    Chicken and steak burrito
    Kevin W.

This place is in a strip mall and has limited parking. I have never had a problem finding parking. Plenty of college students come here so it is inexpensive and plain. I usually order carry-out but I decide to eat in this time. The service is good and they definitely give you more food for dine-in then they do for take out. We had chips, salsa, queso, fish taco, gringa taco, and chicken & steak burrito. All the food was great. The chips, salsa, and queso were good but nothing spectacular. The fish taco was better than expected. The gringa taco was the most flavorful dish. The chicken and steak burrito was filled with so much meat that I couldn't even close it. I will return.

I feel like I would be doing my fellow yelpers a disservice if I didn't update my review. I hate to leave negative reviews so I'll keep it short, but it's definitely not 5 stars. The service is mediocre on its very best day. The food is lacking in seasoning/flavor. The margaritas are still margaritas and I do like the service at the bar *more* than at tables. Hence the two stars.

We ordered one of each taco that they offered. This is the first round

Embarking on culinary adventures with my son is always a privilege I hold dear. Michael and I perpetually is always in pursuit of the elusive 'Best taco in...' quest, found ourselves in #Memphis, TN at. In the span of 24 hours, we unearthed a gem Las Delicias. If this place was good enough for Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations then I know I have to eat here. We ordered one of every #taco on the menu and meticulously savored every flavor a revelation. Memphis, a city renowned for its BBQ, surprised us with its prowess in Mexican cuisine. A testament to the boundless diversity of flavors waiting to be discovered. #TacoTales #MemphisEats

Food is delicious. It was not peak hours when I went. Service is nice. The dip for the chip is fresh.

    Fajitas. Chicken and shrimp.

The service was really good, however I was not impressed with the flavor of the food. The shrimp were tiny for the upcharge. The prices are very good and the atmosphere was really nice. Very clean, tables no booths, good wait staff. I had a burrito with chicken, steak and shrimp. Hubby had chicken and shrimp fajitas

We really enjoyed eating here. My wife and her sister had the chicken and beef enchiladas, respectively, with mole sauce and I had the mixed fajitas (alambre style) with corn tortillas (she brought me 9!). Plus, the queso con chorizo and guacamole were great and the chips were perfect. We were also pleased with the salsas. One wouldn't expect so much good food for so little money! Even though we ate in the middle of the day, the place stayed busy and our server hustled the whole time.

We really enjoyed our meal at Las Delícias! The best part was the chips and dip/queso. The employees were so kind and seated us immediately! The prices were really great! The only thing that was kind of weird was the price jump for some of the meals compared to others! One item was around $4.50, while another meal comparable in size was around $9. Overall this place was great!

I came here with a party of 6 at the recommendation of a co-worker. We ordered the streak burrito, chicken taco salad, cheese dip cheese enchiladas, shrimp quesadilla, chicken quesadilla and streak torta without the beans. Everyone finished their meal with no complaints. 2 of us adults had never been to this location before and we said we want to come back again. My friend did say that the one on Quince is quieter as it had some separated areas. Most of the restaurant at this Park location was open floor with a packed restaurant during a Thursday lunch hour. Everything was well seasoned, well cooked, generously portioned and reasonably priced. I personally added some of the cheese dip to my torta. I definitely recommend that. The waitress was quick, especially for a busy and packed restaurant. She memorized our order, so kudos to her memory and brought fresh baskets of chips without us asking. She was truthful when she offered a refill on my horchata and I asked if it was free (it wasn't). They even had to-go containers for the cheese dip. We were all full. My petite friend and as full after eating half of her burrito. It was a very pleasant experience.

It pains me to have to leave this review. I came here once before several months ago and was very…read moreimpressed. I had a fantastic espresso martini and the best brussel sprouts I've ever tasted! So I was excited to come try something else. On the plus side, the bathroom was so nicely decorated. It was also very clean. I sat at the end of the bar, beside the little section of books. The bartender was nice. I ordered the Ember&Passion cocktail. Although it was pretty good, it was quite mild. Unexpected with the ingredients in it. I was surprised that the level of expected heat was not very detectable. I give it 7/10. When I came here before in the winter, the temperature was perfect and I don't remember being too bothered that they don't have cocktail napkins. But yesterday it was quite warm in the restaurant and not having these napkins wasn't good. Nobody in the restaurant had any type of napkin under any drink! I noticed that just like mine, every glass of water from every patron had a puddle of condensation under the glass. Each time I picked up my glass of water, it would drip onto my food and clothes. My two menus got so wet. I suppose they made this decision to save themselves a lot of money. As for the food: My parmesan truffle fries were excellent!! Hot, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked in the middle. Best I've had in a long time. The Alabama white sauce on the side was just your typical sauce. It tasted just like every other Alabama white sauce that I've had so was not disappointing. But I actually ended up not using it because it was too thin and it didn't add anything to the fries. The fries were excellent enough on their own. I ordered my burger "pink" but there wasn't any pink to it, but I wasn't that bothered about it. Burger and the toppings were tasty, except for the fried green tomato. Looking closely at the picture, you can see that it was SO SMALL compared to the size of the burger. When a restaurant does that, don't they realize that it makes for a glaring disappointment?! It apparently came from near the end of the tomato, and not the middle. If you are going to offer a fried green tomato on a burger, then I feel as if you should only use the larger slices of the tomato, and save the smaller ends for maybe putting in salads. I've always been obsessed with fried green tomatoes. After having my first two bites of burger and still not reaching the tomato, I took it off to eat by itself. Sadly, it tasted terrible! I was surprised. Obviously, they didn't season the tomato or the batter. (Salt and pepper go a long way.) The burger toppings apparently made the tomato batter not only soggy, but also this strange thick texture. Like mushy and chewy at the same time. 1/10 Worst problem: FLIES!!! So many flies! When I just had my drink but no food yet, I noticed them but was not bombarded by them at that point. It wasn't until my food came. All of a sudden I was literally surrounded by them. They were everywhere! No exaggeration. I actually had to use only one hand to eat and the other hand to constantly move back and forth over my food. I eventually gave up and set the plate of some of my fries about 4 inches in front of my burger in order to hopefully draw the flies to the fries so that I could eat my burger. Unfortunately, after only four bites of my burger, when I set it down to take a drink of water, a fly landed on it within one second. Obviously, that was my last bite, and even when I was moving the plate closer to the end of the counter, two more flies landed on it. The glass of straws was inches from me. That, and the book closest to me seemed to be where they gathered to wait for their opportunity to dive bomb me. So many of them! It turned my stomach when I realized that I had been drinking from a straw with my water and I'm sure there had been flies on it before I got there. Every person that gets a straw in their drink at this restaurant has had a fly sitting on top of it. When the bartender told me about the desserts, it turned my stomach to think of just how many flies were in the kitchen. Had I known the fly situation was that bad when I first got my drink, I would have never stayed there, and I certainly would have never ordered food. I do think it is a real shame because the winter months are a totally different experience in that restaurant. But because of how horrible it was this time, I just can't ever come back.

The crab claws were absolutely fire--perfectly seasoned, buttery, and cooked just right. Every bite was tender and packed with flavor, making them an unforgettable appetizer. The steak flatbread was equally delicious, layered with tender steak, fresh toppings, and perfectly melted cheese. The cocktails were expertly crafted and worth every sip. If you visit during Happy Hour (Monday-Friday, 3-6 p.m.), don't miss the discounted cocktails, featured wines, draft beers, and appetizer selections. It's one of the better happy hour values in the city. Char Restaurant +1 Then came dessert--the legendary Butter Pecan Cake. This dessert had to be created in heaven. Warm, buttery, rich with toasted pecans, and paired with creamy vanilla ice cream, every bite melted in your mouth. It's easily one of the best desserts in Memphis. Even better, this masterpiece is also served at CHAR's sister restaurant, Amerigo. From the exceptional food and handcrafted drinks to the polished service and elegant atmosphere, CHAR delivers a five-star dining experience from beginning to end. Highly recommended. The grits were hard, and the crabcake appetizer came out cold--though the sauce on top had great flavor. None of our food was served piping hot, which was disappointing. The crab claws were a highlight--buttery and well-seasoned. We did have to send our fries back for a fresh batch, and the shrimp and grits were just average. The best part of the meal was definitely dessert--the double brownie with pecan ice cream was delicious and saved the experience a bit. On a positive note, the service was good--Liz was great and very attentive--and the atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice. Overall: decent, but not a standout. 7/10
