Bean and Bacon ? I got cheese instead

I ordered a bean and bacon taco . Also asked for bacon to be crispy . Instead I got bean and cheese . It's my wife's birthday and I wanted to get her something before work. What a dissapointment! This happened with me being the only person in line . If they make simple mistakes like this when it's slow , I can't imagine the disaster that awaits when it gets busy.

We came in hungry after some shopping in the area and were immediately greeted and seated in a booth. Our server was fabulous and checked on us frequently. The unlimited complimentary chips helped curb our appetite and loved the fact that we could add a green hot salsa at no charge, instead of settle for the usual mild. My go to on the on the menu is the small chicken soup/half stuffed avocado combo which I could not find! Super disappointed, but checked with our server and she stated of course we can make that happen! Me- Yassss! Thank you! Don't be fooled by the size of the small size of the chicken soup cuz it's packed with flavor and huge chunks of chicken, bits of rice, and small slivers of green chile. Squeeze a little lemon and voila you're good as gold. The half stuffed avocado was delicious! You can give me avocados all day long lol , mine was stuffed with medium size shrimp and diced squash with veggies. Yummo! Both healthy and not overly salty. Good food and service! 25% discount on meal offered to person with military ID.

Meet the kitchen manager - Jose Garcia and he gave us a taste of several different salsas! The avocado sauce was Delish!!!! The jalapeño ranch dip was very tasty but had a good kick! Queso came out hot and fresh! Ordered the Chalupa compuesta- chicken and it had a great taste! Tangy and savory!

Love the new addition of the bar. Perfect for appetizers and delicious drinks! The patio seating will be great for the warm summer evenings. Great place to meet up with friends! Service is always great. Looking forward to more patio events.

Evelin and Jerry were so kind and went above and beyond for us. The Fajita LP Super Bowl was perfect in portion and taste. Evelin was gracious and attentive. Thank you, Las Palapas Team!

They've been out of beans for two weeks. At least that's what it's saying on Uber Eats. I haven't gotten to eat bean and cheese tacos for TWO WEEKS. Please fix

We ordered chips and salsa ($1.99) they came quickly. The salsa was tasty and not too spicy. I had Shrimp Nachos. There were plenty of them, lots of cheese and the guacamole was excellent, not a lot of stuff added to it. My husband had Carne Asada. It came with beans, tortillas and cheese enchilada. When he asked about barracho beans, Anthony brought them right away. The ice tea was strong and tasty and he kept our glasses filled. Everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. The building is new. It's very open with high ceilings, lots of windows and cement floors. There was plenty of outdoor seating. There were only a few parking spaces by the entrance. There was free parking on nearby side streets or paid parking in lots behind the restaurant. We would definitely go back when in San Antonio again. The drink menu looked fun! And they have a rooftop bar.

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was special. The atmosphere is beautiful, upscale, and inviting. The architecture and design throughout the restaurant are absolutely stunning. Even the restrooms were impressive and reflected the same attention to detail found throughout the entire establishment. The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. This isn't your typical restaurant experience--the menu is creative, unique, and offers something different. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the preparation and presentation of every plate. What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was the customer service. My waitress, Kreizon, was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made me feel welcome throughout my visit. Great service can make a good meal even better, and she definitely elevated the entire experience. The outdoor dining area is also beautiful and creates a relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a meal and taking in the surroundings. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional food, incredible ambiance, unique architecture, and top-notch customer service, Domingo is a must-visit. This is more than just dinner--it's an experience. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

Electronic dance music pulsed quietly in the background. The toilets were all individual unisex stalls that were classy, mine had run out of hand towels. Also, the entire restaurant is very dimly lit. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu, but I have poor eyesight so there's that, but it might explain the quality of the photos I took. The Paloma drink was amazing. It had a great spicy zing in the back of the throat after every sip. Queso was... kinda plain. It might have been better with the add chorizo option. It was very thick. Shrimp cocktail was big, but we started fighting over the shrimp pieces. There was plenty of onion and tomato left over after the batttle. Pollo Asado was a great flavor and the chicken was juicy. Grilled squash that was on the side was good. Chicken enchiladas were good and had freshly sliced jalapeños, which is always a welcome detail. I wasn't able to taste the quesadilla but my daoughter said it was "really good". Fried Chicken sandwich had a great flavor and the bacon was actually pork belly if I'm not mistaken. Sadly there was more batter than chicken. The seasoned fries were delicious and crispy.

We kicked things off with the Diablitos, bacon-wrapped chicken with just the right amount of serrano heat, paired with a rich red salsa that had us reaching for "just one more bite." The Huitlacoche Empanadas were another standout, with crisp blue corn shells surrounding a creamy, comforting filling that was both earthy and slightly sweet. For the main course, the Tex-Mex Deluxe was everything you hope for: a mouthwatering pork tamal, two perfectly cheesy enchiladas, and tender, flavorful beef fajitas. We also ordered the Tacos de la Casa, and the fish was incredibly fresh, moist, and seasoned beautifully. Every plate felt like it had been made with care. Of course, no meal at La Fonda is complete without drinks. We spent the evening sipping what may be the best sangria in San Antonio, along with fresh, perfectly balanced margaritas that paired wonderfully with every course. A special shoutout goes to Mel, who made an already great meal exceptional. Her recommendations for both the food and drinks were spot on, she was attentive without ever hovering, and she genuinely made us feel like valued guests throughout the evening. To top it all off, we dined in the gorgeous courtyard. With its lush landscaping, charming atmosphere, and relaxed ambiance, it's one of the most beautiful patios in the city and the perfect setting for a leisurely dinner. It was delicious! The concha was soft, buttery and flaky, with just the right sweetness. We took home the majority of it and it stayed nice and soft instead of turning hard like so many others. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing. We definitely will be going back, and recommend Pan Fila to all of you.
