Holy wow - this is the best gelato and sorbetto I've had in America! It's on par with the gelatos I had in Morocco, Spain, and Greece. There are lots of flavor options, and the portion sizes are reasonable. You can try a couple flavors without getting a quart of gelato like some ice cream shops serve as a double scoop (lol). The waffle cone was one of the best I've ever had. The vegan options are equally delicious as the dairy gelato. I had both, and honestly I would have been super satisfied with either option! This was our first time here! it was a Sunday afternoon and it was busy. We were helped right away and allow you to sample the gelato ( 2 per person) We ordered the vegan salted caramel in a cup, coffee espresso and a chocolate chip in a waffle cone. They have gelato with alcohol! I will hopefully come back and try them out! The place was pretty clean. They have other items on the menu; they have cold and hot drinks, candy and chocolate. They also have a small section with items that you can purchase. The have some tables inside and outside. Be prepared to pay 4% fee if you pay with a credit card. Such a fun place! They have a wide selection of gelato from the usual chocolate and vanilla to blueberry lavender and white chocolate mocha. The two at the front were so kind and helpful with our many requests to sample the flavors. The ice cream bins under the glass had such appetizing additions we couldn't resist trying nearly all of them. They have the option to spike your gelato with wine, along with spiked coffee options and wine slushees as well. My fiancé got the watermelon (interesting choice in my opinion, but he loved it on the hot day) and To his surprise - when I didn't opt for chocolate, my usual go-to - I got lemon cookie. I'm so glad we wandered into this gelato spot after my daughter enjoyed her free sample on the boardwalk! The people were so friendly and helpful, and generous with their samples. My husband opted for a cookies and cream, my daughter enjoyed vanilla (her favorite flavor of all ice creams, frostings, cakes), and OMG... the COOKIE BUTTER. I saw that as an option, had a taste, and YEP, that's the one! I'm still thinking about it a week after being at CB. That stuff is amazing! If you're a fan of cookie butter, try it here (fingers crossed they'll have it next time I'm in CB too!): deliciously creamy cookie butter gelato with bits of cookie too. So good! The shop itself is clean too. That can be tricky in a sweet shop that lots of little kiddos may wander into, but nothing was sticky when we were there. Clean, bright, big windows, friendly service. Latella was a great hidden gem during a rainstorm after a nice walk along the water. Originally we went there to escape the rain, but the gelato called our names. I loved the chocolate gelato and my friends loved the blueberry. The place was clean (cleanest shop on the boardwalk!) and the staff was friendly so really couldn't ask for much better.
