I love Jenny (for my manicures) and Tammy (for my pedicures) They always do a great job. Tammy works wonders for my ingrown toenail's.

Lavender Nails seems to be the new salon on the block and just opened about a month ago. Made an appointment for a dipped nail mani and regular pedicure. It was nice they offered some water/tea/coffee/mimosa. I wanted to try the dipped nail mani since I've been wanting to give this new method a try. Unfortunately the end result was a bit underwhelming. I feel like gel manicures offer a shinier and fresher look compared to the dip nails. There's just too many awkward lines, bumps and is opaque at some areas of your nails with the dipping method. I was also a little disappointed with the cost associated with a mediocre experience. My frustration was when Nancy used the dremel to take my gel polish off and ended up drawing a bit of blood with the constant swipes against the raw skin with her filer/buffet. Jenny did a great job on my pedicure. It was a simple and easy experience and my toes look and feel great. Overall, pricing is a bit high for the dipped nails ($45) and they also charge you $5 if you get your nails shaped a certain way? They waived the charges since she didn't tell me at the time of my request but I've never been to a place that charges me for a nail shaping fee. There is a 30% off promotion right now so if you want to give it a try then take a dip yourself. The dipped nails just didn't work for me so I most likely won't get that again. read more

So glad I decided to give this new nail salon a try! They've been open for about two weeks and are located in the Petco shopping center on Branham Ln. I went in early Saturday morning and found it not very busy, which was nice. They get busier in the afternoon so if you don't like crowded salons and waiting then get there early. The owner was very sweet and offered me something to drink: coffee, tea or a mimosa. Jenny did my gel manicure and she did a great job. I'm very pleased with nails and will definitely return. I was so worried moving over to the Bay Area and not finding a place that does SNS dip powder nails! This place is everything that I have been looking for and more! I truly love how classy and professional this salon is. They take all type of payments even checks, which is so nice of them. I saw that my nail tech pulled out fresh new tools to use on me and it made me feel safe & secure about trying this new place. They have redeemed themselves, they really try hard to impress and make things right, so I am happy with this place, been there now around 4 times and will continue to go. Kelly I believe is the owner, she is so good at what she does, and really professional and takes the time to ensure the job is done perfectly. You do need to not be in a rush when you come here, because it does that time but that is a good thing, attention to detail is there, unlike other places that may be cheaper, but rush you and overbook and feel's like a fish market. I don't normally do reviews good or bad but I feel compelled to give one for this company. My friend recommended them to me and I have to say that Kim was great when she is around. The problem the last few times is that I have showed up for my appointment to find out that Kim hasn't come in and no one has bothered to inform me. The owner makes excuses but that's not good enough. If it had happed once then I'd understand. I don't have a problem if someone would just call and inform me. Tried multiple nail techs and my favorite has been kim and unfortunately shes not their anymore so i tried their new tech tammy and the results are not nearly as close as I ever had. Nails lift less than a week old and dont last more than 10 days. Also the time wait lately have been an hr even with appointment because they always double book. I walked in and was able to get a dip manicure right away. I've had very mixed results with dip at other places but they knew what they were doing here and I got an excellent manicure. We stopped here becUyour usually place was fully booked and this place could take us in on short notice. My daughter got a gel manicure- it started chipping within 2 days! We were on a trip out of town and so we couldn't go back to have it fixed right away. I had my acrylic filled and the technician was quite nice - that being said - within a week it started peeling off my nails at the bottom. I do not believe that it was applied properly. Holly is my go-to girl for a dip powder set and she is super meticulous about the shape, thickness, and overall quality of the manicure. This is the first salon where my sets last a full 3+ weeks without any kind of breakage or chipping, and my natural nails look amazing. I love this place. I haven't found to many places in San Jose that do dip nails. This place is awesome and does a wonderful job. Kim and Kelly are awesome my favorites for dip nails. I really wanted to like this place, and say I've found a new establishment. I recently moved to the Southside in April. My other nail salon is in Palo Alto... who got time for that traffic? Not, I. I digress... I met Kelly. She was cool, easy to talk to you, from Texas and apparently recently opened this place up 4 months ago. I thought, great, we're both new, we can be good to each other as I help her business, she takes care of 1 of my most treasured assets, my nails. The first time I ever tried sns powder was with her. My nails were strong, and it lasted really long. The second time however, 1 nail chipped nearly one day later, which of course, I wasn't happy about. I called Kelly, and she asked me to come in, and she'd fix it. Unfortunately, going to the nail salon to have them fix a mistake is just not something I can just fit in my schedule. I put 2 hours time in my schedule twice a month for nail visits, that's it! I dealt with a f$$!!$$ chipped nail for 2 1/2 weeks. BS! I then went in Saturday, and she explained my nail being too weak. whatever, I let it go and we carried tf on to a new style of powder. Going for a fall "mood" color. Yo straight up, my nails 2 days later look like I've had this powder on for more than a week. Bubbly, scratched just unacceptable! She asked me to "come in and she'll redo" WTF? They actually think I got time to come back for an hour so she can fix her in attention to detail! I'm pissed. She's wasted my time and my money! This sucks to write, but you don't treat customers who show dedication, kindness, and tip you right like that. I'm going for my money back, and will choose not to show face again. I walked in with a simple idea. The lady couldn't give me a simple nail set. I wanted chrome, they made me believe that they had the color. I chose a similar pink and the chrome had no correlation to the photo. When asking for chrome it should enhance your regular color, not change it. She didn't give me coffin shape, it looks like a BUBBLE. I am furious because she did NOTHING I had asked for. She also left acrylic powder that dried up on my fingers, as well as made my nail crooked. On top of all of this negativity, she charged me $45 for a pink full set. no extra designs on my nails. NEVER going back here. I left super unhappy and she didn't want to fix it whatsoever. read more

Kelly and her staff are amazing! Due to covid the salon has taken extra safety measures that make you feel safe before getting any service done. They offer a QR scan code to load images of their colors so people do not touch polish or gel/dip samples. Besides the safety they do amazing nails that last weeks!! I have never had an issue with the dip and can get it to last 3+ weeks. Everyone is super friendly too and if theres every an issue with your nail Kelly will handle the situation and make sure you're taken care of! read more

It makes me sad to leave this comment. I have been a few times and thought I foubd my new favorite salon. Holly did mine the first two times and they were awesome, then she was on vacation or off when I would go in and Kelly did mine.The atmosphere is very relaxing and clean, they offer drinks and for that I am sad to not get the seevice to match. Last time kelly did my nails she told me, "if there is ever a problem or break come back and Ill fix it for you." I do the SNS dip powder and on that visit, the sides of my nails didnt have powder and were peeling. The goal was for me to grow my nails out and not use tips. When I didnt like that they were thin and bendable with the powder and two days later were breaking on the sides, I went back to see her. I was scolded at for many times and told I "lifted" the sides. She was very insistent that I did this. I tried to explain the powder was barely there and therefore it gets stuck when doing my hair or lifts but she insisted it was me...I even tipped 5 dollars for fixing them. It was highly embarrassing in front of the staff and guests but I sucked it up. I went in this Saturday for Holly and she was not there. I needed them done so I hoped for the best and of course gave another chance. Its been 3 days. One has broke, the sides have peeled and when she said "cut down" she cut off all the length I had grown in that 5 weeks. I was too nervous to say anything because of the drama she made previously. Now, the nails are in awful condition with the powder breaking off. I have had to file my own nails and try and see if For $50 I can make it a week. I recommend Holly but sadly wont be returning after this second time. read more
