We decided to check out Laughs Unlimited in Old Town Sac. Ticket prices were pretty reasonable at $25 per person, but there is a catch: once inside, there's a two-item minimum per person. Service was impressively quick--just two staff members were handling the entire room, and our food and drinks came out fast. The food itself was okay; we ordered the chicken ranch wrap and the chocolate cake. However, the two featured cocktails we tried were pretty disappointing--basically sugary syrup in a glass. The comedy, though, made up for it. The first comedian gave us some solid laughs. The second performer didn't really land with the crowd, and the room got pretty quiet. But Nancy Lee absolutely killed it--she had us cracking up the entire time. Overall, it was a fun night out in Old Town.

Wandering around Old Town and decided to give this place a try. Got the tickets right as we walked in, not too bad, then started drinking and hanging out. Be warned that there is a 2 item minimum AFTER you sit down for the show, and anything you get in the bar before that does not count. This would have been more ok to me if the food and cocktails weren't what I would call, absolutely awful. You gotta stick to beer/shots/wine if you go here, the cocktails are absolutely awful, just a bunch of sugar crap thrown together for the sake of making the cup a pretty color. You have been warned. We also got the chocolate cake and a ranch wrap. The chocolate cake tasted FULLY BURNT across the entire top, like it was sat right under a broiler. The Chicken Ranch Wrap was fine but it was quite strange to see olives falling out of it right off the bat. The hell do olives need to be in a crispy chicken wrap for. The comedy itself was fine, but the performer in the middle absolutely bombed, little to no laughs from the entire crowd, this doesn't reflect on the comedy club though, just happens. Nancy Lee on the other hand, pretty fun, we enjoyed that part.

Laughs unlimited has been a staple in Old Sacramento since 1980. It's a great place to have a fun time, the owner Jenny is amazing, the bartenders make the best tasting drinks!!! the staff is so wonderful pleasant and friendly, not to mention the kitchen staff goes above and beyond, I've had their quesadillas so good and when I ordered the nachos they give you so much loved how fresh everything was they even have a hummus wrap for a great vegan option everything is worth the price!!! The buffalo chicken dip is to die for, there are a good amount of different varieties of food available. Great natural lighting from the skylights during the day, and when it gets dark the lighting is just as amazing plenty of seating in the bar area and surrounding the bar very nostalgic. The bathrooms are clean and stocked with toiletries, in the show room lots of tables and seats to enjoy the show, the stage is nice and lit very well, they have shows quite often it depends on what days they have comedians, you can pre buy tickets online or pay when you get here it's reasonably priced at 25 dollars a person with a two item minimum but it can be soda or water or alcoholic beverages, non alcoholic cocktails or even food. On Saturdays and Fridays they have double shows one at 7pm and another at 9pm, during the week days it's one show at 7pm. I recommend this place Stop by and laugh your ass off!!!

-I received 2 free tickets for my birthday month to pick a comedy show of my choice. -2 drink and 1 food item minimum -Parking lots nearby as street parking in this area can be challenging -Sound and visibility is good What I wasn't a fan of: -Sticky tables, uncomfortable seats -Slow service, took about 20 min to get drink orders -I ordered coffee, they forgot cream/sugar. When I asked for it I was given a bowl or creamers (good), and a box containing some opened honey packets and used sugars. It's dark during the performance so my hand went into the sticky goo. I wasn't thrilled about that.

2 item minimum with your ticket purchase - items can be food or drink and do not have to be alcoholic. If the bar is open, you can sit and drink before the show but those drinks do not count toward your minimum. Their food and drink prices are better than other local comedy show venues. However, the nachos were weird. The cheese was warm but not melted, it was almost plastic. The quesadillas were good, but had quite a bit of crusty tortilla on the end where the cheese did not reach. The drinks tasted great. The service was quick and our server was kind. We saw 5 local-ish comedians and it was okay, but nothing special. Our tickets were only $10 so we didn't expect the best ever. We did laugh though throughout the night!! The chairs were SUPER uncomfortable. It didn't feel like they even had cushion on them. They also swayed and felt like if you leaned over it would break.

This place is great for date nights, friends gathering, birthday celebrations and anything you can think of to lift your spirits. You'll definitely enjoy your time here! Tonight I got to see our local comedian Carlos Rodriguez! I had the nachos with chicken and a beer! There's a two item minimum and the staff is great !

This is a fun night out if looking for something fun to do. We were lucky enough to catch Heath Harmison this past Saturday and the dude was hilarious. We laughed until our face hurt! Venue is pretty good but drinks are not that great, they were very sweet so I ended up choosing bottled water for my second required item. Chairs are not super comfy either but it was fine for a couple hours. A very fun night out!

Overall my experience here was a miss! The comedians were all great from start to finish but the venue was a mess from start to finish. My boyfriend and I arrived around 9:24p for the 10:30 show so we decided to sit at the bar and grab a light drink before the show. We weren't sure if the offered food at the bar however 1. I knew the two item minimum inside and 2. The reviews on the food seemed horrid at best so drinks it was. To start the bartender was efficient and attentive so 5 stars there. The drinks there were fine. - raw experience began to go downhill when there was no rhyme or reason to hold to enter for the show. When I say it was an unorganized mess it was chaos. For this to be an established business with a long history of hosting events *SIDE EYE* just NO! The "line" or lack of was just all the patrons attempting to gain admittance to the room we all we're collectively stating the line situation was a mess. -Cue the second thing that made the experience a miss. word of advice fire everyone in the kitchen because ABSOLUTELY NOT! My expectations were below the bottom after I read the minimal reviews on Yelp but decisions had to be made as we had 4 items to run the tab up. BOTTOM LUNE EVERY ITEM WE ORDERED WAS TRASH In no particular order, -Nachos there was maybe 6-10 small pieces of chicken for the additional $3 we paid and even without the chicken added the nachos were blah at best. Our entire table was talking about how disgusting they looked lol. The beans were on the bottom and barely accessible and the cheese was shredded and not warm and gooey at all. - ordered another vodka and cran and paid up for Tito's.. did not get Tito's even tho we paid for it - ordered one of their signature mocktails it wA nothing to write home about. -finally we tried the one thing I saw a good review of and that was the lava cake and scoop of ice cream. It's the next day and I am still mind blown at how you can mess that up. The lava cake tasted burnt and just NO. I don't even know how to explain the taste but it was pretty bad. To make matters worse the baby scoop of ice cream just made me mad -_- Overall i wouldn't suggest ordering any of the above mentioned items or the salad and hummus (the other party at the table was not impressed) Since you have to order two items per guest do yourself a favor and order basic drinks but not their signature cocktails/mocktails The two stars that were earned were the comedians were hilarious and the server did offer great service 5 stars for that. As for returning I'm bummed that this is the place comedians choose to come and have their audience send their hard earned coins. They have a few other comedians coming that looked interesting but we will be ordering fountain drinks and grabbing food somewhere else around the venue.

Came here for a local comedy show, purchased the ticket on their website. Located in Old town sac, there's street parking that's metered until 10pm and has a 2 hour max, and there's a parking garage nearby. I thought the front bar waiting area was the actual venue but there's a showcase area, it's pretty big, bright lights, forward facing chairs, the menu is via QR code and you order through the server. There usually is a 2 item minimum which includes bottled water and food. Their cocktails are ok, more on the sweeter side, I got the island train or something, one of my friends got an old fashioned and it was a fruity old fashioned. Their chicken strips looked good and their quesadilla and Buffalo chicken wrap was all right. Nice big venue With bathrooms.

We had an amazing time at laughs unlimited! It's kind of pricey to get in for show especially considering there is a two item minimum per person you have to buy during a show so that brings you to around $50 a person just for one comedy show. But it was totally worth it! My fiance and I had a great time and the comedians were hilarious!

Tonight was a great break from the quarantine of the 2020-2021 pandemic. The entertainment was perfect. The staff was friendly but not intrusive to your experience. The wait staff was all in masks to make you feel safe and comfortable. The lack of the fifth star is because of the food. However, you don't go for the food, and if you follow me, you know, I only reserve a 5-star rating for exceptional venues. This was an experience I will have to do again and again. The one 5-star thing was the drinks for me. I was the designated driver as always, and the none alcohol drinks were fire . I would go to order the Shirley something cheer drink.

Ask the Community - Laughs Unlimited

Are all shows outside right now?

No, as of last Saturday 5/8/21, they were having shows inside and out.

Is the seating assigned for the comedy show?

Sort of. When they check you in they have a hostess that leads you to your seat/table. They basically fill in the place row by row instead of letting people pick their own seats

This is my first classic martini (unlike lychee martinis I've had before at other places). My server asked how I like it, with olive juice or with lemon twist or another option I don't remember. To be honest I don't know how I like it because it's is my first classic martini. So I was honest with him. I said I'll do whatever you recommend because I wanted to try a classic martini cuz I've been watching Gossip Girl. I felt silly admitting I wanted a martini because of a tv show. But my server actually did his research and found that Blair (a main character in the show) likes her martini with a lemon twist. And that is the martini I got. He brought frozen glass and poured the drink on the spot. It was such a vibe and a great drink. For food I got the grilled prawns. This dish is delicious and goes so well with my martini! For my second drink I got the shiso fresh. I was debating between two drinks and asked my server for suggestions. He is absolutely right with this recommendation. Shiso fresh is refreshing and sweet but not too sweet. I loved it. Service is wonder and drinks are tasty. I can't wait to come back!

Travis mixed up what could very well have been the best Old Fashioned we've ever had. It's not my preferred cocktail, but if more were like this one, that may be another story. I opted for the Kumquat Kiss, which was delicious and different. Besides that Old Fashioned, the Hash Brown Lyonnaise really stole the show. Pillow-light hash brown sticks (how did they do that?!) with a scrumptious onion dip with crispy shallots and finely chopped chives. This is one of my top happy hour dishes of the year. Just wow! Try it yourself and tell me you don't agree. The Grilled Prawns missed the mark for me a bit, although the husband liked them. Tasty, but just not as much of a star as the other dish. Only suggestion is to have a happy hour menu for bites as well as beverages, as is found on the website. This would help avoid the need for staff to present a dinner menu (which admittedly, I was confused by) and acknowledge that the first course options are all available but at no happy hour discount (which felt a bit awkward for all involved). Overall, a delightful discovery!

I remember seeing it mentioned on the news too. I got there when it opened at 7pm so it was pretty quiet, but I got a good feel and vibe from the place. The manager also interacted with me and told me that just last night, the place had some popular DJ and packed the place in. He showed me a video of what the scene looked like and all I can say is wow (in a good way). The best way I think I could describe this spot would be a more intimate Las Vegas night club on the strip while not compromising the quality of cocktails and providing a multi-sensory experience of lights, sounds and energy. I left when things started to get busy but I am confident in saying that you won't be disappointed and feel like you got your money's worth for sure.... especially when they will be having events there. If you get there shortly after it opens, I think you can count on more of a lounge sort of vibe. When it starts getting later or there's a DJ spinning (especially a well known one), then the place turns into an upscale nightclub. Circling back to my experience, I tried their "Plot Twist" cocktail which consists of things like bourbon, lemon, honey, fig jam and walnut and it was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. Nicely balanced, smooth, inviting and little to no bite. Just a damn good cocktail that I really enjoyed. There were three bartenders there which were Karla (who made my drink), Ian (who made my second drink that I can't remember what the name was), and Danny. They were all really nice, fun and outgoing bartenders that made me feel welcomed while also maintaining a fun demeanor. I asked if it was ok with them to take their pic since some people don't like that and they were cool with it. The bar seats being a little small were surprisingly comfy and tested out the lounge seating which is also comfy and provides perfect views of everything going on (in case you ever want to reserve a spot). There is no bad seat in the house, the music system is very clear with high end audio, and overall you can tell that a lot of thought and effort was put into this place by people who know what they are doing. A couple of other things to note is that the menu they have on their counter does not display all of the cocktails. There are more on their website which you can look up by going onto their website. When they are in their busy hours, you can reserve spots and get bottle and I think that if you know it's going to be a busy night, it will be worth it to do with a group. There will probably be a door charge later in the night so be prepared for that, however I did see on their website that they do have a guestlist so take advantage of that! They do have a dress code so when in doubt, just dress to impress and you should have no trouble getting in. The average cocktail is around $15 and think it's reasonable for the kind of cocktail you will be able to get. Archive is open on certain days so be sure to double check that they are open before going. Ultimately, if you haven't been yet, this is one place you should definitely check out at least once. If you're more into the lounge vibe, get there early. If you're more into the clubbing vibe, get there a little later or check out their events for the ultimate experience. I will definitely be back and this place is raising the bar on K Street and whole area. Oh yeah, and lastly, they do accept tap to pay including Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay as well as credit/debit cards and cash. Thanks for the great time guys!
