Excellent care from making the initial appointment to follow-up visit. I opted for the laser cataract removal and multifocal correction and I was able to do both eyes at the same time, which was fantastic! I could see clearly immediately!!! The doctor was nice enough and prescribed me more antibiotics but told me everything I already knew about my chalazion. Now I have to call an ACTUAL Oculoplastic surgeon to remove my Chalazion and it's going to take a month longer than I thought it would.

The person who retrieved my medical record also wrote down my prescription numbers reversed, leading to an additional 20 minutes in the exam and some psychological stress over how confused the Dr was! Phoned 3 times leading up to appt, no one answered. Finally received a call 5 minutes prior that the Dr is running 2 hours behind schedule. There are warnings all over the place saying they'll charge you a late fee. 2 hours. It took 20 minutes to get checked in--you have to write your name down and wait for the front desk to do so. Most staff in plain clothes, no badges, lanyards, or anything identifying, so it's incredibly hard to tell who works here. Have been here an hour. Have almost been run down twice by busy staff busily walking very importantly. They couldn't find my vision insurance using the same insurance card as I always use for vision, and wanted in-depth information about it I've never been asked before.

At 10:40 I was called by the tech & went through vision tests. I was then shown to the subsequent waiting area where it is now 12:12 & I have no idea what is happening. The fact that not just me, but the other 12ppl here are being totally ignored is unacceptable & inexcusable. If this is not a one-off, I will be choosing another eye dr. Stay tuned for an update. So at 12:35 an assistant appeared & called another patient. Not me. I inquired how much longer was the wait time as I had been waiting over 2hrs. The response? Flippant & "oh, the wait is 2 1/2-3hrs. I told him he could cross me off. I went to the front desk & informed them why I was leaving & I would not be returning. I got to my car, searched another provider, & set the wheels in motion. What an epic failure & total waste of time!!!! Sad..... bc I actually like the Dr I saw.

The surgery was above and beyond what I expected. I've been wearing glasses for more years than I can remember. After having eye surgery, I no longer need glasses for reading for looking at a computer screen driving or night. She also has an office at 1603 S Hiawassee Rd. Metrowest. My results are just WOW!!! Lasik Plus in Altamonte Springs made the entire process of getting Lasik super easy. The entire staff is turly knowledgeable about Lasik and PRK. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely excited for you to experience your results! The office make the entire process easy and streamlined; from consultation to the procedure. In your consultation you learn about Lasik and PRK, meet with your Optometrist to ensure Lasik or PRK is right for you, and answer any questions you may have. If you choose to proceed, map out your payment and schedule your procedure. The procedure, very mild discomfort for less then 5 mins. Whole procedure is done in like 15 mins... 15 mins to clear eyesight! When you leave you are given meds, vitamins, eye drops to aid your healing. After the procedure, go home, take a nap or lay down in a dark room (or wear shades) with music, audio book, or podcast for a few hours. Your eyes will burn and sting but it's tolerable. He asked me to please come back in so they could do some tests and he would show me the results. I agreed and after review I do need surgery in my right eye and he gave me several doctors to choose from as they don't do the kind of surgery I need. I felt better after talking with him. I still have very unfavorable issues with Sebastian since the first time I left a review. He had called me to threaten and belittled me after what I said in my review. There is no place in the business world where Sebastian belongs.

However, it was difficult to get the information from the facility. I did receive bits and parts through my other doctors. I had the surgery two years ago by Dr. Hunter. I had cataract surgery, then they said it would be best to upgrade to a better lense and laser. I listened, medicare with my supplement paid $6,500, then I needed to get an extra loan for $6,500. I was given Dr. Hunter as my doctor, he was very personable and sings great songs while working. However, I did not receive vision greater than legally blind with glasses after the surgery. After surgery with glasses 20/200 left eye and 20/60 both eyes together, legally blind. I went to Dr. Golen, an opthalmologist in Oviedo and he said the laser was done on top of the new lense without it adhering to the cornea, so it cannot be fixed. I just got large sclera hard contacts through Dr. Straughn from Winter Park Eye Associates who is the specialist in contact lenses. It is not covered by insurance, so the cost was $2,620. With the contacts I can see 20/30 vision, which perfect vision is considered 20/20 and anything higher than 20/40 is considered legally blind. Dr. Straughn also consulted another expert opthalmologist in Gainesville on my case. The interesting thing is why was the upgraded lense chosen and why did the lense not adhere to the cornea before the added laser surgery?
