Had one of the better veggie burritos here I've experienced, with a Spanish-style rice, grilled veggies, and topped with a nicely seasoned verde sauce. Chips were light and not too "oily", and the House margarita was sweet and tangy. Small bar with big screen with volume down, and a rhythmic, contemporary Spanish-language soundtrack playing overhead. Lighting is subdued but compensated by ceiling-tracked lanterns over each table, giving the whole thing a mellow vibe. Friendly, attentive service, and a short walk from many hotels south of Seatac. Las Palmas is a Salvadoran resturant, which we enjoyed very much. We were visiting the Washington area and staying at La Quinta , I went on Yelp and started looking for local eateries and found a Mexican resturant . We are from San Antonio, Texas and we have excellent Mexican resturants there, I could not see myself eating at a Mexican resturant here. Glad that I looked up the reviews and read that this was a Salvadoran place. I love Pupusas , so my husband and I decided to go there. The food is excellent, had the revuelta Pupusas and tried the chili relleno made with pork and potatoes, also the plantains . Fast, friendly service. Corn pupusas just $2.40 each. Got one cheese/zucchini and one cheese/spinach. They were ok. Would have preferred more veggie and less cheese; cheese overpowered any veggie taste. Curtido (cabbage slaw) could have used more vinegar but still good - I ate it all. Good value. Maybe I shouldn't have had Mexican food at a Salvadoran restaurant. My Chili Relleno sat in a pool of grease and there was no texture to it at all- no crunch to the breading. I'm not sure if it was cooked long before I ordered or just fried really badly. The chips, salsa, and tortillas are clearly from a bag/bottle. Read the reviews with lots of stars and go for the papusas and Salvadoran food and I hope you'll be more satisfied. read more

I came here a few times within the last few weeks. The place was empty every time. Service was very friendly and fast. The chips and salsa are fresh and tasty. First time I had some tacos. 2 chicken and 1 Carne asada. The chicken was plain but the carne asada was flavorful. The rice and beans were amazing. I also had the enchiladas in red sauce which was decent. I had the chicken which I thought might taste better with the red sauce and the cheese but again it was average. AgiThe rice and beans again were amazing. The pricing was good for the amount of food you get. I paid $11 for 2 enchiladas, rice and beans and a soda. We had a not so good experience at the restaurant. We ordered the paposas, enchiladas, and carne asada tacos to share at the table. For drinks, we ordered a margarita which surprisingly had no liquor in it. The rice was cold and the beans were watered down. When I approached the server to tell him our food was cold, it didn't seem to phase the server. I went for one thing: pupusas. And they were great (they even have a rice-based version if you're not into masa; the server told me the rice ones were chewier than the corn ones, but I couldn't tell the difference). My dining companion had the sopa de mondango. He liked it a lot -- since it was full of various cow parts, I didn't partake; but it was loaded with big chunks of vegetables and looked good. The server warned that size-wise, the sopa was more of a meal than a bowl of soup and he was correct (especially since it also came with a side of warm tasty hand-made puffy corn tortillas). The service was very friendly (they seemed very happy to see us on a rainy weeknight). The various Mexican beers on tap made things even better. This place is VERY convenient to the Sea-Tac Airport (an easy bus ride or a 30-minute walk). read more

Salvedoran food. What can I say? They tacos and papusas are great. I had the pork and cheese papusas which were light and full of flavor. The guacamole was spoiled and it seemed as they tried to cover it by adding lemon. Probably the worst steak burrito I've ever eaten. The burrito was barely Luke warm, gristly and very little beef. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce with barely any cilantro and a scant piece of onion. Service was bad too. I had to flag down the waitress twice for more chips and salsa. She didn't come to check on us until I was almost done eating my Luke warm gristly burrito that was mostly filled with rice. I did let her know I was displeased with my meal. She said "ok". Great Latin place. In fact this is El Salvador food and people working here from El Salvador, although advertised as Mexican. You can hear bachata music and watch Latin football teams playing. So I was hungry and in need of a drink and came across this little spot on International Blvd. Nothing to spectacular on the outside or inside. I sat down and the waitress asked what we would like to drink. My friend ordered a Vodka Cranberry and the woman acted as if she didn't know what that was. My friend then ordered a Vodka with orange juice and the waitress says okay. I ordered a rum and coke she goes coke okay so I repeated myself saying rum and coke please. When we received our drinks mine was ok but on the weak side. My friend had no vodka At all and had to re order. The woman still didn't know what vodka was. How can you be a waitress at a bar and not know what vodka is? Then we order our food I ordered nachos... Easy right? Well maybe not... When I received my food I noticed first that it wasn't cheese on my nachos it was that fake cheese sauce these nachos were comparable to Taco Bell nachos.... Bland and ugh not so good. What my friend ordered did look really good though! She liked it. So then I get the bill.. On my first look I notice my rum and coke has been replaced with Cum shot on the bill and I was charged 7 bucks for it. WTF??! After a flight I decided to drop by and get some food. I have heard of Las Palmas before and decided to stop and eat there. I have absolutely no regrets! The food is great the people are very nice and the atmosphere is relaxing. Perfect place to stop after a 3 hour flight. I would recommend it to anyone who is in the area! read more
