Hole in the wall family owned restaurant with great food and friendly staff! Brought my mom here for her birthday and everything was delicious! Our server was super sweet and made dinner very pleasant. We ordered from the Dine Out Lauderdale menu and each had 3 course meal. I started with the blue crab cake and it was packed with crab. The fish eggs on top and the cucumber pieces made everything refreshing. The lamb chops were very tender and juicy. The gravy sauce was amazing. The green beans and mini tomatoes were a nice compliment to the meat. My creme brulee was the perfect sweet end to my courses. My mom's escargot was garlicky and delicious. Lots of garlic butter to dip the bread in. The fish of the day was Atlantic cod and it was pan fried with capers. It was light and my mom really enjoyed it. The mango sorbet cake dessert was also very light but a bit on the sweet side. It's came beautifully displayed in a martini glass. Will definitely be back for more amazing French cuisine.

Enjoyed a cozy dinner-a-deux at Le Bistro last night! Christmas Day, the hostess at the restaurant we had planned to go to must've thought we meant Christmas EVE instead of Christmas DAY. They were closed. We were literally All Dressed Up With No Place to Go! Trusty Google saved the day! We landed at Le Bistro, French, Steakhouse, a delightful & charming spot on 4626 N Federal in LHP. They were so kind to accommodate us at the last moment... it was just lovely! Our appetizers were: a beautiful greens salad with onions, green olives, hearts of palm, radish, and tomato with a light dijon vinaigrette (he), escargot with perfect garlic butter and a mini French bread for dipping (me). Intermezzo was a light shaved mango sorbet which cleansed our palates for the entree. He: tender turkey with sage & onion dressing, tasty gravy, mashed potatoes light n' buttery, and green beans. Me: roast beef, medium rare, tasty beef gravy, bearnaise sauce on the side, burgundy truffle whipped potatoes and tiny asparagus tips. The merlot, Chevalier Alexis Lichine, vin de France, was smooth as soft velvet. So good & reasonably priced I enjoyed two generous glasses Dessert was couveture chocolate mousse (he) and vanilla creme brulee (me). And cups of the best coffee! Ambience is soft and delightfully cozy. We enjoyed a cozy half-booth in the corner. The service was impeccable & unobtrusive. I dreamed of enjoying a French Onion soup here on a chilly, blustery night. Holiday dinner is prix fixe and expensive (but SO worth it!). Wine is reasonably priced. I imagine regular dinner service would be high end, however, I believe if you'd enjoy a French Steakhouse that would be as comfortable in the South of France as it is on Federal in LHP. They're open 5-9:30 pm Mon-Thu, 5-10 pm Fri & Sat, 5-9 pm Sunday. Definitely call for reservations: 954.946.9240 It was a night to remember...

We had a lovely dinner here for my birthday in this small restaurant in lighthouse point. It is located on the east side of federal highway/US 1 in the same shopping strip as papas raw bar, so the spaces fill up fast. Luckily, we'd read on their website before coming that they have spaces set aside with traffic cones. As directed, we removed one of the cones and pulled into one of their reserved parking spaces right in front of the restaurant. We've been dining early to avoid any crowds, and here, too, we started out as the first table occupied inside. It is not a fancy decorated venue, but was comfortable. We had very attentive and pleasant service throughout even after a few other parties arrived. We skipped a salad or appetizer to save room for dessert. My husband was happy to start with a glass of a favorite wine by Kim Crawford, however. I ordered their breast of duck entree. The duck was perfectly cooked as ordered, sliced and presented as a tower atop a potato hash. The "hash" was seasoned cubed potatoes mixed in with green beans. All was on top of a light cassis based sauce. There were blueberries around the edge of the plate (in keeping with the berry cassis) and very thin slices of candied orange peel. As the sauce was not sweet, I wound up pairing a sliver of orange peel with each piece of tender duck. My husband had their steak frites special. The small steak was flavorful, cooked also as ordered, with a peppercorn sauce on the side that gave it a bit of personality. It came with a basket of crispy hand cut steak fries. For dessert, we shared their apple tart with vanilla ice cream. We asked for the ice cream to be served on the side -- it is usually served on top of the warm tart. It was a nice surprise to have a birthday candle in the ice cream! And she was nice enough to take our "official" photo -- which we do every year. The tart was an airy puffy base topped with thick sliced apples, cinnamon, and powdered sugar. The vanilla ice cream was a rich pairing. A tasty dinner here was the perfect setting for a low key birthday celebration.

One of the best meals my brother and I have EVER had! Chilean sea bass melted in my mouth and was surrounded by delicious fresh vegetables. My brother had a rack of lamb that was perfectly juicy and tender. The chocolate torte dessert was very rich and the strawberries tasted ripe. Not hard to see why this has been of the few successful Kitchen Nightmares restaurants. Elin was a friendly and attentive hostess/server. Andy also wished us well. The cozy yet elegant atmosphere was very calming after a stressful day. Cannot recommend this place enough!

What a great place! Came to dinner here with my husband and my 19 month old. We loved it!! We loved the ambiance, the jazz music, the lighting and the feel of the restaurant. It's the type of place you can really enjoy a glass of wine and feel super cozy in. It's very intimate and overall had a great vibe. The food was also amazing! We had crab cake, risotto (best I've ever had!) and the beef Wellington!! everything was so delicious! They even gave us a complimentary frozen mango dessert! We are coming back for sure! Highly recommend it! You will love it!

If you want culinary mastery Le Bistro is the place for you! I was a line cook for 8/9 years. So I know a thing or two about food production. Andy prepared the most delectable beef Wellington and Duck breast. So good. And his pallet cleansers were so good, the crème brûlée was amazing. Like seriously. And Elin was such a doll. 10/10. One of the best dining experiences in south Florida. Sorry for my ugly photos. I was dying to eat

The food, ambiance, and service are fantastic. We took my mom to Le Bistro, and she absolutely enjoyed herself. Especially when they put a candle in her creme brulee without any of us asking. Talk about being attentive. I can't wait to come back to Florida and visit my new favorite spot... Oh yeah, and to see my family.

These people are sinister************. Be careful. It is unfortunate that restaurants like this are able to keep their doors open. Usually when a restaurant fails it is because ownership. Please keep in mind my girl friend is celiac. Before coming to restaurant, my girlfriend had send me this restaurant that she found online that had a lot of gluten free options. She said "babe you love crab cakes and the menu says they are gf!". So we went, because I FUCKING love crab cakes. 1. When we first got the the restaurant we were greeted by a very nice server. He seemed to have a good knowledge of the menu. 2. Knowing what we wanted already form the menu online (which said the crab cakes were gluten free) we instantly ordered the crab cakes, and some other appetizers. 3. After we had already ate the meal, the waiter came out and said oh hey, by the way you know the crab cakes aren't gluten free? 4. Admittedly I was heated, and used a coupe choice words because I was worried about my girl friends health. 5. The owner ended up calling me a fuck boy, and that I should go fuck my self. This owner is a perfect example of the Napoleon complex. He is living off the glory days of Gordon Ramsay having to come save his restaurant. Apparently after Ramsey left, this guy went back to his old ways. NEVER COME Here. Update******** Owner has not apologized. Said that we scammed them. Look them up online. Menu still says it's gluten Update #2****** Menu has not changed. Be very careful. The customer is not priority at this "establishme Update #3***** Menu has not been updated. Owner who was not there during the incident has been harassing me to take this review down. Called my past employer to complain to them for some reason as well.

Ever since the renovation they're outside seating is amazing. There are so many choices where you can sit by the bar, high tops tables along the water or even at one of their second bar or other tables a little bit further away from the water. You never have to wait long either because they have so much seating available. It really gives an island vibe when eating at the cove from the high ceilings to the music to the great food choices and especially sitting along the water. You'll also never know what type of boat you might see as well, which makes for a fun time. I think a highlight appetizer is definitely the conquers. They are super flavorful and you definitely get the seafood taste without much filler. I also love the black and mahi sandwich for an entrée. I think that they always give a very nice piece of mahi and the blackened seasoning that they use is not overbearing, but really adds flavor. My favorite drink here is a blue moon on draft. I think that there is nothing better than a blue moon when sitting along the water. If you haven't tried the cove, I definitely recommend stopping by. I think their food is phenomenal. The atmosphere is great and the service is a 10 out of 10.

Our server, Adrianna, was extremely friendly and attentive. We started with drinks. We ordered the Private Plane, which comes with a cute little paper airplane and a large square ice cube, and a vodka martini. Both were excellent and strong, which I personally prefer! We decided to do several appetizers instead of entrées and ordered the lobster tacos, Wagyu dumplings, and burrata and tomato salad. Everything was excellent with great portions and tons of flavor. The lobster tacos were outstanding and probably my favorite lobster tacos I've ever had. Then came dessert. We couldn't decide between the Bananas Foster and the brownie with ice cream. Adrianna told us she had an idea and would take care of it. She came back with both desserts on the house! We were completely surprised. The food is consistently well prepared and well-presented.My personal favorite is the Walnut Shrimp, but this time I tried the Fish & Chips and they were fantastic. Coming from someone from New England, that's high praise, and even the leftovers tasted great the next day! What made the evening especially enjoyable was our server, Alejandro. He was amazing! He was charming, attentive, perfectly timed, and very generous with his time answering our questions. His excellent presentation and service truly made the night. J. Mark's is definitely one of my Pompano favorites!

Fast forward to today, and it's a completely different story. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The steaks were massive, juicy, and cooked to perfection, easily some of the best I've had anywhere, and I've paid top dollar at high-end steakhouses. The Hawaiian ribeye, in particular, was incredible, tender & juicy. The wings were huge and packed with flavor, honestly some of the best wings I could ask for. They've also stepped up their starters. The new bread with honey butter is insanely good, and the avocado eggrolls with tamarind sauce are absolutely next level. I added on the crab cake which is of insane quality, big lump pieces, it's actually hard to find breading. Service was just as impressive, attentive, smooth, and genuinely welcoming. I even had the chance to speak with the manager, Dani, who explained they made a major shift away from distributors that were hurting their quality. They went back to basics, focused on what made them great in the first place, and it shows in every bite. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time, across any cuisine. J. Mark's is back, and better than ever.
