I really liked this place! After much hype, my friend and I decided to visit last night and we were not disappointed. Service: I wouldn't be surprised if our waitress was a Suicide Girl in her spare time. She was gorgeous, covered in interesting tattoos, and gave great service. She was nice and attentive without being overbearing. She mentioned attributes of the menu (ordering family style, entrees take longer), and was overall very helpful. The busboys were always refilling our waters and had friendly smiles. One busboy also asked how everything was at the end of the night, it seemed like he really cared. Food/Drinks: DELICIOUS! I drank a Skinny Fog first. When I saw the "beet infused vodka" drink on the menu I was beyond sold. And it tasted great! My friend and I shared the house fries, the asparagus, and the margherita pizza- all super yummy! The asparagus was served with a fried egg and pea pesto, a dish i would eat every day if I had my way. My only small complaint is that the pizza was a little soggy. Not watery, just too much (great) sauce atop the thin crust. Price: 3 cocktails and 3 shared plates totaled $76 and change. We were expecting something like this. The food was great and so were the drinks, so for $45 each (after tip), it wasn't the most expensive meal in the world. I would definitely come back. read more

Absolutely love this spot! The first time I came here, we ended up getting brunch outside on the patio. I got the Ih burger with peppercorn aioli, it was much needed due to my hangover! My friend got the chicken and biscuit, and it looked scrumptious! Definitely getting it next time, or the 3 cheese grilled cheese! I came here late night a few times after that. Heres a tip: get there by 9:30PM so you don't have to wait in the long line. The line starts to form by 10PM. This place gets packed! Ritzy, WeHo/Beverly Hills crowd. Love the decor and ambiance. Dim lit lights. I've tried the Gavrons Boogle drink which has a chile/salt rim. Delicious! Last night, I tried the Gangster. I got dental surgery in the morning so wanted a drink that wasn't too strong. The Gangster was perfect. Cucumber vodka, refreshing watermelon, and a hint of lime. Have been here a couple of times for dinner, and it has been quite good both times. The place is trendy and loud and has a good overall upbeat vibe. They generally are very busy, so I would highly recommend making a res. My biggest gripe is that they never seat us right away and always encourage people to wait at the bar until the table is ready. I think this is just a way to milk a c few extra drinks out of the dinner parties. The last time we went we ordered a lot of I she's to share. Everything from the chicken wings to the kale sprouts were very tasty. The steak was flavorful, but didn't stand out. The menu changes frequently, so I would ask the waiter about recommendations. Drinks are good, not great. Will definitely be back - most likely for a night out on the town next time. read more

While the food and drink were ok, expensive but ok, nobody seemed to be having very much fun. It's a nice place, with a great front (left over from its original days as an actual hardware store), but clearly a place to show up and look good, as opposed to actually having a very nice time. Don't get me wrong. There are lots of smiles. But... I have lived in the area a while, and have always seen beautiful, well-dressed people standing outside waiting for their Ubers. But I guess they just look good, and don't actually like to enjoy themselves very much. Great staff and great place. Unfortunately it was far from enough. The food was average. $20 a salmon tartare. The ridiculously small quantity served was a joke. It only represents one bite. My friend took a tuna tartare. The quantity was as small as my salmon tartare. Then the salmon with asparagus... the fish was there again very small, very flat and overcooked. The asparagus were burnt. $32 for this... My friends and I ended up going to Bottega Louie to have a real dinner as we left this restaurant starving. So disappointing. Stopped by on a Saturday night, place was packed. Highly suggest making a reservation if you plan on having dinner. Beautiful outdoor patio area for dining, inside is very nice as well. Since I didn't have a reservation, I was lucky enough to grab a table in the "Mezcal Room". This is a tequila room within the restaurant and includes the full food menu. I ordered the Truffle Fries, Lollipop Sprouts (over rated), and Short Rib Papardelle (pasta made fresh). The food was good, not a huge fan tho. Not really my style of cuisine. Service was great. Drinks were strong. Place is a little expensive, but what do you expect from a boujee spot in W. Hollywood? Overall I recommend coming here. We came back for brunch yesterday, still a perfect choice. Outstanding burger, and exquisite fries. Just delicious. Presentation, food, drinks - we had a cocktail called The Recovery that was awesome. And the grapefruit vodka mimosa carafe was just right. Oh, that burger! I've been here on numerous occasions for numerous reasons. The venue is pretty nice in size and design. I must admit that the crowd is not typically my scene but the drinks are well. We all know that you can't go wrong with strong drinks and great service. This is more of a social scene and not a hip bar. Either way one can come enjoy his or herself and make a production out of the night. My advice is to come with your own circle of friends because it's kind of difficult to jump into a random circle. It seems like everyone knows everyone here at this place. Beautiful people every where is always good as well. read more

The place is really great. The cocktails are tasty and the food is amazing. I was in LA for a two nights, and I went back on Saturday after I loved eating there on Friday. It is definitely a sharing type place, get a few appetizers and split them. That way you can taste MORE things. Nothing was disappointing for me. Reservations are recommended if you want to eat outside, and it is really nice out there. The bar is fun too, a bit loud if you want to talk. But would return if I am in town again. read more

Was so excited to try out Laurel! The atmosphere is top-notch, and the audience is sceney, young, and fun. Definitely a place to see and be seen, perfect for a date or girls night. The menu was stellar and the food was pretty good, however we did have a few issues-likely due to our server. After explaining she'd course our our order-everything came at once and half the items got cold, and didn't get checked-in on after the foods delivery. We had to flag her down for a second drink. I'll chalk it up to a COVID learning curve, with all staff a bit overwhelmed with the increase of guests. Excited to try it out again soon and will update my review then. read more

Your typical West Hollywood low-lighting restaurant with an amazing patio (seating area) and a full bar. The exterior is supposed to represent a "hole in the wall" type place; posing as a "hardware" store, but really it is an amazing restaurant. Our waitress was really nice and attentive! We started out with the truffle fries, and then divided and got two entrees: the duck fried rice and the skirt steak. All the food was incredible, for it had consisted of a lot of flavor and texture. The ambience was really warm and calm. There was music playing throughout the entire night, making the restaurant come alive. Parking was valet, and the attire ranged from trendy to dressy casual. The only downside from not being a 5 star restaurant is that they have extremely low tables against a leather couch which counted as a table for two. It was extremely stressful constantly hunching over and lowering my head, and not to mention straining my neck while eating. However, overall great restaurant with amazing food. read more

I came here for a brunch date, and I fell in love. It's like a little secret hideaway. If you don't pay attention when you're driving down the boulevard, you'll miss this little spot. When you come here, come early as the place does fill up fast. If you can make reservations ahead of time, that would be your best bet. Final note: try the breads. Laurel Hardware was surely an upset. My boyfriend surprised me with a dinner reservation here for this evening that he booked nearly a month ago. When we arrived for our 7:30pm reservation, we were promptly seated in the front mezcal bar, which was quite empty. We immediately asked to be moved to the main dining room, at which point we were brought outside to the back patio. We were quite hesitant with this move given that there was nobody else seated outside, and it was unseasonably cold and damp (50 degrees). We once again asked if we could be seated inside and were quickly informed that the patio would be full within 10 minutes and there was nothing to worry about (spoiler - everyone that came outside quickly moved indoors). Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, but not about the ingredients in the dishes. She did help us move indoors eventually, and we were seated at a table for 2 after a short wait. The food was ok - flavourful, but not mind-blowing. For reference, we ordered the crispy shrimp, chicken sliders, and mushroom pizza. The pizza was the highlight, though I would give it a 7/10 due to the floppy crust and overall flavour. We were not checked on, and were served by many people once inside, making it hard to keep track (which is likely the reason behind the lack of service we received). Once we were done eating, we sat unattended for 10+ minutes waiting to have someone come by to pack up our leftovers and get our bill. I am quite disappointed with this dinner. I am not sure if it is because we looked young (we're in our mid 20s) or are not regulars, but we surely did not get the same experience as even those seated around us. This establishment has been recommended to me by multiple people, so I was expecting an overall decent experience at the minimum, especially considering online ratings. I would be hard pressed to recommend this restaurant as the food is good, but not at the level of some nearby restaurants, and did not make up for the rest of our experience hence my low rating. read more

The one star is for our waitress Kaela, she was awful. We were greeted by our waitress and ordered drinks and a few appetizers. Drinks came, food came. After we were done with our appetizers the plates continued to stay on the table. When the main course came, the appetizers plates were still on the table. Grr... our waitress was no where to be found. Then, I got up to use the bathroom, and on my way out of the bathroom on my way to wash my hands, I see our waitress come out of the bathroom and not wash her hands. Yuck! I used to love this place, but it's not what it used to be. It used to be difficult to get reservations on the same day - now there seems to always be last minute reservations available, which is great, I guess but makes me wonder why... The one thing that is not great is that they stopped making the Juan Pablo cocktail. They no longer offer it and do not have the ingredients to make it if you ask for it (rum chata, rum, pineapple juice, cinnamon). It's not as if this was a seasonal drink-- it was a popular drink that they just decided to remove from the cocktail menu, for whatever reason. It's disappointing. read more

Ahhhhh mannnnn! Deeply upset that I have had to change this from a 5 to 3 star :( What's happened to my favourite restaurant?! The service is terrible now! Nothing was cleared up after first course and the servers started bringing out the main course without cleaning up our busy table. And when I politely asked if the table could be cleared the waiter looked really pissed off at me! He then left the dirty cutlery on my napkin for the main course! Eeeeek! I mean that's just gross! We used to love the Brussels and ordered a few rode the table. It's was sooooo greasy and actually think it was fried kale! Items were missing from the dishes (such as capers on the fish). I did something I don't usually do. I saw Laurel Hardware's menu online and made a dinner reservation before looking at yelp review. *gasp*! I saw the bad reviews complaining about the staff and ambiance. So I asked to sit on the patio and came in expecting an un-friendly staff. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. I found our waitress to be attentive and friendly. As far as the ambiance - I asked for patio seating and found it to be very nice. It was generally not too loud and had some romantic lighting. The inside area did seem pretty dark and noisy so it's probably better for groups / drinks and not dinner. The food was great. The chicken wings were tasty and so were the lollipop sprouts. We also got the squash and duck fried rice. It was actually quite a bit of food and we thoroughly enjoyed all of it. I would come here again for sure. read more

I love the name of this place! If you missed it it's not actually a hardware store. My job had their holiday party here we're a small group about 30 people max and they accommodate us so well and even give us a section to go to after we ate to do our little white elephant gift exchange. I was the first one there and had two cocktails before anyone else arrived and already had our bill to almost $40. Cocktails were good, so no worries. We all ordered 5 or 6 dishes and shared, the food was excellent. Service was great. The second time I went was a different story , went with a friend for a drink and snack. Service was terrible we sat for 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We ordered 2 cocktails and 2 appetizers. Neither of us could drink the cocktails, they were so gross (huge disappointment after my original experience) then we got the apps, they were cold and inedible. We never actually saw our server again. Runners brought everything. When it came time to pay we had to flag down a random employee. Not sure I'll try again. read more

Server Justin barely checked on us, refilled water twice, and when I asked for a burger with just meat and cheese it didn't come with a bun. Then get the first bun and it's black it's so burned. Ask for a second and that's the picture. The server NEVER apologized. The manager didn't introduce herself, she came over and said "what's going on" so we didn't even know who she was. The only person who cared and was nice was the head chef I found when I was looking for someone to help me. The manager didn't apologize either. The lack of customer service and treatment here is NOT worth the ambiance and the drinks were okay at best. So much for celebrating my best friends birthday. Never coming back here and I really suggest you go to pump or elsewhere where they give a shit. Can also see them all standing together, looking at us, pointing, and presumably talking poorly about us. So unprofessional, so uncomfortable, and down right deplorable treatment. read more

This place is great for either grabbing a drink or having dinner. Their food is decent but leans towards smaller portions. They also have an outside patio which helps if you need some air or wanted to sit outside. You can sit at the bar (not a big one) and there's a fun cocktail list but most of them are pretty sweet. They have wine slushies!!! The octopus dish was BOMB! Good for groups or meeting with a friend or two. read more

Yesterday evening I arrived on time to my dinner reservation, was told it would be a 10-15 minute wait for my table, and was told to wait by the bar. 45 minutes later I asked to get an update on my table and was rudely dismissed by the hostess who turned around while I was speaking to her. Shortly after, instead of the manager coming over to diffuse the situation, the doorman approached me and my friends. He proceeded to take his mask off (standing within a couple feet of me) and scolded me in front of many other customers and told me that the chef wouldn't serve me until I apologized to the hostess. I felt very threatened and harassed by him and ended up leaving the restaurant because I did not feel safe eating at this establishment which is a shame because I've always enjoyed my dinners there since it opened nearly 10 years ago. Not to mention, instead of eating at a table outside, we ended up standing inside a crowded bar for almost an hour. read more

Laurel Hardware really did not meet our expectations. we made a reservation for 9 pm for 12 people and talked to the host on the phone and they confimed we would be outside. we only made a reservation there for a birthday to be sitting outside together. When we showed up for our reservation at 8:55 they said just wait a couple minutes. then, 10 minutes later i asked about a table and they told us we could not sit outside. after talking with the staff for 30 minutes we were given the option to sit inside at the bar together (in a super dark and loud environment) or sit on two tables outside. since it has been 40 minutes and no tables have opened up we opted for two tables separated from each other outside. After that, they gave us some free food, brussels sprouts, squash pizza, and shrimp. i may be biased because i am allergic to brussels sprouts and squash but the food was not good. we also ordered pasta which was really sour and pizza which was ok at best. i'm sorry but i would never return here. our waitress palovi was awesome though. i also asked to speak with management multiple times and they didn't come. read more

Laurel Hardware has a beautiful outdoor space with Olive trees and twinkle lights. Great for Covid dining since the tables are spaced out. However they didn't seem to enforce masks since diners walked around without masks. The fries were very tasty and our prosciutto pizza was also very good. Let me start this out by saying that this would have been a 1-star review if not for the manager Jannine. I've came here for years - weekends out, girls brunch, a quick drink, date night and everything in between - it's a West Hollywood staple. However, tonight I was greeted by the rudest hostess I've ever had the (dis)pleasure of meeting. I'm talking straight up lied to us about having no place to seat us when it was 5pm and we were the first ones to arrive at the restaurant (they open at 5pm)....yeah... After many "miscommunications" with the staff, Jannine came over and went above and beyond for us. She is a class act and because of the care she took to remedy the ridiculous situation, I'll be back. One of my favorite new places to take friends & business associates too. All service (bartenders, servers, busers, and even the cute hostesses (usually those gate keepers can be painful to even talk too about getting a table in a popular place) with a smile even when it's crazy busy is exactly what you want in a hot spot. Food is amazing and I would rate one of the best places in the immediate area. Drinks are exceptional and the Mixologists actually care about the product they are putting out. I've been here several times and have always had a great experience! However, it was my last visit that compelled me to write this review. I came here last weekend for my friends birthday. Everything was a pre-fixe menu. We had several appetizers and dishes, which were all great, but the one dish that stood out was the Short Rib Pappardelle! It was so good, flavorful, and rich! In addition to the great food, strong drinks, ambiance, beautiful outdoor area, and pretty crowd, we had exceptional service from our waiter, Chris! Even though it was a really busy night, Chris took care of our entire party of 14 all on his own, and was very attentive and did so with a positive and friendly attitude!
