But the chicken was juicy and the batter was crunchy. It came with a spicy mayo and chili-sesame salt. Honestly there wasn't enough of it at that price point. But it was good. The Stewed Pork Burger was good. The bao bun was crispy on the outside and the juicy stewed pork fell apart while eating it. I did love the Spicy Hot Oil Noodles. Its slightly different from the one I get all the time from Old Xian Foods. Whether they added black vinegar or something else, it was a bit more refreshing. Portion size is a fair. Not as big as other noodle places but if it means you can order a variety of items then it all works out. They do have dishes meant to share, such as the The Big Bowl Noodle for 2 ($27.99). It is a very impressive looking bowl. Over all this location was clean, the staff friendly, parking is abundant, and the food great! It does get busy around dinner time so if you have a large group be prepared to wait a bit. I know they were busy, but we were there first, didn't skimp on ordering a full meal and we were not dawdling. We had actually made a reservation. We will not be back for a while. Not enough peanuts, and no sauce. Without it, about 3.25 stars 7/10... *but* if you ask for the Spicy sauce (what I can only describe as a sweet srirarcha with a little heat), that changes everything. Then the noodles jump up to an 8.3/10 (4 stars). I wish these were soup based, but still good. The potstickers are very nicely done, but I'm not a fan of dipping these in the included vinegar. With no dipping sauce, I'd say about 3.75 stars (7.7 /10) but again, the spicy sauce to the rescue, brings these up to a very solid 8.2 (4 Stars again). Amazing considering how when Dinesty was a restaurant, their Potstickers were way too oily & greasy. Not anymore. Flavour could be more pronoucned though. Combo 1 Beef Brisket Thick Noodles in Spicy Beef Broth: 5 stars (ranges from 9/10 to 10/10, depending on visit). Absolutely crazy that we can get restaurant quality Ngao Lam Mein (Thick noodles with Braised Beef Briskit in Beef Broth) at a good court. The quality hasn't varied after many visits since opening in March 2025; usually we get a generous portion of beef Brisket (only 1 visit, we were given a smaller portion) and the quality of the beef is outstanding; I ordered beef Brisket at another noodle shop at the same Richmond Center good court, and it frankly was like comparing originals and knock offs. The flavour profile is spot on; heck this is better quality Ngai Lam Mein than most restaurants (although Memory Corner has a more complex broth). The Ngau Lam Mein combo also optionally comes with Taiwanese versons of Xiao Long Bao (Shanghainese Pork Soup Dumplings) Not quite as good as the potstickers with spicy sauce, but still about as good as you can get for non-Shanghainese restaurants. 4 stars (8/10), no extra sauce needed. Combo 6 Shanghainese Thick Pan Fried Noodles w/ Won Ton in Soup Surprisingly good, considering the Taiwanese interpretation of Shanghai Thick Noodles is usually either under flavoured or overly oily; thankfully neither was the case here. 8.5/10 (4.25 stars) The Won Ton were good, but not outstanding. 3.75 stars (7.9/10)-at least they weren't the all pork kind) Their Milk Tea is also excellent (light, not too creamy). 9/10. Spicy Won Ton w/ Potstickers (Friend Gyoza) combo The Spicy Won Ton are excellent (just the right amount of kick).
