My boyfriend and I were two days away from flying out for a long vacation when suddenly we noticed our toilet's fill valve was leaking water. This caused our toilet to consistently run and we were nervous because we knew it was going to run up our water bill while we were away. Luckily, Leo at LC Doctor Plumber responded to my request very quickly and was able to come check out the issue on the same day I put in the request!! He and his partner, Enrique, showed up a little later than expected but they were very good at keeping me informed on their ETA (plus its LA, everyone is always a little late) so I did not mind. They also wore little booties when entering my home which I also really appreciated because we are a no-shoes-in-the-house household. Once they arrived, they were able to fix my toilet's fill valve issue within just a few minutes! They replaced the entire system- tested it to make sure it worked- and everything was good to go!.... or so we thought... A few minutes after they left, I went back to the bathroom and still heard a leak coming from the toilet and also noticed that the water level inside of the tank was dropping and refilling within every 2-3 minutes. I immediately gave Leo a call to let him know the issue sadly wasn't fixed and assumed he would have to come back the following day... but instead, he made the effort to circle back to me later that night once he was done with his other jobs!!! And of course, when they came back, they were able to fix this new issue within a matter of minutes (this second issue was trickier and was actually caused by the builders of our house). TL;DR: I've done the research and called several plumbers, if you're looking for a fair and trustworthy team, Leo and his crew are the best ones I found. I recently bought a house, and the whole plumbing system was a mess (massive leaks, corroded pipes, and work not up to code). Leo installed a tankless water heater at my rental unit which required a condensation pipe. He installed the pipe in a location which maximizes the visibility of the white PVC pipe both above and below the balcony. The pipe goes through the existing drainage hole in the balcony which has clogged the drain. I was not present when the pipe was installed, Leo claims my elderly father approved the location. He should have suggested drilling a hole in the back of the balcony in the first place and running the condensation line down in a less conspicuous location. Had my main sewer line backed up on a weekend. LC Doctor Plumbing responded, cleared the line and ran camera to determine the cause. Video shows tree roots on every 4ft clay pipe run to the street. They advised to replace the line or this blockage is going to happen again. Leo explained to me the new technology of doing trenchless pipelining. The technology cuts the repair time in half or more. He checked my main line under the crawlspace and found the dirt wet, suspecting the line under the house also compromised since they were cast iron pipe (house built in 1952). I also had him put a pressure regulator on my main line since my water pressure is very high. His crew including his son (forgot his name) were very polite. I found Leo while searching for a plumber in the area who could assist with a water heater and sewer line camera inspection. Among all the plumbers I contacted on Yelp, Leo was the most responsive and easiest to communicate with. He came out and provided a free estimate for the work I needed, based on some issues identified by a home inspector. While discussing the problems, he took his time and politely shared his perspective on the complexity and necessity of the work we were requesting. The primary task we wanted was the reinstallation of our water heater. The previous plumber who installed it had done a sloppy and minimalist job. Leo explained why it might have been installed that way and that some parts weren't even necessary. However, he offered us a fair price to do the work, along with inspecting our sewer lines to assess the remaining work. He was highly flexible in coordinating dates and times and was always punctual for appointments. I am glad I found LC Doctor Plumber here on Yelp. I had an overflow pipe coming out of my tankless water heater which was deteriorating. Leo from LC Doctor Plumber came out and told me it was because the condensation from the tankless is acidic. I had never heard such a thing, but I double checked it -- and he was right! Leo installed a neutralizer which neutralizes the acid and makes it compatible with my pipes. The price was reasonable, and he exceeded my expectations (he installed a bypass pipe in case the neutralizer gets clogged and an indicator to tell me if it does).
