Half Pepperoni

As a 9.3 from Dave Portnoy, my boyfriend and I were very excited to try this pizza. We got half of a pepperoni pizza to try between meals and I thought it was DELICIOUS! The quality of meat and way they cut it into strips for the pepperoni were top tier. The sauce is on the sweeter side which was the only thing that I didn't prefer, but it was still an incredibly delicious pizza!

I am not a pizza fan BUT, this was great. We did a half seafood and half hot pepperoni. Service was great. Casual atmosphere. Really recommend if in Manhattan.

A little birdie told us that this is Steven Colberts favorite spot ... One of our travel buds was determined to have a meal here and we decided to tag along. Vibe is super cool You enter at street level and walk up stairs to second level Small spot with the smell of pizza wafting out. Pizzas are deep dish I guess and square. We ordered 2 diff pizzas and shared. Both were super good! One was a lasagna pizza and the other was called the Alorna (sausage bell pepper mushroom) Recommendation was a hit

A re-review is in order because I've now become an expert at all things Lazzara's. I've taken several friends and colleagues here and they've all gone crazy over the very unique and jaw droppingly delicious pizza. Now they have a special pizza that they're up selling and for a good reason, hot honey pepperoni pizza and the buffalo calamari. Both items to die for and very unique. The place is very old school Italian and even though it's in a tourist area, the place is so covert that you'll mainly find locals here. My friend from Rome said the pizza and penne ala vodka are to die for. The salads are huge! The portions are big. Great prices. Staff is awesome.

It's giving hole in the wall in the best way - head upstairs for old school vibes and truly delicious pizzas. Our server was great and created a great dining environment - we could've sat there for hours enjoying the pizza, wine, and good company. Can't wait to go back and try more pies!

I'm surprised to see the low rating - I really liked this place! The sauce was like nothing I've had before - tangy and delicious. The thin crust is great - perfect sauce to crust ratio. We got a couple of pizzas - chicken Florentine and buffalo chicken and another with half vodka sauce and half jalapeños. All really good and the drinks were delicious too! We had told our sever that we just got married and he brought out some cannolis which was so nice

Amazing pizza with smooth rythmes and tunes in the back round for a nice ambiance. Just has all around good vibes. Our waiter was so kind and understanding. He also talked and had conversations with us.

Pizza was pretty good. Unique size, very thin, crunchy crust. The sauce was a little too sweet and the prices a bit high for the size. It was easy to walk in on a Saturday night. Service was friendly and eager.

Aperol Spritz

Was in NYC for a business and my fiancé recommended I try this place because Dave Portnoy rated it well. From the outside, it looked a little sketchy -- but don't let that fool you. As soon as I stepped inside, the vibe completely changed. I waited maybe five minutes to be seated, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I ordered a pepperoni pizza (delicious), the calamari (crispy and flavorful), and an Aperol Spritz (solid). Everything hit the spot. The space is pretty small, so if you're coming with a larger group, just be prepared to wait a bit. But it's worth it -- I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the city.

Such an amazing experience. Our waiter guy was so helpful so nice. The food was also so good. The wait wasn't bad and we got seated right away. The music and decorations were awesome.

Even if we wouldn't have gotten a window table and it wasn't Christmas, the vibes and interior of this place would have still been great. We went in December night of 2024 so some aspects of the menu have changed however, most of the dishes still appear to be on their menu as of now, June 2026. It appears most changes comes to the type of pasta used in a dish, aspects around a dishes main focus and gelato/dessert flavors. Everything we ordered was an 8 or above out of 10. The beet salad (BARBABIETOLE) is easily 10/10 and a top 3 salad we have ever had. The chocolate cake with gelato (TORTINO DI CIOCCOLATO) was 10/10 and the best dessert we had at Da Andrea. We ordered 3 total, including the ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu. Tuna Tartare, gorgonzola pasta and bolognese are 9's. The fritto misto, the other pasta we ordered and the other 2 desserts are 8's. If you're in New York make reservations and go. My Wife found this place and made reservations. Only thing I regret after looking at additional photos is not ordering the grilled pork chop.

The pasta was al dente perfection and most importantly there were generous sauce portions. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and personable. I dined with a friend and we ordered 3 pastas instead of an appetizer (fantastic choice). We tried the following dishes: *Garganelli Mushroom Ragu and Ricotta Salata. This was by far our favorite dish. It was bursting with flavor, had tons of sauce and cheese and was perfectly cooked. If you enjoy mushroom you MUST order this!! *Tagliatelle Bolognese Bianco (Chicken, Veal, Pork) and Parmigiano. Which was so delicious and has plenty of meat and sauce. The tagliatelle was amazing and tasted to fresh. *Bucatini with Pancetta, Tomato, Chilies and Pecorino. We thought this was good but our least favorite dish of the 3. Honorable mention to the spaghetti that my friend had at her last visit. She said it was fresh and delicious but almost too rich which she mostly owned to it being a white sauce.

We started with the housemade focaccia and Wagyu carpaccio--both were outstanding, with the perfect balance of crispy, flavorful, and fresh elements. My partner and I shared the pasta, hangar steak, and potatoes, which turned out to be the ideal amount for two. We finished with the famous olive oil cake, which we loved for its subtly sweet, moist and tender bite. Served with lightly whipped cream and raisins, the combination was surprisingly delicious. We were also touched by the complimentary anniversary scoop of ice cream. The interior seating is a bit snug, but the decor is beautiful--elegant yet homey. The service was good as well. Overall, we highly recommend L'Artusi for a special night out!

Water and excellent bread arrived immediately and the waiter was helpful describing dishes and giving advice. Salads were fresh and crisp. Caesar was nicely dressed and the mixed salad was a nice combination with well balanced herb vinaigrette. Seafood dishes had large amounts of fresh seafood and the veal picatta had the lemony flavor you expect without excessive acidity. Dessert was tasty and innovative. The ricotta based cheese cake wasn't as smooth as the cream cheese form but the citrus flavor was great. Throughout the meal water and bread were refilled, plates from completed courses removed and next delivered without being overly hovering. All in all a really great meal.

I read the reviews mostly good so I was hoping for the best. My friends and I were not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was there were 7 people in my party and 4 arrived early and did not have to wait for my arrival to be seated. Second the waiter who took our order was polite and on point with specials and knowledge of the menu. He (just never caught his name) suggested the Rigatoni which chicken and sausage. I am not really a pasta eater but baby that dish could change that; it was DELICIOUS. I even liked the anchovy dressing on my Caesar Salad and I dislike anchovies. All the dishes ordered (chicken parm, mussels chicken paillard etc.) everyone enjoyed them immensely. The only negative was when the Chicken Paiikard arrived it was supposed to a shared dish by the elderly couple and they asked for regular dinner plates from one of the servers. It took the gentleman who took our order to step in and said sure, lucky their food was still hot. Common Sense is not so common for all. But this will not lower my rating as it was taken care of swiftly. The portions were the perfect size and I was not stuffed but pleasantly satified. We told them the time of our show, food was out quickly, nicely presented, still hot and very tasty. The restaurant was not noisy and had space between the tables. It also had an elevator for those who could not manage stairs. Trattoria Trecolori you will be added to my must go again list! Thank for a wonderful experience!
