We love seafood and Mexican food so we gave this a try. I do not recommend and won't be back. This has more of a bar feel than a restaurant. The music was so loud and then if you can believe it someone turned it up. The noise from the bar crowd was off putting. The place had a smell of bad fish and a cleaning chemical. The chips were stale and rubbery and the salsa was hot without flavor. We had shrimp tacos and fish tacos. The shrimp were heavily battered and not deveined. The restroom is filthy. When i went, i had to wash my hands. As soon as i went into the restroom, there was piss all over the floor. The walls had layers of graffiti. Not gonna lie, reading through the reviews scared me a little. But I really wanted mariscos and made the trek with mi familia. The location is in the corner of a plaza next to an auto parts store. It looks unassuming but once you open the doors, you're greeted with the once too familiar sounds of mariachi/ranchera/Mexican cancion. Our hands were sanitized, temperatures checked and we were seated promptly. We were given our menus, brought chips and salsa and we put in our drinks order. After they were brought, we placee an order for 6 oyster shooters, 6 shrimp empanadas, the seafood pasta, the birria, and the fish tacos. The waitresses came by plenty of times to ask how everything was going and if we needed anything. The food was adequately priced. Portions were more than enough and quite tasty. We walked in the door and saw that they only had one table that had about 8 people at it. We told them we would need a table for 10, two of which are kids. The waitress was rude and snarky replying. With are you serious as she rolled her eyes. We were then told to go to a back table. We were never offered drinks, the chips tasted stale, salsa was lacking something and the food well, it was not worth the money at all. My husband was forgotten and almost didn't order until we spoke up twice. The place was filthy, bathrooms were disgusting to the point my daughter decided to hold it so she didn't have to go. Worst food I have had in a long time. We came on a Saturday night so it was super packed, they do karaoke on the weekends so there is a lot of ppl who show up for that. Honestly I think all the people there might think the food is good because they have all been drinking! We got the Molcajete and it was the worst molcajete I have seen in my live, one of the jumbo shrimp that was in it was all bloody , when we told the waitress she said that's how its supposed to be! The worst customer service and food in this side of town. I order the ceviche poca madre. When I told the lady that it was severely undercooked she stated that was the way ceviche was suppose to be served, I showed her the difference between the lemon cooked ceviche and the uncooked black shrimp and the difference between the pink cooked shrimp and all she did was roll her eyes at me. I had her take it back. Rule 1. Of ceviche yes, it's meant for it to be cooked with the acid from the lemon juice, but no it shouldn't still be black looking it turns a solid white once it's cooked. 2. Don't mix the pink cooked ceviche in boiled water with the uncooked ceviche. It changes the consistency and the taste of the ceviche The wait time was ridiculous, and I uaually don't mind that as long as it's because the product will be served with quality. The lunch specials are limited, but they are tasty - especially the carne asada. However, the service is lacking. I've never felt welcome here and I feel like I am an inconvenience to the staff. Sometimes when I enter the restaurant around opening time, the music is so loud. When I politely ask for them to turn it down, it's as if I am asking for the keys to their car. Since there are limited options near my work, I have put up with the poor service because the food is a decent value. I would much rather get my food to go because the times I have been there the music is way to loud for a restaurant, you literally cannot hold a conversation at your table because of the music. Our friends invited us to meet them here for dinner on a Saturday. They had come here one time and was raving about it. The place was busy with most of the tables filled. Our waitress was nice and attentive and helped us navigate the menu as they offer a large variety of food. My wife and I ended up getting the fish tacos which were fantastic, a spicy shrimp dish which was very flavorful and a pasta in cream sauce with muscles that was very tasty. I placed an order by phone with my mom next to me for my dad to go pick up. The order was for a "Media (for two people) Mariscada Fresca". I repeated the order over to the girl about 3 times. When my dad showed up, they had a FULL order and it was the hot option. He's had it there before so we know the way we ordered it is an available option. He waiter for them to make the correct order for him and when he got home EVERYTHING was severely underprepared. This is the 3rd time this happens to me.
