This speakeasy was pretty ok. The drinks were good, seating was decent. It looks nicer in photos than it does in person. It gets pretty busy too so you have to wait at the bar for a few minutes before ordering your drink. I might give it another shot another night. read more

Fri night no reservations, 30 min wait. No problem go to the small bar off to the side. Wonderful bartender. We had two cocktails that were Delicious, $25 worth every penny. I had a mist of absinthe, so I have a nice glow on. Hostess comes and walks to the back patio area then sees some else sitting at our table. She was us wait against the wall. She walks away and we stand in the way of employees not knowing what is happening. 5 min later we're told we have to wait as someone sat our table and we have to wait for another to clear. So we stand and wait. Not glowing so much now. 2 employees ask if we've been helped we say we were told to wait and off they went. A server took us to a table. We are glowing again. Then no one, but staff keep looking and pointing at us. I stop a busser to get us water as he delivers it the manager comes up and tells him not to put it down and asks why we are sitting here. We tell him people rush around then we are told people seat themselves and they thought we were standing waiting to take a free table. No glow again. Finally a server shows up, no apology by the manager or the server for the misunderstanding. We order an app and a glass of wine. As we eat our appetizer we are given a check. we ask why we were given this and we were told that the server was informed we were just having apps and drinks and that they need our table as there is a larger party. We were told that. I'm not glowing at all. We go to leave and I ask to speak to the manager and ask what is up. He claims it's all a misunderstanding. I ask what I am misunderstanding. Well we, they, you. No one took responsibility for any of the mix ups. And then tried to blame me for not understanding that they don't know how to communicate with each other. I would not recommend this place. Not welcoming not accommodating not willing to take responsibility and not one "I'm sorry about that" that's all anyone wants is an I'm sorry. First of, I'll start with the good. Service here is always great. The staff are welcoming and very attentive. If i were to rate only based on service it would be 5 stars. The food however, is meh at best. If you are going to eat I would stick to the pizza, the Italian sausage, Margherita pizza and pepperoni are always a good bet. The arugula salad is good as well. I had the pasta al forno... I might as well had a salt cube. We live in the neighborhood, and this is not the first time we have eaten here... great place for drinks and happy hour but skip it for dinner. read more

If you want a scene, this is where you can find one. The bar a hopping, so much so that it overflows into the dining area making the restaurant part very loud to the point where it's obnoxious. The service is not accommodating even if you have a reservation so don't come expecting a nice meal with good service. The food itself had some interesting moments but it's soooo heavy. With a hardware store exterior, don't be fooled. He interior is a mix of open glass panels and hardware industrial style with wooden flooring and a mixture of couches to lounge on amidst bar tops, high tops and tables. A gorgeous outdoor setting with trees and fairy lights nestled amidst it all, a great spot for happy hour (which starts at 6). I would love to come back for dinner when I have the time. This wonderful, inside bar/resto with beautiful patio is right around the corner of my last home in WeHo back in the 90's. I so wanted to love this place, but the uncomfortable, squeezed seating forced us to have a share high table with other people. We ordered quite lightly, two women, not very hungry, mostly appies and a few side veggies. One glass of wine each, no dessert, and the total bill was $180 including tip. If it had been stellar, I'd say go back. It's disappointing to pay that much when you know that in less than one hour's prep time, you could have done so much better and had a better bottle of wine. I came in on a Saturday night just for drinks with a friend and we found ourselves on in the back on one of the ~ultra~ chic couches (after asking several employees if it was open seating and getting vague answers). The whole experience was kind of meh, $15 for a Moscow mule that wasn't even in a copper mug was kind of lame, but the ambience is very cool and relaxing. However, the waitstaff was a little inattentive. We asked for water several times ( we had finished our drinks by the time it finally made it to our table) but the couple sitting right next to us mentioned they were hungry and the waitress immediately brought out a free app - just because. So while our dining companions were munching down on a free tuna tartare my friend and I were awkwardly trying to flag down the waitress just to get water. Maybe they were regulars, idk but the whole experience kinda rubbed me the wrong way. read more

I had a great meal last night with in their new redesigned outdoor space. From the temperature checks, social distancing, and encouraging us to sanitize our hands before entering the restaurant made us feel like the restaurant really cared about our safety. The GM was working the host stand, and she seated us outside at a great table with leather high back chairs. This is no pump or any other "upmarket" restaurant around Weho! We Arrived 10 mins before our seating time, was advised to stand at the bar for about 20 mins, we weren't even escorted in to the bar by the hostess. Bar was so packed with people everywhere that the bartender only served us like 12 mins later trying to get his attention. Drinks arrived, watered down and tasteless. After about 25 mins we received our text message that the table was ready. Saving grace was the outside ambience. The food is not well seasoned or tasty, you could taste the spices in the sauce, not to mention the bbq/Tabasco sauce glaze they use for the ribs (this is my second time, and thought maybe it was just the first time), it wasn't great. Love this place. The atmosphere is chic and relaxing. Beautiful outdoor "patio" in the back is so cute, especially at night when they have the trees lit up! Food is really good too. honestly wish i could give zero stars. my boyfriend and i came here for his birthday dinner and ended up leaving after 20 minutes of sitting at our table being ignored, not greeted once by a waitress. my boyfriend was the only person of color and coincidentally we were the only people being ignored. multiple all white couples and parties were sat after us and were immediately attended to. so sad y'all are still treating people of color poorly considering majority of the busters and cooks were latino. read more

This is a great date night spot. We can here for the 6-7PM happy hour, and got a metered spot Right away! Talk about luck--we did have to pay as it was a holiday . The menu ranged from 5-10-15 and beers wines and two $10 cocktails on the menu. One with gin (I got this one) and one with vodka. We also got the pizza and wings which most certainly didn't disappoint. The service was on the slower side, but I can't complain as we did have a great time and the atmosphere is super lovely, ask for a table Outside. My first experience here was 5 five stars. However, I went for the second time last night and had to change my review to two stars. In all of my dining experience (and I dine a lot) this one took the cake for the worst. My boyfriend and I had a reservation at 8:30. We were seated in the patio area and immediately put in our food orders because we were starving. Time went by and another couple sat down at a table next to us. The couple next to us got their fries and salad even before we got our kale Caesar! Eventually, my entree came first, but I was done eating mine even before my boyfriend's entree came?! Honestly, it was super awkward. To top it all off, the waitress did not seem apologetic and did not bring a box for my leftovers. We didn't get out of there until 10:00. We made a reservation for 8:30 and they called us and let us know they were behind and pushed our reservation to 8:45. We arrive at 8:45 and then stand around (and you will likely have to STAND) until 9:30 until we are seated. I would have been much less annoyed if they would have let us know that they were running that much behind because we could have settled in or thought about making plans somewhere else but they told us over and over again "We're cleaning off some tables now it'll only be a few minutes". I think it's really insulting planning. I did not like feeling like I was being tricked into waiting around.. particularly because the food and drinks we had were really not worth the pain in my feet from standing around in heels. Food isn't bad but it's not great either. Definitely not worth waiting for so I'd recommend anyone who isn't seated at their exact reservation time to just go somewhere else. Also they only have two unisex restrooms in the whole place so when it's late and the bar is busy, you're going to have to wait in a pretty darn long line for the restroom. Make sure you pee before you eat so your food doesn't get cold! read more

Yea so I'm not really one to complain much, but last night wasn't the most pleasant experience I've ever had I'm guessing it doesn't matter because I have friends that go to Laurel hardware a lot and they always seem busy so it's gotta be working. Last night I went with a couple friends made a reservation it was a Monday. When we got there we were seated it was about 20 minutes before happy hour was over and it wasn't very busy but it took about 15 minutes before a server came to even ask about drinks. I actually had just walked to the bar just to get drinks before happy hour was over. That would have been okay had I not had to wait almost an hour for the harvest grain bowl which is basically a salad. I hate how I sound complaining but we ordered a pizza and fries and that came out well before the bowl did I had almost forgotten myself and one of my friends had reminded me and I had to find a server who then told mine and when I mentioned it to her it was as if she didn't know I ordered it so she must have forgotten or not put it in. But it was likely just a bad experience. The ambiance is nice very it's a beautiful place there isn't any parking so I'd suggest you Uber and the cocktails are nice. I would have given it at least 3 stars but our waitress barely checked on us which made it so much worse. read more

Location: smack dab in the center of WeHo Decor/Ambiance: very pretty. dimly lit, pretty center bar, cute outdoor patio, nice seating options inside for date night or intimate parties. Drinks: GOOD DRINKS! I had a very well done Whiskey Sour here and the bartender was very nice. Food: also very good. Recommend the margarita pizza, arugula salad, truffle fries and the skirt steak. Everything was well seasoned and cooked properly. Went here for my birthday and requested an outside seat on the patio. No guarantees but they said they'd try. When we arrived we were asked to wait at the bar for about 30 mins, after which we were shown to an indoor huge group table (with people we didn't know). I asked if we could wait longer at the bar until a spot outside opened up and they said it would be an hour and a half. All the while other people were being seated outside on arrival. We took the indoor communal seating but I asked if we could sit at a table with chairs instead of stools (I have a bad back). Apparently none available, although the booth across from us was empty for our entire meal. I never knew seating could be this complicated! While the food was delicious, and our server was nice, the terrible hosting service and the poor seating organization soured our experience. I prefer this place for the ambiance and the scenery as it's very trendy with low/dim lighting, perfect for a night out. However, I'm not a huge fan of the food/their menu. In my (very) humble opinion, the food is very average. I think the experience is worth it though. Definitely great service, cute outdoor patio with plenty of seating (although sometimes it can feel a little packed). Last time I was here it was a party of three and we were all crammed into a very tiny table and our neighbors were very, very close by. That being said, don't come here if you're expecting privacy. An overall cute/casual place to grab a drink, but I would skip on the food and grab a bite to eat elsewhere. read more

From the get go Laurel Hardware gave me a bad vibe. When we checked in we were looked up and down by a hostess who gave us a sour look, and then proceeded to tell us that we have a reservation outside. It was kinda cold outside & she offered to look for a spot inside instead so we took her up in her offer. Less than a minute later we arrived at a sad ass excuse for a table that was low to the ground . This looked like it would be very uncomfortable to sit around so we kindly asked the other host if he could check if our previous outdoor table was open. He reluctantly returned to the hostess and never came back. Instead a blonde is waitress very rudely and pretentiously explained "well I don't know what you want, we tried and it's just not going to happen." Okay whatever , so we sit down and order our food and drinks with some more pretentiousness from our waitress but we ignore this. Meanwhile we look outside to see three open tables, including the one that we had initially reserved , sitting empty. We get out food and drink ...and ask about the empty tables only to be told "we already sat our first round of reservations and all the tables are full." We ignore the blatant lie and eat our food. The truffle fries and wings were good, but the chicken sliders and spaghetti were pretty average at best. I also had a "gangster" cocktail which seemed to be VERY light on the vodka. I was told by my friends that the burger & grain bowl were pretty good. But nothing was quite worth the price. To add insult to injury I looked outside after our meal and several tables were STILL empty . And the only one that had been filled was from a party of "hot white 20 somethings" that asked to change spots waaayyyy after "all the tables had been filled up". Honestly I think we were profiled on the way in and treated poorly from that moment on by the waitstaff . In conclusion food is decent (but expensive), waitstaff was rude , and drinks were weak. Idk if it's because it was a Saturday night and it's busy but my food was not up to par. My friend and I ordered the same dish and it came out barely hot. The waitress sent it back and had them make it again just for it to come out lukewarm again. I ordered carbonara pasta so if it's not hot it doesn't taste good. Amazing place inside. Love the name and ambiance of this place. Their lollipop sprouts dish is highly recommended and so delicious. Been digging all of the themed speakeasies in Hollywood that have sprung up in the Pst few years. This place could have been one of the good ones but they get too many basic things wrong. We Waited an hour and 15 (were quoted 45 min) only to get a tiny spot on a couch with an itty bitty coffee table. Ordered a burger and the ribs which turned out to be impractical because the table was so far from us and below us. The burger was sopping wet and gross the ribs were fine. The drinks were fine but overpriced. Also there was no place to like stand or move around it's very sedentary the way it's laid out which is a shame because it is a nice looking space. Won't come back. The beautifully appointed mescal bar waiting room was the highlight, and basically all that's sparring this place a 1 star review. There are better options in the area like Bar Lubitsh or Now Boarding. read more
