New place with Very fresh food. Family owned. New favorite place to get Mexican food!

First time going to this establishment, must say glad we did, walking in your not hit in the face with all the Mexican embellishments all over the place, it's elegant simple simplicity, black white clean and plain good food. We were seated quickly and brought chips and salsa and a small really tasty hot one (very good and very hot) salsa was just ok to us it was more of a tomato sauce with cilantro and a few onion pieces. Then we ordered the enchilada's rancheros, OH MY! Two corn tortillas stuffed with a mozzarella mix and a red gravy sauce, not the typical red sauce (I don't like) but a mild gravy like sauce, then they put more of the sauce on top then a good helping of pulled pork (carnitas) WOWZER!!!! Eye brow raising good. Then you got the typical refried beans with some sprinkles of melty white cheese.. other dishes coming out of the kitchen looked equally as good. Never went to check out the bathrooms but I can bet they looked really nice. Our server Fredy did a great job, shout out to him for sure. I found Fuego Mexican Restaurant doing a Yelp search. The reviews were good so I decided to give it a try. This restaurant is relatively new and it's located in the shopping center, off of highway 55 (near the Cub) in Plymouth. I was impressed at how clean and attractive it was. We were there early for dinner and the place was almost empty. The menu has the usual Mexican dishes, so we ordered our go-to's so that we could compare them with other local Mexican restaurants we've been to. I have to say we were impressed. Another test for me is the quality of the pico de gallo salsa that comes with the chips. The salsa was clearly superior to most of the restaurants I've been to. The chips were excellent too. My wife had the street tacos which come with a choice of: Steak, Grilled chicken, chorizo (spicy pork sausage), Shredded pork (carnitas), Ground beef, Pastor, Shredded beef, Shredded chicken, Birria, and Nopales (mexican cactus)/queso fresco. She declared hers to the excellent. I had the chicken fajitas and they were prepared very well prepared and came out sizzling hot. I was impressed. The service was very attentive and they refilled my pop and the salsa, without having to be asked. Next time, I will branch out a bit and try one of their many other dishes. read more

I was happy to see a new restaurant open up in this space! I got take out for lunch: chicken fajitas and a trio of tacos. The space is very neutral, which I liked. They had my order ready on time. The food was good! My favorite part was the yellow/green salsa that came with the tacos, so good I could drink it on its own!! read more

Fantastic! Zero complaints! Fajitas were delicious, so was the quesadilla. Fast great service. And super inexpensive happy hour drinks!

Better than average Mexican food! The steak was soooo good. The burrito is a bit small. Highly recommend the quessidillas. I wasn't a big fan of the soft corn tortillas, but that's just preference. They didn't offer flour on the menu but it may be an option. Expect $15 a person or there abouts for food. Free chips and salsa! The salsa was fine. Super friendly staff, easy parking. The space is a little bland looking. 20 or so tables and bar spots, and a liquor menu available . Will be back! read more

Let's start with how kind the staff was! Very welcoming and also were very attentive to customers and guests ! The chips and salsa to start were honestly the best I've had and tasted homemade! I got the street tacos with chorizo and they were so good, the hot sauces that came along with it were also so yummy and the rice and beans were the best I've had. Really happy with this new spot!!! Food was amazing! Fajitas were delicious and my boyfriend loved the street tacos giving them a 9/10 because the flavor was so good just wished they used yellow onion instead of purple! We got guacamole with the complimentary chips. The guac was really good and the salsa was delicious too! A little kick but even my five year old loved it. The one thing I will say are the chips could use a little salt or warmth but still ate two bowls! The atmosphere is very nice, clean, cute Christmas decor all around. I really like the bar right in the front and look forward to bellying up for a marg in the cold winter. The service was also exceptional, greeted immediately, very nice server (Jose. Service was excellent! They were very friendly and attentive. Vibe was typical Mexican restaurant. Guacamole was fantastic! Chips were average. Shrimp and chicken were delicious, beef was a bit chewy. All in all this is a place I will return to and I look forward to the guacamole and trying something else from their large menu. read more

Stopped here to check it out and ordered the Carne Asada fries and they were a 10/10!!! They were so quick as well and it only took around 5 mins for them to make it fresh. Food is not good. If you want authentic Mexican cuisine you should go a little further down 169 and get taco de riendo. This place serves burritos with French fries and peppers that aren't cooked. Service was alright. Then to top it off they have an anti ice sticker on the front door and the front door is locked. What are you hiding in there? read more

The full menu is extensive but we ordered from the dedicated lunch menu and had beef enchilada plate (with rice and beans) and the taco salad. Both were flavorful! Another visit to Fuego Mexican Restaurant between Bachman's and Cub on hwy 55. We just got back from Mexico last weekend and were craving something Mexican already and we found our joy at Fuego. We had chicken quesadillas and Tacos (Al pastor, carnitas, and carne asada). Last time we had the fried ice cream for desert and thought we had died and gone to heaven. Tonight we had the Flan. OMG we thought we were in heaven and could even hear the angels singing it was that good. The waitress explained that it's not ordinary flan, its flan napolitano: in many parts of Mexico it's the special holiday flan. The secret ingredient? Kahlua! The flan was delicious! Can't wait to come back on a Monday or Wednesday when they have margarita specials all day! They've recently had their grand opening and they are really nice people, warm and welcoming. Absolutely AMAZING FOOD. My family has always been a fan of Mexican food. We even go to Mexico every year and finding this place was an absolute blessing. Our server while I forgot her name was absolutely lovely and she has great service. She even had the cooks make the habanero sauce made a little less spicy so it would hurt my grandpas belly. In a city that lacks good Mexican food ( LA native here) we found a new place that is pretty good!! Fuego just opened in Plymouth- right near the Cub foods/ Bachmans and I'd give it an 8.5. We had flautas, ( guacamole on the side) chile rellenos, chicken enchiladas, rice and beans and their chips and salsa. Again - I'm a tough customer and I'd definitely go back.
