As others have said, this is a true mom and pop establishment, I only had the cappuccino but it was delicious (and a fair price). There is a time warp element here at Le Cafe Bonjour. It could be 1964, 1984 or even 2024, which all part of the charm! Highly recommend to anyone passing through St. Vincent's Court.

Definitely a hole in the wall with the cutest couple running it. I ordered the cafe Latte with oak milk and it is delicious! The cost is extremely affordable for a rich smooth taste. I will come here every time I'm in the area. I love the energy and vibe of this tiny place! It's not for everyone so have an open mind!

I ordered a small cafe latte with soy ($3.50). It's decent but not impressive. My friend ordered a flat white, he let her pick the coffee and milk portion. I love my other friend's mocha better, the cocoa portion was just right but rich.

Mocha Frappuccino, so texture is so fine and the cream & sweetness is just right. Waayyyy better than Starbucks Frapp!

Such a cute, hidden gem! Impress your friends with your knowledge that St. Vincent's Court exists, then further impress them with the amazing prices that Le Cafe Bonjour has to offer. Parking is up to you: there are Meters on the streets surrounding the court, plus stacked parking off of Hill. Hoofing it from the 7th & Metro station is another option for Metro riders. At any rate, check out the cute, quaint charm of LCB but keep your party small since there's maybe a seat or two inside: it's mostly counter space. There are also a couple tables outside to soak in the charm of this faux European alleyway as you nosh on hot breakfast, sandwich or even ramen soup! I've been here many times with my coworkers, but just on their coffee break. It's safe to say that we agree that their coffee is among the best that Downtown has to offer; as their lattes for one, is silky and sweet as they add a hint of Torani syrup. Prices run about $4.75 for a large latte. I only came here once for the $5 Tuna sandwich which was fine. I wouldn't say it's out of this world, but it's decent. The major downside that affected my star rating is that it took 15-20 minutes to make one sandwich. I only have an hour break for lunch and had to walk half a mile. So it's not worth the while to wait for something so simple when there's so little time to spare. Nevertheless, I look forward to coming back on my breaks. Hopefully, I can enjoy a full meal here before too long!

Tiny spot with something for everyone and outdoor café bench seats have cushions and a view of the quaint street for people watching. My friend had a carrot apple juice blend and an omelet with ham veggies and cheese for under $10 and I chose the spicy Korean vegetable noodle soup with an egg that was loaded with flavor and carrots, cabbage, celery, and spinach for only $6! Service is very nice but a bit disorganized. My friend got her omelet and finished before they realized they had not brought me my soup. They apologized profusely. They serve Porto's pastries and espresso so you can come just for dessert. Cash only.

This is a small boutique cafe in St Vincent Court, in the jewelry district of downtown Los Angeles. Parking can be found on the surrounding streets easily, and runs between $10-$20. I walked in here today to get a hot cup of joe. Since I'm big on lattes, I opted for a mocha latte. Their quality is pretty good, compared to most commercial coffee spots. They do put quite a bit of chocolate syrup, so I had to emphasize to only put a bit of it, as I'm not into the overly-sugared drinks. The small mocha latte cost me $3.25, and a small bottle of water cost me $1.00. There is a table to sit inside, and a bench with tables just outside the shop. I sat there for about 15 minutes until the Persian restaurant across the way opened. I chatted with local business owners. It's a good place to recharge on caffeine on your walk through downtown LA.

I walked in expecting a croissant. I left spiritually renewed, slightly over-caffeinated, and emotionally attached to a baguette named Gerald. The staff? So friendly I thought I accidentally joined a cult, like, the delicious kind. The barista smiled at me like I had potential. Nobody has done that since 2013. The coffee? Bold. Smooth. What a cute little out of the way café. It's on St Vincent alley so you might miss it in the hubub of DTLA. It's a tiny but very clean and efficient little spot. The owner was there working the espresso machine. They were very nice, we chatted as he made me the tastiest oat milk latte with cinnamon on top. I can confidently say that this coffee shop wins first place in my heart. The coffee here is unlike no other in Downtown, LA. It comes in strong with those fresh Colombian beans and that gorgeous latte art! The food here is also very good, given that it's a small coffee shop. We stopped in during our vacation and only had coffee but WOW was it good! It's a strong coffee but very smooth so it's not bitter or acidic. The rest of our time in California we kept looking for a coffee that would be as good but found nothing. It reminded us of our favorite coffee in Italy. If we ever visit LA we hope to still find them making this amazing coffee. read more

Wow, We came here for lunch today and were pleasantly surprised! The owner is super friendly and gave us a few pieces of fresh watermelon as he was making our watermelon juice (which was delicious)! I got the Club sandwich and honestly, I was expecting a very basic sandwich with just the listed ingredients. Turkey, Ham, Lettuce, Cheese, and Tomato. What I got totally surpassed my admittedly low expectations. The sandwich had all of the listed ingredients plus pesto, cucumbers, and chopped chilis! It was really good! My wife got the BLT and again, we expected a very basic bacon lettuce tomato sandwich but it surprised us with some sort of italian dressing and chopped chilis which enhanced the flavors! I definitely need to come back to try the coffee as well as other food items. Also, prices are very very reasonable considering it's in the middle of DTLA. read more

It's hard to find a good place to sit outside and relax and have real cup of coffee nowadays. Alas, I have found another place where I can go and enjoy a darn good cup of matcha tea or coffee.I love small coffee shops because they serve real quality not quantity. I bumped into this place when I finished eating some delicious Persian food a couple stores down. I ordered a matcha latte and the barista made an art into it and tasted wonderful! Not sweet at all, just the flavor of the matcha power! Next time I shall come with a book and have a cappuccino. The owners of this cafe are really nice and friendly and greatly appreciate business. Hmmm...well, they were really nice. And yes, the alley is a nice, clean, quiet(er) atmosphere. However, that is where my agreement with the previous reviewers end. I guess I thought because of the name, that I would feel like I was sitting in a Parisian cafe. I would have, if Parisian cafes are teeny tiny liquor stores crammed with teas on wall and sundry items on the other. So I didn't really feel in the mood for trying the coffee even after everybody raved about it...I didn't feel like having coffee outside a liquor store in an alley. We ordered the breakfast sandwich and tuna sandwich. Both were fine, nothing to write home about...regular wheat bread. But they were really nice, as I said. read more

GREAT coffee. Random but really nice setting. We drank our coffee outside, it felt like we were in Italy for 10mins. Haha. The tuna sandwich was also pretty good, it takes him long bc he makes everything fresh and by himself but it's SO worth it. The pastries arent impressive. They're probably all store bought bc he doesnt even have an over the inside of the store is tiny. Great getaway when you're in the jewelry district. read more

I have tried every major coffeeshop since moving to DTLA: Blue Bottle, Go Get Em Tiger, Stereoscopic, Intelligensia, Stumptown and more...none of them compare to the latte I received from Le Cafe Bonjour. I have been here a few times and I keep coming back because of the very friendly staff and great service! It's a cozy spot in the heart of DTLA to grab some food and coffee (also very instagram-able haha) I had the le cafe panini (turkey, cheese, tomato, spinach I believe) and freshly squeezed orange juice and it came out very quickly, and of course was very delicious!! this place is lovely! It's hidden away in an alley off 7th. The address might throw you off. First of all, it's cash only, which I should have known before I got there, but the young man working there gave me my croissant for free along with the most amazing cafe mocha I have ever had. (He also catered to my music taste and played some Bad Religion for me) Then when I left, the owner gave me a free cup of ice tea. I love this place. definitely going back. read more

Le Cafe Bonjour has definitely been one of the most disappointing and upsetting coffeeshops I have visited. For one, the pictures make this place seem like a God-sent... a super pleasant cafe to enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee. NOPE!! The place is a tiny hole in the wall cafe in a very dingy alley. Coming here on a cloudy day also made the entire visit a bit depressing. Since the seating is all outside, the alleyway definitely plays a role in the ambiance of the coffeeshop. The coffeeshop is kind of a fusion between a cafe and a liquor store. Really cramped. The alleyway was extremely dirty...and the day I went, it smelled like HEAVY urine! So happy I was meeting with people...so I wasn't just sitting in a grungy environment drinking a poorly made capp. Coffee art? I've given up on seeing people make coffee art (unless you asked for it, or it's for display purposes). The guy just blotched the foam on top, and then handed it to me. So all these fantastic designs other people have gotten...bewilders me... Also, I asked for my drink "for here", and the guy gave me a to-go cup. What can I say to express how much I love this place and being a regular there. This cosy cafe is located in a semi covered alley in the diamond district. The atmosphere is very European and it is frequented by many old men sitting around drinking coffee all day. The coffee therefore is of course traditional and truly excellent. this is no starbucks... The owner and his staff are really friendly and it's always a pleasure to find time to make it there for a coffee. Try it out!! read more

Having a sip before mixing the Vienna latter was incredible, the sweet cream followed with the nutty strong espresso flavour then getting a refreshing splash of milk made a great combo with the Biscoff. I actually liked the drink less after its all mixed because it was too creamy for my taste. (I normally like my coffee black) My hojicha latte was great, but it was also too milky for me. So I went up and asked if it would taste good dirty, with an espresso shot in it, and the barista said yes. I ordered an espresso shot and instead of charging me full price, they only charged me the add on espresso shot for the drink! ($1.50 instead of $4) It was very kind of them since it was absolutely my mistake for not ordering the right drink in the first place. The shot added much depth and flavour to the hojicha latte I was craving. Thanks for the wonderful service. I'm definitely coming back to try their other specialty drinks.

The interior is modern-industrial, with plenty of seating for studying -- or, if you prefer, you can sit on the outside patio and enjoy a scenic view of the city. The line is usually long, especially on weekends, but the staff are efficient and helpful, and most importantly, the matcha is good. It's more vegetal than I prefer, but its creaminess and full-bodied taste make up for the grassiness. They do lots of food, as well as a matcha tiramisu that they only make limited batches of daily. If you're ever in downtown LA and need a matcha fix + a cute place to R&R, AOU is your place!

I didn't feel like causing a hassle to remake because I'm just gonna drink and stir anyway but, since it was my first time here I wanted at least a nice drink picture oh well I left wondering how they would have handled it if I had asked them to remake it lol Parking was easy for me to find on the street, on a Wednesday around 12. The lot itself is very small and one way but if you're lucky it's free parking. Inside is pretty spacious, it's cute modern, nice.

This really is a wonderful very little coffee shop with lots of heart and soul, cost-free online, plus a wonderful getting together with or examine place. Their caffeine was fresh, tasty and smooth. They have more food options, maybe some eggs in the am,. That's the only things I would request. Will unquestionably come back on this page. read more

I've read some of the reviews and i had to drop by just to try their coffee and i have to say i was pleasantly surprised! I got the best caramel macchiato and almond croissant I've had anywhere in LA, so far. The service was incredible. Me and my friend felt very welcome and will most definitely return. read more

Good for coffee and drinks...maybe not so much on food. They had grilled cheese advertised on their menu 6 bucks. I thought wow for six bucks must be pretty good. I got a hamburger bun with cheese inside heated....never eating here again read more

One of those hidden gems scattered around downtown la. I got their tuna sandwich (my favorite sandwich) and it was pretty good. I would recommend this place whether its from reading yelp or you just happen to be passing by. read more
