Magnificent. My wife and I joked that the reservation said it was on the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower, which technically is correct. The 2nd floor must be 300 feet above the ground floor. Great view. Stunning views, especially when the Tower lights up and there are flashing lights on the exterior. Food was exceptional. Service over the top. May be the most expensive meal that I've ever had but eating at the top of the Eiffel Tower in a five star restaurant is worth it. read more

This Michelin Star restaurant is located on the second level (420 feet up) on the Eiffel Tower. The day we went was pre-fixe menu 5 or 7 course between 190-230 euros per person as champagne they recommend was 35 euros. The portions and presentations are elegant and small but with the 7 course meal we were stuffed. The desserts were to die for and many of the dishes were seafood. The ambience is obviously nice given your in the Eiffel Tower. The entrance is on the southern side of the tower and there is a sign and a staff member for anyone who eating at the restaurant. The staff member walks you to the entrance of the restaurant and you take a private elevator up. Every seat is good and with views so don't worry about that. After dinner you take a set of stairs one flight to the second level deck to take photos and look out on the southern view. You then walk back up to take the private elevator back down. Definitely worth coming to this experience. Food is excellent and views can't be beat. read more

We had a good time in the beginning but we got food poisoning and no one from the staff came to help us out or ask how we were doing. We were just put into a cab and that was it. The food was decent but definitely not the best Michelin we've had. The view was great and is the reason to go! I think they don't have as high standards for service because they know people will always come to the tower. For example when we sat no one came by the table for quite a while with water or drink menu or aperitif. Would probably recommend at least one time if you want the view but don't go for the food. 10/10 can second what many other reviewers have said about just how incredible this experience was. We felt like VIPS from the moment we walked in the door. The ambiance, service, and of course the food was all outstanding. This truly was a culinary experience of a lifetime for me. They naturally cater very well to American Tourists and speak good English. They made us feel welcomed and doted on the whole meal which was wonderful. We did the full 7 courses and added the cheese and got a bottle of wine and it came out to around $350 USD a person. Which to me seems like an extremely fair price to pay for such a luxurious and delicious evening. We got to watch the sun set and had private access to the observation deck, the pictures came out beautiful. Don't get me wrong this is certainly a splurge meal, but for the quality of every aspect of the experience it feels like a fair price to ask. I couldn't recommend it more. I would tell any of my friends visiting Paris it is a must-do. I worked hard to earn the money I used to pay for having such a special evening and it was worth every penny. I hope to return at some point in my lifetime but even if I never do the experience, I had left me feeling satisfied. read more

The service was extremely slow, the waiter complained when informed a member of my party is vegetarian. Not gracious or accommodating considering this is not an inexpensive restaurant. In addition, not one staff person was wearing a mask. There was an ill child at the next table who gave a member of my party Covid. Best birthday dinner ever! I made a reservation about a month before and they accommodated my birthday. To find the entrance, you have to walk all the way in and there's an elevator that takes you up to the restaurant. Make sure if you book a reservation to dress accordingly. Dress code is semi formal or formal. There is someone checking people in at the front door. Your name needs to be on the list to get in. Then small groups will get into the elevator and go up. The waiter will seat you at your table. Luckily my fiancé and I got the window seat and we saw the whole view. It was definitely a sight to see. We then was asked on what drinks we wanted and how many courses we would like. We ended up picking the 6 course meal. Best meal ever! We were so full. Thank you for the best birthday dinner ever. Recently enjoyed an extraordinary meal here on a solo vacation. Obviously the venue is unrivaled. Because the chef has Michelin stars and is expected to get them here, I am going to be more critical than normal. I will start by saying the food alone is deserving of 3 Michelin stars. Every one of the 7 courses was outstanding with surprisingly the chicken my favorite. It was in the most amazing white wine sauce I have ever tasted. Since I had a 7pm reservation, the service was outstanding through the first half of the evening. As the restaurant filled, it did fall short, and was mediocre by the end of the meal. I had 4 glasses of wine and 2 of them did not pair well and were just okay. It was nice to be able to walk outside on the tower after the meal. Also on a rainy, cold night during the strike, I appreciated being walked out to a waiting taxi. read more

Ok, so typically we have experienced tourist attraction restaurants to be sub par, even if expensive. This is NOT the case here. Staff - awesome, and were able to attend to our dietary restriction...we don't eat gluten (gluten free), are pescatarian and I am allergic to shellfish. Perfection! And the Sommelier was phenomenal. Note: not sure if they could do vegan. Food. To die for! Every single dish was superb, beautiful, and very enjoyable. Desserts were so delicious, including the special homemade marshmallow with a raspberry filling. My wife loves chocolate and loved the dessert. View: amazing! We went at 7pm in September to see it in the light, experience the sunset and see the city at night. Be sure to make reservations very early to get a window seat, but any seat is amazing. Also, be aware that the access to the outdoor viewing bridge closes at 11pm, so if you are there late, take a break and go view before it closes. Don't miss this experience or food! read more

Walk in to the southern pillar of the Eiffel Tower, and you are escorted to a private elevator that whisks you away from the noise and crowds of people wanting to see this historic structure. The restaurant is divided into 2 small dining rooms. The one we ate in was about 10 -12 tables. There is also a smaller (2 tables) room in the interior of the tower. The views from any table in the main rooms are good, but book a table next to the window, if you can. The food is fabulous. It's better than I expected given it's a touristy place and has been around a long time. Chef Frédéric Anton has created an amazing gastronomic experience. They require a large fee (250€ for dinner) that should cover the small (5 course) tasting menu. The larger one (7 courses) will be additional cost. As I recall, wine is included in the price. After dinner, they will invite you to go down (Yes, you are about 20 feet above) to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower and give you a private code to get back in so you can take their private elevator down to collect your belongings. read more

Jules Verne is magnificent! This was our 3rd visit to Jules Verne, and I decided to propose to my fiancé. The staff was very helpful in showing us to our seats, and escorting us to a private observatory (just for Jules Verne guests) where I proposed. When we returned for our meal, the food and service was just exceptional... and it has been that way each of the three times we visited. We are both vegan, and the staff went out of there way to prepare incredible dishes for a very diverse five course tasting. Just want to be clear I am not a negative person. So I'm going to start out with a positive, The view is beautiful If you happen to be facing the windows. Unfortunately my table for two one of us had a nice view the other had a view of a wall. Now on to the negatives. The cost despite the exclusivity was astronomical. You would feel better about yourself if you took $500 went on top of the Eiffel Tower and threw it off the tower to the poor people surrounding the area. The restaurant has recently been renovated the Decour was lackluster our table was a formica simulated wood the colors were very muted I'm going to find. The menu was a price fixed menu and you had two options 5 course meal or 7 course. We chose the 5 course meal. Course #1 was a cheese puff in the middle of a dish with ate some jellied lobster in a separate cup on the side presentation I give it a one out of 10 taste I give it two out of 10. Onto course number two and by the way these courses are more like bites because really that's all you're getting is one bite out of each item. Course number two was crab covered in some kind of cream like a Cool Whip the Cool Whip portion I couldn't even eat it was disgusting the crib I'll rate a four out of 10. Onto the third course which was a P soup with a roasted cauliflower and cream sauce which was actually fabulous that was the highlight of the meal. I would rate that a eight out of 10. Course number four was the entrée which was A chicken with mushroom sauce. The chicken was a tenderloin of chicken and it was no bigger than my middle finger and actually look like a chicken finger without breadcrumbs. On taste I'll give it an 7 Out of 10 but a one out of 10 on quantity and was not very satiating. Our final course was a chocolate pastry with a teaspoon scoop of ice cream on the side. My wife didn't eat her dessert because she said it reminded her of a ring ding. Now onto the service. When we pulled up to the Eiffel tower the sign said Jules Verne and we had to enter through a main gate because the private entrance for Jules Verne was closed once we got through the main gate we had no idea where we had to go and finally we were able to find the separate entrance the staff upon entry were very cordialAs was the elevator operator. Once we sat down We were greeted by the one server who offered us a glass of champagne provided us with a wine menu and took our drink water I wait or subsequently came over took our order and explain the menu which was relatively self-explanatory. At no point where we asked if we would like anotherGlass of wine or some more water. Prior to the dessert course coming out we asked for coffee which we wound up never receiving. After dinner we were able to take a private staircase down to the viewing floor and walk around the tower and see the building With all the other people that came through the main entrance,that was the highlight of dinner. If you have anybody that you particularly dislike then recommend this restaurant to them. They will clearly be dissatisfied. If the view is what you're looking for just book 60 days in advance and you can go see the top of the Eiffel tower and do yourself a favor go eat somewhere else because the food was certainly subpar relative to every other place I've eaten in Paris. Please understand this is not an exaggeration and quite frankly has nothing to do with the cost as I truly believe a great dining experience is worth every penny unfortunately this was not that kind of experience. read more

This was my third time eating at Le Jules Verne, and it will absolutely be my last. The renovation looks nice. It is much brighter than the previous decor and sets a nice tone when you walk in however the materials look like they all came from Restoration Hardware. Nothing luxury about that. Upon entering and admiring the beautiful room, it was all downhill from there. When you are paying over €200 per person for lunch without beverages, you expect more. Before I go into some of the specifics as to why I think this place has lost its stars (they do not really advertise but they do not have any Michelin stars...) I want to say that the experience did not feel special at all! Aside from the fact that you get to cut the line of everyone waiting to go to the Eiffel Tower and the views are spectacular... the rest was really not great. If it was not for the newly renovated room and the view I would probably give it 2 stars. 1. We arrived about 25min before the rest of our party. No one greeted us after we sat at our table, did not ask us if we would like a drink past water while we waited, nothing. 2. There is no "bread service" - instead they drop a bread basket on the table and expect you to pass it around. 3. Getting a somm to take our wine order was a chore. They often did not refill our wine glasses and they did not even pour a glass for the individual at our table who tasted the first bottle of wine (we had three) 4. We were often passing the water bottle up and down the table (there were 7 of us) bc no one came by to refill the water glasses. I do not mind this at a casual cafe, but when you are paying these prices it is not acceptable. 5. The food was not great. We had one langoustine dish that was better than average but the rest of the dishes were very average 6. There were no mid-courses or "gifts from the chef" like most tasting menus. We ordered the 5 course menu, and that is what we got. One course came with a jelly in a cup that was truly awful. 7. Lastly, my largest complaint of them all, they no longer enforce a dress code. Guest entered the restaurant in shorts, t-shirts, sneakers, wearing backpacks, jeans. We almost felt silly for wearing blazers. Their website states: "Our dress code is smart casual, however we do not oblige our guest to wear a tie or a jacket. Sportswear (such as t-shirts, shorts, trainers etc...) are not accepted." Wish they would enforce this. Le Jules Verne must be grateful they have the location and view on their side because otherwise this restaurant would tank. There are too many amazing restaurants in Paris to waste your money here. Our bill was over €2,000 Euro for the 7 of us with three moderately priced bottles of wine, which we expected, but we also expected much more in terms of food and service. PS- staff is not an issue. There is one staff per guest (almost) and most of them just stand around. read more

Overall, I was underwhelmed by this restaurant. I think the price tag and appeal have more to do with the location than the service and cuisine, turning it into a solid tourist trap. Our experience began with a freezing wait as the restaurant opened late and there were no interior waiting spots. Then the desk staff seemed as qualified as any local Applebee's. A dress code was not enforced, so there were plenty of jeans and t-shirts around us on our visit. Once in the restaurant, there were a LOT of staff to lead you around, and there was the pretense of a seat for your purse and a sommelier. But the Som only knew wines, and the wine list was limited - they were stumped by our questions on local spirits. We had the 5-course tasting menu: the plates are very small servings with a mousse of some sort on 3 out of 5 plates. The flavor was light on every plate; only the caviar dish was memorable. I had a chicken main course: it was cone shaped and consistent, like processed chicken. If you enjoy farm-to-table, the processed consistency and unnatural shape were disconcerting. The water was heavily controlled: We were given a bottle of water for the table set far away from us, but no one came to refill our water glasses. When my husband tried to use it, servers ran from the wings to take it physically from him. Then they only refilled my glass with about two fingers of water. When that ran out, we were both out of beverage and out of water, and nothing was ever offered again. I did not like the dessert at all, probably because it had hazelnut and I'm not a fan. Then in true European fashion, we waited with an empty table and empty glasses for the check for some time until we eventually flagged down a server for our check. The chefs were Michelin-starred, but the management of the dinner and the food were lackluster. Finally, the restrooms were a mess, with wet services around the sink and toilet. I ended up setting my bag on a dry spot on the floor near the door. The restrooms in the tour's second floor were better maintained. Overall, I just expected better. read more

This was our first visit to the Le Jules Verne Restaurant. The dinner was a gift from my sister for our 25th Anniversary. We had reservations at 8:00 in the evening. Our taxi dropped us off at the private entrance to the restaurant and we were escorted every step of the way up to the restaurant and to our seat. I am afraid of heights but I did not feel any anxiety in the restaurant. We had no less than 6 waitstaff attending to us and our sommelier was excellent and helped us choose a nice bottle of wine (not included with our dinner cost) which complemented our dinner perfectly. We had a seven course meal that included crab, cauliflower, langoustine, cod, farmhouse chicken, raspberry and chocolate. Each meal had amazing flavor and depth of character. We were told by a couple sitting next to us to eat slowly and enjoy the experience, which I highly recommend. During our dinner the Tower lights twinkled on the hour and we were able to enjoy it from inside. We finished our meal with a petit café. We were escorted to the toilets and escorted back down to the exit where they procured a taxi to return us to our hotel. I'll start this review with the good. The service was good, the chicken was great, and the view was fantastic. Michelin star yeah yeah all that jazz. Now here is what can be improved. What is the deal with all these foamy dishes? You have to try to ruin burrata. I had to scrape it off what I was eating because it was too disrespectful to the superior burrata that is littered around this city. Bring your glasses, the food is more to observe than to consume. Walking in you can tell it's more of a tourist place for rich Americans than actual cuisine. I want to be surrounded by people who speak in French about how beautiful the south of France is, not Americans talking about the various suburbs of New Jersey. Would've been better off ordering a kebab down the street and eating it off the Terrance of the tower and brown bagging some beers for my money's worth. This restaurant is perfect for clout chasing, not for experiencing what the city has to offer. You will find that on the street with everyone else.
