Earlier this month, I was driving my 2012 Honda Civic sedan on the freeway when a pebble flew off the load of a truck hauling a massive load of gravel. The high-speed pebble left a crack on the passenger side of my windshield that wasn't too large, but definitely too large to fix. I initially found out about Le Auto Glass through satisfied Redditors who recommended them for replacing windshields in the East Bay Area. I called around a few places and got these prices: Le Auto Glass - 245 Replacement Auto Glass - 285 101 Auto Glass - 325 When I called Le Auto Glass, the person on the phone was very polite and told me that I could come in immediately and get my windshield replaced. When I arrived, I gave the gentlemen who work there my keys and was told that my car would be ready in an hour. I went for a walk, and when I came back an hour later my car was ready to go. The price I paid was the price I was quoted over the phone: $245. Even better, the windshield was OEM spec, manufactured by PGW. My previous windshield was aftermarket, but I bought the car used. After my window got smashed at Jack London Square, I called 5-6 different places and Le's gave me the best quote by nearly $100. The owner, Trang, took down all of my information and told me a replacement window for my Volkswagen will have to be ordered from the dealership. Fine. To compensate, she said I could bring in my car to get all the glass cleaned out and to put on a temporary cover for free. After 2-3 business days, the replacement glass arrived. I took my car back and was out with a new window in 30-minutes! Trang stayed true to the quote and treated my car with care. Thank you! Tips: - Ask if you could order a "used" window. Trang quoted me $270 for a new window and $170 for a used one. A window is a window, right? - They don't really take appointments because they work so quickly, but be sure to set aside an hour or so total just to be safe. - It's a family business. Replaced a front windshield on my car at 8:30 am on a Wednesday and was out by 9:45 am. By the time I left they had a line of cars to be worked on. It's best to go right when they open. Prices are comparable to other auto glass places but these guys are fast and reliable. They give you a set price with parts, labor and tax so you don't have to worry about being baited/switched. If they don't have the window in stock, they will get it usually fairly quickly and you can wait for it or come back later. The waiting area isn't anything nice just some chairs and a table plus it's outside. read more

My windshield a huge spider web crack from the middle to every edge. I needed a repair within days. I searched this place up on yelp, I'm really glad I did. Looks can be deceiving, The place isn't the newest place nor is it a garage. They do their work outdoors under a cover. But the customer service was top notch and the workmanship is great as well. Definitely would recommend. My insurance (AAA) was taken here. When I got in to the time I left it was less than an hour. they also had a small waiting area on the side that consisted of couches. It has been more than 6 months since I got my Windshield repaired. My car has been through fall and winter. It has rained many times and been through car washes. No leaks! Thank you! read more

Quick service at an affordable price. They cleaned and vacuumed the broken glass and replaced the glass in about 20 minutes. I called about an hour before arriving to their location, and the lady asked the make and model and said they can help me. The small back glass for an older model cost me $100. About 10 years ago it was $80 so prices have gone up a bit, which is expected. It's painful to spend $100 for something someone else broke, but these folks made a really stressful and crappy day much easier and helped get everything done in a short amount of time so I can get on with my day. read more

I didn't have any valuables in the car but idiot broke the quarter panel to pull the back seat down to check my trunk. So the guy basically smashed my window for NOTHING bc my trunk was empty.
