been nice. She and the other young lady at the front just looked at us, said nothing and let us walk out. It was humiliating. We are good customers, we aren't needy, don't ask for much and tip well. Well, my boyfriend's family cannot get enough of this place! They absolutely love it and everything they make. So clearly people have different tastes. Could be because I grew up in Texas and have a different idea of what good Mexican food is. I felt this was very Americanized and almost more Tex-Mex (or I guess Colo-Mex) than authentic Mexican. That all being said, the food is ok. Great refried beans! Perfectly seasoned. Rice is usually a bit dry but good. Enchilada sauce is so watery. Crunchy tacos scream Tex-Mex so if you want that, they don't disappoint. Fajitas don't have much flavor. I usually just get tamales and stuff myself with chips and salsa (because I do love their salsa). Also, I enjoy their margaritas. They don't skimp on the booze and whatever mix they use is pleasant. I wouldn't say this is authentic, mind blowing Mexican food; so don't go in expecting that. The best part? The staff is EXTREMELY nice and accommodating. I've never met a rude waiter or host. I've been eat at the las Delicias restaurants forever it seems, and one consistent reason is the salsa and chips. Yup, the salsa it's simple but always great. Reminds me of when I was growing up and it's like I made it. I mix up the dinners and for this recent visit I had the #5 a burrito, chili relleno, and an enchilada all smothered in green chili. Yummy, filled me up and then some! They have lots of patio seating too, so on a sunny afternoon in late October it was the perfect place for family lunch. My experience, in over 20 visits, is that the service is very good. Friendly, fast, efficient. I always have plenty of "coca-cola dieta sin hielo" in my glass. The salsa bowl is refilled quickly. Our orders are taken right away. Yes, the food is Tex-Mex and not "Mexican". Yes, it is a little bland. But, it is very affordable. Well, for me it is as I almost always have a Burrito Chicharron smothered in green with lettuce and cheese. I don't go here looking for authentic anything.
