Small dining area, bar seating on other side. Outdoor seating available too.
    Average J.

Mediocre at best. Older waitress with glasses was clueless, inattentive, and slow. Tried multiple times to get her attention for coffee refill, but she looked down and ignored all tables as she walked past them. I even had to get my own syrup of the the center counter divider (Should just leave them on the table- it is breakfast time). After bringing our food out and forgetting a plate each time, she never came back to check on us until she brought the bill. Now let's talk food: Pancakes were actually pretty good and thick - it ends there. Both of us ordered shredded hash browns and it looked like they split one serving to make two; barely browned and flatter than my eggs. Speaking of eggs, I ordered over medium - they came out way overcooked with no runny yolk. I could see three people in the kitchen, one bearded guy looked clueless every time his face was in the pickup window. It was a Sunday morning, but it was not busy.

Grilled chicken meal with corn, mashed potatoes, and garden salad.

My first time trying Lauren's. I ordered with Grub Hub and had it delivered to Bristol. Arrived hot and the food is very flavorful. Grilled chicken meal with corn, mashed potatoes, and a garden salad. Even the fountain coke arrived in good shape. I will be ordering from here again!

    Pretty disappointing breakfast

This place is pretty average at best. My French toast was just wet bread with the syrup giving it the only flavor it had. Eggs were way over cooked and the shredded potatoes were just frozen shedded potato placed on a flattop for a few minutes with zero seasoning. Just your average diner type food, nothing special here at all. 1 star for the food. Bumped it to 2 stars because our server was very nice and it's nice inside.

    Cleaned the plates.

The salad and the croquettes on a bed of beans so flavorful but to my absolute astonishment the dessert I could not believe they had il Monte Bianco, typical of my northern Italy region, a cream of chestnuts with merengue and whipped cream, Subtle flavours and not too sweet. The menu isn't overly extensive but we all found dishes that appealed to us. My wife and I shared the Napa Caesar salad - very tasty and unique. I had the White Lamb Ragu with home-made papperdelle (fabulous, rich, flavorful). Wife had the Artichoke Fettuccini with cured egg and she loved it. I started with the Instant Crush, an upgrade from a traditional margarita. She had the orange wine which was bright, not overly sweet and surprisingly refreshing. Service was spot on. Ambiance was lively (small place with as many tables as could comfortably be set). Parking is easy. We'll be back!

Probably because every time I walk…read morethrough that door I'm so in the moment that the last thing on my mind is picking up my phone to write about it, which is a good problem to have. Metacom Kitchen is a cozy, intimate bistro, and if you haven't been, you're missing out. The atmosphere pulls you in immediately; warm, unhurried, with just the right amount of low lighting. Behind the bar you'll find a handsome Parisian bartender crafting some of the most thoughtful cocktails around. On this particular visit, that meant an extra dirty gin martini and a chai old fashioned. Both were perfect. My partner and I love to graze, rather than commit to one big entrée, when we can. My partner's family calls it bits and bobs, and that is what we did on this particular visit. We ordered the Duck Plate featuring duck three ways, some picked veggies, a fruit mustard, and grilled focaccia crostini. The Candy Beets & Salsify, which featured jewel-toned beet cubes scattered across what can only be described as a snow of barrel aged feta, roasted salsify (I had to look these up and apparently, they are somewhere between a parsnip and a carrot with an almost oyster like flavor when cooked), topped with some fresh green herbs. The dish was so pretty I almost didn't want to eat it. The Chickpea Fries are exactly what they sound like, and are somehow so much more; golden, crispy little logs served with an A1 aioli that you will not stop eating. The Coriander & Sea Salt Chicken Wings rounded things out; a pile of beautifully seasoned wings with caramelized onions and thyme, paired with a spicy buttermilk dipping sauce that had just the right amount of heat. Everything was absolutely delicious, which is honestly an understatement. We never save room for dessert and that was the plan this time too, until someone nearby ordered a crème brûlée and my partner's head spun around. That's her kryptonite. The version that night had Kahlua in it, which is usually not our thing; but the torched top was a beautiful lacquered brown, the custard underneath was silky, and wow, we were scraping the ramekin. Chef Allaire really knows his stuff. He creates small, decadent bites with ingredients you'd never think to pair, and somehow it all makes perfect sense on the plate. If you're feeling adventurous, make a reservation for Mystery Monday, where a three-course dinner is crafted for you on the spot. Pescatarians and other dietary preferences are accommodated if you let them know ahead of time. It fills up fast, so plan accordingly. If you prefer to order off the regular menu, that's available Monday too, and every other night. Either way, do yourself a favor and get here.

Burnt stale toast, gross scrambled eggs (I can't even figure out what could've gone wrong there), old dry sausage, grilled English muffin that tasted like a dirty griddle, chourico hash was dry and burnt, the pancake was tasteless...overall very disappointing experience. Found this place from Yelp and looked promising and was close by to Riverside so said let's give it a go! First of all I drove by it the first time. I turned around and then found it. Ok, That's on me lol. I took some pictures of the outside area and signage and headed in. There was a waitress helping out some customers so I waited for her to finish but she politely said to me to grab a seat any where. I waited for maybe 4 minutes and the same polite waitress came over and gave me a menu and some nice spotless utensils and asked if I wanted some coffee. I said no thanks I'll just take an ice water. I started looking at the menu and it was small which in my mind that's a great thing! But wait.... Um.... (If you all know me I am a sucker for a good eggs Benedict), but where is it? I searched both sides of th menu again and nothing. So now I'm like maybe they can make one?... The waitress comes back and asks for my order. I asked her if they could make an eggs Benedict and she said sure. I went over with her on how its made but asked if I could swap out the ham for Portuguese blade meat and she was like sure no problem but just to let you know everything is cooked to order so it might be a bit which I said no worries at all. I also ordered a side of crispy bacon. I waited like 8 minutes and here arrives the super piping hot food. Lets review! Eggs benny-, What happened to the Hollandaise sauce? It was like water. I started to get sad but I was like let's review the rest of it first. The eggs were poached nice( getting close to over but he caught it in time). The blade meat was flavored ok but was like boneless pork chops not the typical shreded blade meat ands kind of on the dry side. The lettuce and tomato on the side, um, It just seemed it was plate filler. The home fries- They were pretty good, The flavoring was there but I just wish they were crispy on the outside a bit. The side of bacon- I asked for crispy bacon and I got perfect crispy bacon which made the meal. Overall this is a nice small neighborhood breakfast place. It's only been open since 2023. It has awesome family vibes and I will be back to try something on the menu next time.

We ordered the mini stuffies, the hummus plate, and the fried pickles. The mini stuffies were a highlight. Loaded with Mello's chouriço and packed with flavor, they're a solid little bite. My grandfather set the bar pretty high for me on stuffies, and these came close. They have a different profile than what I grew up with; a little less bready, more chouriço forward, and the clam flavor takes a back seat. Not necessarily a complaint, they were just different from what I'm used to and were genuinely tasty. The lemon aioli on top was also a nice touch. The fried pickles were exactly what you want them to be. Crispy, well fried, and the breading actually stayed put while you ate them, which is more than I can say for a lot of fried pickles. They came with the same lemon aioli as the stuffies, which worked just as well here. The hummus plate was a bit of a letdown. We've had it many times before and it used to be a standout. This time the hummus itself was thick and pretty flavorless, more like a dense chickpea paste than anything else. The accompaniments were nice though and consisted of heirloom carrots, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, pickled cauliflower, carrot, and a pepperoncini, all served alongside some buttery round crackers that were like a Ritz cracker's more refined cousin. The veggies saved the plate, but the hummus needs to find its way back. I suppose it could have just been an off batch and won't prevent us from trying it again. Cocktails were great, as usual. I had the Anana with scotch. I love pineapple and this has muddled pineapple and basil, pineapple juice, cracked black pepper. It's my go-to here and it delivered again. My partner went adventurous and ordered the Jungle Booby, which is built around tequila blanco and mezcal with campari, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, orgeat, and an absinthe spritz. The flavors were genuinely good, but the smokiness from the mezcal was a bit much for her taste. She followed it up with a glass of rosé and had no complaints after that. The cocktail wasn't the problem, it just wasn't her style. One of our favorite spots in Warren for a quick nibble, for a good reason.
