Where to start with Le Thai. It one restaurant I can come to and count on its being delicious. Let me start because there's a lot to say lol . When I come here I always start off with multiple appetizers, which are the the spring rolls, crab rangoons, Thia style wings, waterfall beef and the pork belly. The waterfall beef is a must. The beef is super tender and tasty, it also come with a side of sticky rice which matches up perfectly with the juicy beef. The pork belly is always perfectly fried and the tamarind dipping sauce goes well with it. The wings are always crispy and delicious. The dragoons are great but sometimes I never taste the crab. One of the down sides of this dish. Short rib fried rice is also one of my favorites there. To top it off we get the awesome noodles as well. Of course we always have left overs for the next day. If you haven't been here yet definitely give it a go. You won't regret it read more

I haven't had Thai food in a while, so it's a bonus! I had the chicken pad thai, as well as a Thai iced tea. I went with level 2 spicy, and it was already quite spicy...so noted for next time. The pad thai was fine, but the noodles were overcooked. The Thai iced tea was really good though if you like the sweetness of tea! Service was excellent at the bar. Went to Le Thai last night and it was good. They don't do reservations for 2 people, so we had to walk in. When we arrived, we were told it was a 30 min wait. What they have was a little outdoor patio where you can order at the bar through a window, so we got some apps and drinks that way and had just sat down and got our table call. 30 mins was overestimated by far. It was probably more like 15 mins. First, the Tom Kha soup was excellent. Loved it. The spring rolls were ok. The dinner was also good. Unfortunately they didn't have red curry. The waiter recommended a mixed 3 curry blend. I didn't end up liking it as it tasted more like a green curry. The pad Kee Mao was better but also kind of ok. I think the spice level we got for the soup was low at 3 of 5 and the waiter discouraged us from getting 4 for the entrees, even though we expressed 3 not being enough. I think that makes a big difference. Hot sauces and all didn't really help. Overall it was still a good experience and we had a fun evening. Everyone was nice. I really enjoyed walking through the downtown area from Circa to this place. SO much happening and it was St Patrick's Day. I missed ordering the spicy eggplant as I had read a number of reviews for that. Rats, will have to try that next time... read more

The food took really long. A table seated before us got two dishes served before us. Our dishes took 30 minutes to come out. They are both fried dishes which one would not expect to take long. We asked close to 30 minutes of waiting how much long for food. They said kitchen was busy. Being that I am Hmong, I know how good papaya salad should taste like and this was not good. Wow, I'm picky and best Thai ever! We were hungry just traveling from Chicago to Vegas. Staying by Fremont Street, I saw great reviews for this place. Went with the highly recommended 3 Color Curry and Short Rib Fried Rice, both excellent! Also got the Tom Yum soup with chicken but the meat tasted a little old and chewy. So many other dishes I want to try, we might have to come back. Cute ambiance and friendly staff. Love both this spot and the sister Le Thai 2 location located a couple miles a way on W. Charleston Blvd - the short rib fried rice is one of my favorite meals whenever I come to Vegas! The main location is right on Fremont St., across 6th Street from the El Cortez. Stopped by on a Tuesday around 1 pm and it was very busy. They told me it would be a 30 minute wait for a table but, luckily, there were a couple of seats at the bar so I grabbed a spot there. Ordered my usual, the short rib fried rice at spice level 4 (fire). (Spice level 5, Thai Spicy, is the highest spice level.) Food came out in about 5 minutes. The fried rice is slightly on the expensive side ($16, which I guess technically probably isn't expensive for Vegas) but well worth it. Not too many places around where you can get RIB fried rice but this is one of them and the plates they make here are fantastic! Again, this is one of the best meals period you can get in Vegas so would recommend checking them out. Honestly can't speak to the other items on their menu because I love this dish so much. But the short rib fried rice here is up here with some of the best fried rice I've ever had. Le Thai also has a full bar which includes some local beers, like the popular Atomic Duck IPA. There is some sort of military discount but I can't speak to the details of that. Highly recommend!!! read more

Checkout Bangkok Street That Kitchen Street instead. Le Thai appears in several articles online such as Eater. There's Le Thai 1 and Le Thai 2. This one is located in Downtown Las Vegas. They don't take same day reservations and we walked by twice asking for a wait time which was either a 2 hour wait or no tables left for the night. On the third day, I ran in and asked if they had a table and someone said he had a table for two but I'd have to sit down right away, it could be gone and second. I ran back outside, parked the car and came back. A girl said the table was gone! Then the guy came and said it wasn't- those were some heated minutes right there, lol. We were also served by two waiters which was awkward because I am not sure who the tip went to. for 3/4 of our dinner it was one person and for 1/4 it was another person. The restaurant gives complimentary seasoned peanuts to start. We got the 3 Color Curry with shrimp which was just a hodge podge of all the vegetable they serve. It was a little under salted. We also asked for brown rice and got white rice. The Pad Kee Mow was over salted. The crab ragoons lacked crab and were small. The shape of them was unique though! The thai iced tea and thai iced coffee were amazing! We got one of each, the menu says they're $2.50 each but we were charged $5 for each. The waiter was kind enough to remove one but the menu should be updated because that's what's being advertised to customers. Most thai places offer similar things and the output is similar. Le Thai is GOOD but it's not GREAT. There is a false notion of elitism which I'm not a fan of. read more

Great restaurant with a vibrant location. Tried the Thai Coffee Martinez (twice), and it just didn't do it for me. They use tequila and Thai coffee, and using coffee rather than espresso just makes for a watery cocktail more often than not. The cinnamon garnish gives it a nice fragrance and it's usually on the boozier side. It's not terrible, just not the best, imo. Still worth a try. read more
