A nice little café on Capitol Hill that offers lunch items in addition to just beverages. Very nice patio with umbrellas and some flowers. Especially beautiful in the sun. The interior is very narrow like all row houses. Even worse when there's a line. But it's intimate. See my photos.

Le Bon will always be one of my favorite lunch spots during the work week, especially because of their rotating soup and quiches and lunch special of a half sandwich and half soup! That's what we tried this trip, their seasonal butternut squash soup and I was feeling like their French ham and butter on a baguette would be a perfect pairing (and was right of course)

I really wanted to relax and read my book here but the tables are so close that people talking next to you make it difficult to focus. Otherwise, the food was great and the people very friendly!

Salty Avacado toast and bland " roasted" potatoes

While, this café is conveniently located in Capitol Hill, The food is subpar. Basic avocado toast overly salty due to the seasoning dumped on it. Requested roasted potatoes instead was given cold potatoes and then I was given the roasted potatoes after which tasted worse than the cold potatoes- roasted potatoes completely bland. The food was essentially an unedible.

Cramped. Very cramped, tiny space. Ergo, noisy. Food is excellent! Order at the counter. Food is ready in just minutes minutes. Buss your own table

Greek Granola, Fruit, & Yogurt Parfait was tasted great and was surprisingly filling.

Great food with a calm atmosphere. Service was pleasant and the French music in the background made the place feel like I was in Paris again. Will definitely be coming back for pop in breakfast and lunch.

4/10/24 Hotel's breakfast was awful yesterday, and we this cafe down the block. It's a tiny space, and there was a huge line. I grabbed a table and hubby waited in line to order. Breakfast Sandwich was good. The croissant was buttery. Egg Strata was good. Interesting like a fritata but different.

My wife and I tried this and were not exactly sure what to expect. It seemed like a local favorite and it became very obvious once we got there. There was a significant flow of customers during our time there. The wait, despite the flow of customers, did not seem to be unreasonable. The space inside was pretty tight but there was plenty of room to sit outside or wait for a table to open inside. The food was very delicious! There was a wide selection of menu items which made it very difficult to choose what to get. We will definitely try it again!

Le Bon Mixed Greens Salad (V, GF)

It was very busy and crowded at lunchtime, but we didn't wait too long after our orders. There were more tables outdoor. The service was per normal. We ordered: 4*La Combo: half of Curried Turkey.... sandwich with organic mixed green salad. It was light and healthy. 5*Le Bon Mixed Greens Salad: for less than $10, weeks got a bowl of colorful and healthy meal. I would come back for more.

This place is a wonderful stop. Lots of food for $12. I got the le bon club sandwich and it was very fresh and large. I enjoyed every bite. The double chocolate chip cookie was super standout. I'd get that again in a heartbeat.

Rounding up a 3.5 to a 4 star for overall experience and value. Le Bon is a tiny little cafe that serves economical food, not far from the Capitol & Library of Congress. We arrived just before a rush on a Saturday morning. While cute French music adds to the ambiance, the interior feels cramped. Sitting at inside tables means you'll likely have the line traveling right next to you while you eat, unless you snag the one little booth tucked by the window. We chose to eat outside since the weather was nice. At one point something in the kitchen was burned or caught fire, filling the entire place with smoke, so that was a good choice! Our food and coffee came out in timely fashion. We decided to eat here once I saw the açaí bowl on the menu. Just what I was craving. Served with generous portions of granola, coconut, and fruit. I wish the açaí smoothie part had been a bit thicker, but I was still quite satisfied with my choice. Both my husband and my son enjoyed their breakfast as well, having ordered the baked egg strata and the baked French toast respectively. Prices were very reasonable. Coffee was good and serve hot, which I appreciate as there's nothing worse than a lukewarm coffee, imho.

Omelette with Chicken, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, and Spinach with Potatoes
    James B.

This cafe was a great location for a cheap and quick bite. The service here was fast as it is just counter service and my food came out hot and quickly. The omelette was really great and definitely worth it for the price, however the potatoes were cold and not tasty. The seating inside is quite limited but there is a nice small cafe vibe. I would definitely visit Le Bon again but would opt for a side other than the potatoes.

This little cafe has the best coffee cake I think I've ever had. Moist, with a ribbon of chocolate! Good iced tea as well.

It's also a cool spot to work remote or taking a meeting. I hope the owner open more establishments in the future. Right now there are 2 locations (including Union Market) - I've had great experiences at both. Even though we got our drinks and food to go, I couldn't help but admire the cute ceramics and overall aesthetic of the space. I ordered the lavender latte, which was good but didn't completely wow me. My husband and I also shared the bread pudding, and that was definitely the highlight. He gave it a 9/10, and I'd have to agree, it was delicious and the perfect treat to enjoy while walking around the pier. One thing to note is that prices are definitely on the higher side. I noticed the avocado toast was around $18, and while it looked nice, it didn't seem particularly special for the price. Overall, a very cute café with a great atmosphere and an excellent bread pudding. A lovely stop while visiting the Wharf.

The restaurant is super cute, with a fun cafe vibe, and it's an easy walk from the waterfront. We ordered the Colada Trio, which came with empanadas, cauliflower sliders, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious, and it came with three different sauces that were honestly all so good. I could've eaten those sauces with everything. We also ordered the Platanachos (plantain nachos), which were flavorful and such a fun twist on traditional nachos. They accidentally forgot the cauliflower and mushroom topping, but as soon as I mentioned it, they brought it out right away along with extra sauce. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a place handles them, and they were incredibly accommodating, which I really appreciated. It was pretty busy when we visited, and I noticed who I believe was the manager or owner helping clean tables and checking on guests. I always love seeing that kind of hands-on involvement. Great food, friendly service, and an awesome location if you're exploring the Wharf. I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

I don't typically go for counter service or QR code service restaurants, but stopped in for a quick bite before a concert at the Anthem. The Cuban sandwich is legit and very tasty with tender pork, soft fresh bread with a crunchy crust, and great pickles. And the stewed plantains were perfectly tender with a caramel like sweetness. Probably the nicest surprise was their reasonably priced cocktails that have a Cuban flair. The happy hour options are very tasty.
