Excellent General Tso's Chicken (though I can't remember whether that's the spelling they use...there seems to be a historical debate about how this general spelled his name) and the pork dumplings are some of the best around. The portions are very generous and online ordering is straightforward, with efficient and friendly pick-up. The General's Tso's sauce is a touch too sweet for my taste, but that is a minor point. Also, it comes with white rice. I didn't see an option for a dinner combination with an egg roll/fried rice, though I may have missed something. Food is excellent. Customer service terrible First couldn't get an answer over the phone since the person could not understand english and just kept repeating the same thing. I had a simple request too mix the 4 egg foo young patties into 2 different kinds. Offered to pay upcharge but was ultimately not understood and was refused the change. Mind you it was late afternoon and not a soul in the place so they weren't too busy to accommodate. l will not go back! We ordered takeout from LC's Asian Kitchen on a chilly Sunday afternoon during a kitchen remodel. We are returning to the metro-Detroit area and are in search of new go-to restaurants.. LC's did not disappoint! First I'll start with their COVID precautions, which are impressive. They've built a wall from plastic sheeting in the dining room to separate guests from employees and have a small window through which they will pass your food. Of all the restaurants I've visited during the pandemic, LC's has the best contact-prevention measures I've seen. The food was delicious and is ultimately what will keep us coming back. Our food was hot and fresh and stayed warm during the short drive home. We ordered the sesame chicken and General's chicken, both in the dinner combination option. The dinner combination includes fried rice and and an egg roll. The chicken was all white meat, fried to crispy perfection. The fried rice wasn't the best I've ever had, but included plenty of egg. I don't think I would separately order fried rice here, but it was tasty enough as part of the combo. The egg roll was very good. Crunchy and filled with shrimp and veggies. One of the better eggrolls I've enjoyed. The prices are on the higher side at LC's, but the portions are generous. Both my spouse and I had plenty left in our plates for a second meal. If you're looking for a new favorite Chinese restaurant, you won't be disappointed with LC's. read more

Eight times out of ten they always get my order perfect. You get a great deal for the price and we all know that certain Cantonese dishes are not the healthiest but they do offer other dishes and they make them very well. Not many can't knees restaurants can make really good Thai food but their Thai food is as good as most of the Thai restaurants I've been to and I've been to many. We are vegetarian and they do have a lot of decent vegetarian dishes. Only one time they really messed up my order but they made up for it and a really appreciated that considering they are very busy and things happen. From working in restaurants I understand the stress that happens and especially now that everything is carry out not only do they have to deal with people flooding the inside of the restaurant- While they try to tell people to wait outside but you can't blame that on them some people just don't give a crap. Plus, there are four different delivery services that are also dying to get their food so I give them props for still making very good food during this pandemic and I hope that they continue after all the pandemic issues slow down. Probably my favorite Chinese in the area! The spicy orange beef is amazing! It's not spicy hot but full of flavor. The LC chicken is fantastic as well. They are quick with your carry out and the prices are comparable to other asian in the area. Not super crazy about their eggrolls but they are acceptable. Would love it if they had a brown rice option but everything is so good, not going to skip going there because of that. Definitely worth checking out. read more

First time here based on the large number of good reviews and we have an evening function a couple of miles away. We came in at 4:30pm and it wasn't that busy so we were seated immediately. We decided to split an order of Shrimp & Broccoli that came with a soup and rice. We also ordered Pan Fried Dumplings as an appetizer. We added an extra soup, Wonton, so we each had our own. And we ordered water with lemon to drink; the water had no taste that needed to be covered up by the lemon unlike some places. The soup came out almost immediately and it was delicious; two large Wontons and some strips of greens in each bowl! It was a perfect accompaniment and didn't affect our appetites for the Dumplings and the main course. Speaking of which, the Dumplings came out just after we finished the soup. They were presented on a bed of chopped lettuce, which we also ate...hey, free salad! The dumplings were meaty and tasty and some of the better ones we have had in Chinese restaurants. Finally, the main course of Shrimp & Broccoli was brought out. It was served fresh and hot, but not spicy hot. The flavor of the sauce worked well with the shrimp, broccoli, and other veggies. We polished off everything and we were both full. What especially impressed us was that nothing was too salty as is the problem with many Chinese restaurants. And service was prompt and friendly as well. We may have found a new regular place to satisfy our taste for Chinese cuisine. read more

I was searching for a Chinese restaurant while I was in the area and came across LC's! So glad my boyfriend decided to stop! The hours on the window are not the same as on Yelp but that didn't matter since they were indeed open! My boyfriend and I were greeted immediately. The parking lot was bare. While my boyfriend ordered the general chicken. Wonton soup was excellent! Two large wontons. Soup was a little spicy and you could definitely taste the pepper but it certainly wasn't flavorless and bland. Egg roll was freshly fried and stuffed full. Definitely not dry and hard. I didn't break any teeth enjoying my egg roll. Crispy on the outside. My boyfriend, who doesn't like egg rolls- next to ever- loved LC's egg rolls! Portions are huge! Definitely large enough for at least two meals. All the chicken was freshly made and you could definitely tell. I know the way old oil and fresh oil taste and LC's definitely takes pride in their food and changes the oil frequently. General Chicken says spicy on the menu but there wasn't much of a kick, which worked out for me because I'm not too big on spicy things. Staff was wonderful. Very friendly and personable. Family own. Definitely worth the drive next time I go. There's not many Chinese restaurants in Metro Detroit that I fully enjoy and I'm glad LC's Asian Kitchen is ranked on top of the list. We've been coming here since during Covid and it's been great. Except this last time on Saturday we were craving good Chinese. Ordered Mongolian beef, Thai curry noodles and teriyaki chicken. It was all fresh ingredients however it wasn't good. This is why the 2 star. It was literally like soup, instead of a sauce. The noodles were over cooked, and both the other dishes it was like soup with not cut up veggies. Not good at all, very disappointing and now need to find a new Chinese restaurant. read more

I wanted to like this place so bad. The staff were so friendly and the place was packed. We may have just ordered the wrong things so we will be back. We ordered the LC chicken which said spicy and the orange beef which also was supposed to be spicy. Neither had any spice unfortunately and they were so sweet it was hard to eat more than a couple pieces. Other than the sauce the beef was very tender and the chicken was also very well cooked. We did get the sweet and sour soup which was amazing and the tea was also very good. First time here - Went for lunch on a Tuesday and got Orange Chicken with a spring roll, white rice, and hot and sour soup. Everything was delicious! Fresh and flavorful. Overheard a gentleman telling the owner saying he used to come here until 5 years ago when he moved to San Francisco. We ordered the orange chicken chicken, General Tso's Chicken, sweet and sour chicken and Szechuan shrimp. Every plate was so tasty and full of flavor! The portions were so large that two people could have shared one plate. The fried rice and soup that came with the meals were also so flavorful! The restaurant was clean and the ambiance was inviting. The service was fast and friendly and our waitress was very attentive. We visited LC's for dine-in lunch. We noticed a conspicuously posted sign: No refunds or exchanges if unhappy with food. Undeterred -- we assumed it was to prevent folks from finding an excuse not to pay. FYI: Lunch combinations may or may not be available depending on the day of the week. Our dishes came with excellent Wonton soup. We also ordered good dumplings. But the entrees were really bad. The "almond chicken" amazingly came without almonds -- let alone scallions or shredded lettuce. It was pounded chicken cutlets served with a thick Brown sauce. Period. The duck was not crispy and rather greasy with very little edible meat. The waitress apologized for the chicken dish and claimed that too many folks are allergic to nuts. Hmm -- then why would they order almond chicken and why not tell them what's in store? Service was pleasant and the tea was fragrant. Waitress said we would be sure to get what we wanted -- just ask next time. I doubt there will be a next time. read more

I dined in for dinner and the food was better this time. The food was served timely however the owner was rude and confrontational. She commented that not all Chinese people don't speak English. She went on ranting about how hard it is to raise kids while working (small violin). We all have and make choices in life. Thank goodness the food was so tasty that I didn't let this insane conflict ruin my meal. The manager should be ashamed of herself for treating a loyal customer this way. I did not feel welcomed or respected as a patron. In the meantime. I am still looking for a replacement to LC's. read more

Ever since I moved to this side of town, LCs has become my go-to spot for Chinese food. Their prices are incredibly reasonable, and the portions are enormous! I can usually get three servings out of an entree order. The Moo Shu with chicken and egg drop soup is my standard. The chicken they use in all their dishes is always high quality and tender. My roommate is a big fan of their combination dinners, which offer a wide variety (even though he always gets General Tso Chicken). I've brought family here a few times to dine in, and the staff is excellent (their daughter is adorable). My parents will often drive 10 miles just to order a carryout meal. I'm thrilled to see they're back open after initially being closed from the current situation. I'll be back sometime this week! read more
