We had Ledo Pizza in Springfield and it's the best tasting pizza ever! The sauce is sweet, the crust is flaky (sort of like a pie) and the toppings are superb quality. The service at this location is outstanding and the manager is friendly and engaging w/ customers. You can tell they care because the staff is well trained and attentive. Having dined at other Ledo's locations over the years, I was thrilled to find out there was one opening in my neighborhood. I've eaten there quite a few times since they opened and haven't had any real complaints. While the staff are mostly young and inexperienced, they are pleasant and eager to please. The managers stay on the floor to monitor things and check in with diners to be sure everything is okay. Grace, one of the managers, impresses with her attentiveness to her duties. Prices are very reasonable for the fare offered. Outside dining is a deffinite plus too. read more

I'm from PG County originally and frequented the original Ledo Pizza in the 70s and 80s. I live in Springfield now and was thrilled to see a Ledo franchise appear and can attest that this location is every bit as good as the original. We've been to this one at least half dozen times and the food is consistent. If you've never been to a Ledo, know that this pizza is unlike any other. Very thin, cracker like crust and the sauce has a different taste that's hard to explain--sort of sweet. They used smoked mozzarella that is so much better than the white rubber of regular mozzarella. Give a try the half-baked pizza, where you take it home half cooked and you finish it off in you oven. It's so cripsy and hot out of the oven, just like when you eat in restaurant. read more

So impressed with the way this Ledo's is run. Staff is the best. Friendly - really friendly not fake friendly. Dined in last week. Clean Clean Clean ! It was a little later and the waitress behind us moved the her table out to clean and graciously asked us if her cleaning bothered us. Tonight ordered take out. This Ledo Pizza location has becomes our hangout spot for Happy Hour and after work activities. Their Pizza and appetizers are pretty tasteful. Its not the cheapest happy hour in town but it has a good selection of craft beers. Their trivia night and half-off bottle of wine on Thursday is a big plus. read more

My family and I went to Ledo's over the weekend. The service was great but it took a long time to get our food. My husband and I ordered a Steak & Cheese sandwich. It was amazing. Probably the best sandwich I've had in a long time. Would definitely eat here again. read more

We tried the Springfield Ledo's 2 weeks ago, as a neighbor told us it was under new ownership and to check it out. We went on a Saturday afternoon and decided to sit in the back bar area to watch some of the basketball that was on. Our server greeted us right away and our drinks were brought right out. We ordered sausage and pep pizza. The new owner stopped by our table to introduce himself and chat for a moment, he was welcoming and friendly. The whole time we were there I could see him helping out all over the restaurant in every capacity. I really liked that - not above doing any of the work you ask your employees to do. That really made an impression on me. The pizza was excellent - there's really nothing like the sweet sauce they use! :) The Ledo's menu has really grown since last we went to one. We will be back to try many of the other items, and will definetly do that at the Springfield location! read more

My family went to the West Springfield location on 11/23/16. We were a party of 6 and arrived at 5:35. The main dinning room had approximately 3 tables, however it appeared there were many take out orders. Our server was new, however was very nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, most of our order was wrong and arrived after 50 minutes of arriving. One meal was never placed. The waitress was very apologetic and admitted to making some of the mistakes, but also explained that the kitchen was backed up. We asked to speak with the manager, who didn't come out for 20 minutes. When the manager did come out, he was rude and disrespectful. He walked away from us and while he apologized for the mistakes, he was uninterested in listening to our concerns. He comped our meal which we appreciated, however seemed agitated in having to talk with us. While comping the meal fixed the immediate issues of the evening, his poor and apothetic costumer service has ruined any future patronage from us in the future. read more

Look, first up, this is not "proper" pizza. I grew up in NY, went to college in Chicago. I've been to Italy. I know that real pizza does not have a flaky, pastry-like crust, sweet sauce or provolone cheese. However, the crust-tomato sauce-and cheese thing that Ledo serves really tastes good. I'd never take someone here for "superb pizza," nor would I seek this place out if I didn't live in the area. But I bring these square pies home often. The toppings are fresh (no, the mushrooms are not canned, believe me I know the difference). I think the salads are quite good also, especially the spinach based ones. The meatball sub was mediocre, but not terrible. It's a little neighborhood place with a comfy bar in the back and friendly help (I don't know where the complaints about that are from). No, it's not "legitimate" pizza, but if you can get past that give it a try. It's MUCH better than places that try to make something resembling NY pizza and end up with something unpalatable, much better than the Greek-type "pizza" that seems to be standard around here. read more

All good things must come to an end, I guess. We have eaten here numerous times and I would have given Ledo's either 3 or 4 stars. The food is still great, never had a bad meal here. But, tonight, a Wednesday night, my wife and son had terrible service. This is not usually the case, but when it's this bad, it's often a sign that management is not paying attention. They sat for 10 minutes on a slow night before a waiter showed up. The waiter, Patrick, was not welcoming, brought the drinks and ran away. Finally, they got to place their order. Getting the check was also a challenge, even though the manager was strolling up and down the aisle, oblivious to the poor service. The waiter never checked in to see how dinner was, or whether drinks needed refills. So, now Ledo's can now follow the shameful list of slipshod establishments that populate the West Springfield/Burke area. Probably will be awhile before we try them again. read more

The pizza is delicious...when it's what you ordered. I ordered online and went in to pick up my pizza. The girl up front seemed as if it were her first day. It wasn't. Even the manager didn't seem to really have things together though. When my order was incorrect, I was told they'd remake it. (After asking if I just wanted it like it was.) I left and returned to see that the correct toppings were added to the original pizza. They never remade it but had what looked like microwaved topping thrown on top. I reminded them that they'd promised to remake it. They assured me that it would be put right in. It wasn't. Quite some time later they finally brought out a remade pizza. I told them I needed my cold food from the counter that had now been sitting there for over an hour. The manager said ok and handed it to me. No real apology. No discount. Nothing but a pizza I waited an hour and a half for and food that sat in their counter for an hour while they did all of this. read more

Been a fan of Ledos for years and usually frequented the Falls Church or Fairfax locations - but they weren't that convenient to home. So I was pretty excited when the signs went up announcing the new Ledo's in Springfield - and even more so when we found out that one of the new managers was Grace from the Falls Church staff as she had always provided great service a the Falls Church location. We've easily been to the Springfield Ledos a dozen times in the last few months since it opened - and the wait staff seems to settling in. Mostly a young group but at least they are working - and the managers while carefully watch the floor and customers step in quicking if needed. LOVE the pizza and other entries that I've tried. Great addition to the West Springfield are. Can they get crazy busy at times - sure. So do tons of other places and that's usually a sign that plenty of people who have found something they like.. read more
