Great coffee spot down the street from the Distrikt Hotel where my wife and I were staying. She enjoyed an iced matcha latte. I had enjoyed my normal cold brew that helped bring me life after a night of slumber. While there are counter seats that overlook West 40th Street at the corner of 9th Avenue, most patrons, such as ourselves, go in to grab our caffeinated fix and be on our way. Additionally, they have some nice baked goods and their breakfast sandwiches look good, even though I didn't order any in particular. Corvo has an effortless queue flow from the entrance on the street, where the staff are efficient at taking and producing the orders in the sophisticated coffee bar setting. Cute little coffee shop located next to the Doubletree by Hilton New York Times Square West. They offer a variety of coffee options as well as tea and you also have options for pastry items, including croissants and bagels and they do breakfast sandwiches as well. My husband got the croissant and he said it's everything you want from a croissant. They are light and fluffy. It has all the perfect layers to it. He said the coffee is very good as well. Probably one of the better cups of coffee he's had in New York City. I opted for the peppermint tea and love the tea that they utilize. I also got the Everything Bagel and love that it's a little bit different take on the everything bagel! It has the traditional sesame, but includes some oats as well. read more

This meant that she would take the order and make it before taking the next order so this took a while. We have to wait 30+ mins. I ordered the iced dirty horchata with oat milk, which was very good. The cinnamon taste was good. The drink was not too sweet and overall very good. My friend ordered the honeybee latte, which was absolutely the worst drink we have ever tried. No taste of coffee. Could quite frankly only taste the honey. Waste of money since we have to pay $9 for a drink in this economy. Not really a sit down coffee shop; there's only a bit of seating against the window, and the ambiance is much more of a bustling, grab a coffee and go feel. I got an iced latte, which to be honesty, is definitely not my typical order. It was overall good, but felt a bit watered down. The coffee itself had a slightly burnt aroma, which was off-putting, and definitely discourages me from getting a more concentrated drink, like my normal cortado. My husband and I actually came back here every morning of our NYC trip. It was a little crowded due to the morning rush, but it was the perfect morning kick in the butt that we needed to help us explore the city. When I take the bus from New Jersey into Port Authority Bus Terminal, there is part of the loop the bus does where you can look down and see Corvo Coffee briefly out the window. I have always wondered about this place but never had the opportunity to check it out in the mornings (I exit on the opposite side of PABT for work). Recently during New York Comic-Con, I did exit on the opposite side of PABT than I normally do so I was able to check out Corvo Coffee. Corvo has the look of a coffee joint you'd find in Soho or the West Village. It's welcoming for sure, but *boy* is it tiny! When I went people were practically on top of each other to order and wait for their food. There is only a narrow area in front of the counter to order, then a tiny space for 3-4 people to wait. There is seating against the windows but turn around too fast and you'll likely bump into someone. If you aren't big on crowds, this may not be the ideal spot for you. The staff at Corvo's is hard working, no doubt. The entire time I was there I never saw them stop moving. Orders were taken and handed out within minutes. It was very impressive to watch everyone work. I ordered a Dirty Chai and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. My order was ready in no time. Be warned: if you order a bagel with cream cheese, they hand you the bagel in a wax paper bag with two small containers of cream cheese that you have to spread yourself. Now, normally I wouldn't mind this as it likely speeds up the process and I can control how the cream cheese is spread on the bagel. The problem? There was no real place to put the bagel down *to* spread the cream cheese. I wound up having to create a makeshift area where the napkins were to do this and I had to do it *quick* because I was in everyone's way. I am happy to report the Dirt Chai was good. A solid B. It was nowhere near the quality of the one at say, Felix Roasting Company in Soho but it was okay. Had the spices punched through the flavor more I would have been much happier. The bagel was good. Again, a solid B but nothing to write home about. The texture was okay but the flavor did not have that nice, deep cinnamon and raisin scent and flavor one would normally expect. Instead it was kind of faint. I wouldn't go out of my way to hit up Corvo again, but my experience there was good and pleasant enough. If you're by PABT and need a coffee, muffin, bagel etc. in a pinch, this will do nicely. read more

After visiting a few cafes in the city where they didn't have normal flavors or menu items, I appreciated how standard the menu is here. Service was fast and there wasn't a long line.
