Came here lunch, the warm grain bowl was delicious and the perfect amount of food. The iced mocha, although had a lot of chocolate syrup around the glass lacked flavor. I felt really confused about ordering and got mixed directions upon my entry. I feel like this place isn't sure if they want to be a walk-up-and-order or a be-served-at-the-table place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe itself is very open and spacious and for the most part very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

FABULOUS. I mean, the food is amazing. The service was great - very attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant is pretty quiet, not too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ham and Cheese Croissant w/ Side Salad. Matcha with Oatmilk

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is lovely for brunch, with a quiet and classy vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Ham and Cheese Croissant and a Matcha Latte with oat milk. I was hoping to just get the croissant on its own, but it had to come with a side salad. The salad itself was interesting, just not exactly what I wanted early in the morning. Hopefully, they'll offer more side options in the future. Other than that, the croissant and matcha were delicious.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]First, this is apparently not the place to bring your computer, despite it being a gigantic coffee shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a weird setup. You order at the counter, but all of the tables are set with cutlery, and there are waiters mulling about and watching your every move.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had 3 waiters at once watching me drink my coffee, as if willing me to leave an empty shop that just opened. Second, it is stupidly expensive. I paid $9 for an oat milk cappuccino, and $6.50 for a cup of orange juice, both of which were completely average. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The room is very big and has a lovely vibe, but I would not recommend this to professionals or people that don't want to go bankrupt from a single beverage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Nah this ain't it. I walked by this place in hopes it would be a great place to work and hit the spot. Sadly I was mistaken. The service is cool but the food just not doing what it needs to do.

I decided to give this establishment a try. I went with the smoke salmon tartine as well as their tomato soup. The smoked salmon was ok but unfortunately their tomato soup wasn't well seasoned and tasted a little bland. I also got their green tea with Agave which I liked.

Food is ok at best. I really liked the chocolate chip cookie croissant, but the fruit tart, pear cardamom frangipane croissant, and fall style toast felt like they were made hundreds of miles away a couple days ago. It's DC, go to a local bakery where they make things in house with more friendly staff

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered the French cream donut as pictured, a giant chocolate chip cookie, a strawberry matcha latte. It was all very good. Service was great too.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute (light, airy) cafe with lots of seating and lots of baked goods.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was very attentive and the food was good, not great.

I was worried that the Belgian mocha was going to be a sweet drink but it wasn't. Very opposite from a hot chocolate drink and I like it. Nice choice for a cold day The cappuccino is also good but it doesn't taste strong enough for me. The good thing about this drink here is that it is not bitter unlike other cappuccinos I had.

Got the belgium mocha. It was smooth and creamy and not overly sweet and I loved it. The cappucino was pretty good as well Service is fast and friendly.

We were lucky enough to snag some goodies and got a bit of everything, we just weren't patient enough to wait to photograph everything. We did the Za'atar Gruyère Croissant, chocolate croissant, the cheese biscuit item they had (don't remember exact name) and the sfogliatelle. I'm in search of the best croissant in DC, so I regret not getting the regular croissant on this visit, but the chocolate croissant gave me an idea of what to expect. Buttery, flaky, crispy, with just the perfect amount of sweetness. The typical chocolate croissant was my personal favorite. When we asked what the most popular items were, we were surprised it wasn't the more classic bakery items, but we enjoyed what we tried. We want to go back soon to try some other items as well. My friend got a coffee and also enjoyed that! This is the perfect place to stop by for a treat if you make it in time!

All the pastry was delightfully flaky and appropriately filled. Pistachio croissant was dancing on the edge of being a bit too sweet but went very well with my latte. Latte and cappuccino were nothing to write home about, potentially underextracted as there wasn't too much flavor coming through. Totally inoffensive and wouldn't hesitate to get another espresso drink if we were grabbing pastries again. Nice quaint limited outdoor seating. Had a nice chat while we demolished our goods right out front. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff that knows how to move the line quickly!

I'm on a kick with trying new whole grains, wheat berries, etc. so this bakery was calling my name. I also loved that they offered some unique pastries that I hadn't seen elsewhere. We ended up picking out four of their pastries and coffee drinks to have breakfast on-site as a family. In our typical tradition, we cut everything into fourths and the whole family tries every pastry (everyone wins... ;). We thoroughly enjoyed both the savory and sweet (chocolate) options. I could see how this would be an acquired taste for some. I loved being able to peak into the kitchen to see the big oven and where all the magic happens. I also appreciated their sweet neighborhood location and the big windows offering lots of natural light. Overall, a positive and tasty experience.

Cardamom bun didn't really do it for us, but maybe it just isn't to our taste since I know it's a popular item here. Frittata was really nice, great flavor from the garlic especially! Whole wheat croissant was delightful, just added a little more nuttiness - definitely proof you can make a delicious whole wheat croissant! Excellent iced coffee and a solid latte. We'll be back to try some of the other pastries and gnab a baguette!
