I have eaten at this Ledo's many times. I have always had a decent experience there. However, a colleague and I went there for lunch today. The guy behind the counter acknowledged us as we walked in and said hello. There were only 2 other tables in the place that had anyone sitting at them. I always forget this place exists. We usually do take out. The Baby Q chicken pizza is soooo good! They do not skimp on the super crispy bacon. My kids love the bacon and cheese fries. Pre Covid we would occasionally dine in. The dining room is certainly outdated and in need of an overhaul. There is a quaint small bar in the back. Don't have room for dessert? Wow, incredible pizza! This was a surprisingly great find. Pepperoni pizza was maybe the best I've had, plus we tried a couple of other kinds. Came here because I had down time waiting for a delivery. My first Ledo experience was positive. Walked in, greeted promptly, and allowed to seat myself. My waitress quickly appeared and took my order. Sweet Baby Ray's bbq wings, pineapple & ham pizza (8 in), and a sweet tea. Meal came out quick and was great. Pizza dough was very light and airy, ham and pineapples were fresh and plentiful. I could only eat 4 slices. The wings were jumbo, as advertised, and were hot and so good! Each wing was moist and the bbq sauce was a great accompaniment. I'll definitely have to come back and try one of their specialty items. My server, Ashley, was outstanding. You call this customer service? No, not even close. Called in a take-out order of Ledo's new Mushroom Ravioli around 5 PM, picked it up at 5:27 PM, got home at 5:50 PM. When I opened the bag, what did I find? Two order of classic CHEESE ravioli. Did a double take and check my bill. Nope, I order class mushroom ravioli and got cheese ravioli. What a buzz kill. Called the restaurant a few minutes after 6 PM and asked to speak to the manager. After a few minutes on hold (not bad), I was told the manager was unavailable and asked if he could call me back. No problem, left my name and phone number. It is now 8:30 and no call back. They can not be that busy on a Tuesday night. Strike 1: Cooking staff does not know the difference between mushroom and cheese ravioli. Strike 2: Manager too busy to take a call from a customer. Strike 3: Manager does not call back a less than happy customer. If I could leave zero stars, I would have. Too bad I paid cash. This was not the first time that I had indulged in the awesome pizza that have here. Tonight we ordered the very large Italian Red pizza. It included a special type of pepperoni, tangy banana peppers, and salami of all things. I have to say that I was pretty filled up after only three slices. My girlfriend ordered a nice salad as well, and the portion was generous for that as well. This place definitely should be classified as one of the best pizza places in town! Had a moment of self-awareness as I started this review. I am a NY Pizza snob. Any serious pizza lover starts with NY pizza in mind. This is not NY Pizza - so just put that thought away. It's like comparing M&Ms to Godivas. But when you're in the mood for an M&M, or rather a decent slice of flaky crusted pizza with a slightly sweet sauce, this stuff is surprisingly addictive. In fact, we couldn't wait for Ledo's to open again in Burke, after a long absence following the demise of Burke Station Restaurant (still miss that toy train). Maybe it's the small square slices. You pick one up and it's gone in three bites - well that doesn't count as a slice, I think I'll have another. And another. Maybe just one more. Oops - who finished the large pizza that was supposed to be enough for leftovers? And the generous toppings - did you ever think a pizza could have too much pepperoni? (Don't tell my cardiologist about the pepperoni). Anyway - great neighborhood pizza place, if you haven't tried it suspend your disbelief, and your NY pizza snobbery, and enjoy. read more

Ok so I put four stars because I see potential here. The menu is great, the food is great, the bar is great. The ability to take-out is great and I love the desserts. But they've just opened and it's clear they're having a tough time working out all the kinks. They have a very young staff and they are so busy (Springfield's great about supporting local businesses and franchises), that it's easy for orders to get messed up and servers to forget something. Our server tonight had 2 tables outside and 4 inside. As a former server, that is just unfair. And we all suffered for it. Details unecessary but the manager invited us back for a free 18" pizza, which we appreciated. It was nice that he acknowledged their weak spots and said they're working on it. So be patient and give them a few more weeks to get used to the demand because I really think it'll be worth it. read more

We have been to this Ledo's several times over the past 2-3 years and have enjoyed the food. However the last 2 times we have gone, I have noticed that the service and the cleanliness of the restaurant is going down. Admittedly, one night we went when it was very crowded, but the surprising thing was that many of the people had not been served and many of them had been waiting for quite a long time. They seemed short on staff and very slow to take orders. After 20 minutes of waiting to have our order taken we waited another 30 for the food. We asked about it several times. Many others were doing the same. An African American family next to us had been there when we got there and they hadn't even gotten water until after we got ours. The excuse was they were short a cook. In any case, we were nice when expressing our disappointment and got our food after that. But the couple I mentioned next to us was still not served and when they saw we'd gotten ours first, they were very upset and got up and left. I"m sure the impression they got was not good. Yesterday we went in for a late lunch around 1:30. Many people in the bar area, but where we were, there were very few. Tables sat dirty, trash on the floor and believe it or not, clean snack dishes with napkins on top were on the end of each table amongst the debris. One girl came to clean and simply cleaned the part of the table that had been occupied by used plates and she wiped around the clean plates sitting there. I have never seen this before! Our server must have been new, and even though the place was not that busy, he was very friendly and polite, yet slow, forgetting the eating utensils, the straws, and brought me the wrong salad! I kept it anyway, and sadly found the lettuce to be tough and not well prepared. I am sorry to have to write this review, because it has always been a very good restaurant and very timely in all aspects of dining when we went there. Maybe it was just a bad day, or the wrong time, but I do believe that dirty tables, trash on the floor, and uncleaned carpets,even in the walking path, should be constantly kept clear of any debris. I may try them one more time to see what happens. And when I do I hope it will be better. I will come back and write a better review. read more

My wife and I were craving pizza and I hear about Ledo on the radio and figured, why not? This being said, we looked up the menu and then I headed down the road to place my order and wait for my pizza. I ordered some toasted ravioli to start off with (delicious!!!!), an 8" Roackstar, 14" white pizza, & a 14" pepperoni and onion. The crust is unique. I didn't think my wife would like it but she loved her pizza. The white was a little bland to me but still good. I did enjoy the Rockstar but I have to admit, the pepperoni and onion was the best of the bunch. I experienced great service and the food was very tasty. Yay for a new place to eat in Springfield that's not fast food! I liked the set up of this Ledo's. You walk in and seat your self. There are tables near the TVs in the front and their bar is in the back. I'm surprised how many people they seem to be able to fit for a small space. Had the Rockstar pizza which was delicious. The pizza is great- service is terrible. I called in a to go order for two half baked pizzas- at other locations this typically takes around ten minutes. They said it would take 15, which was fine. 35 minutes later I am still waiting in line for my pizzas. The staff is hardly present - they keep disappearing into the back. Twice I asked them to check on the pizzas and they keep saying "it's coming out soon". I watched a table be sat and not attended to for over 15 minutes. I highly recommend the pizza but you're probably better off at the falls church location. read more

Good pizza, but I'm paying them close to 30 dollars for a pie and I can't substitute one vegetable for another vegetable due to a food allergy? The Food here is generally decent. I like the "rectangle" Pizza and they don't overpower it with lots of anything so the flavor is good. The sauce is a bit on the sweet side which is nice, the calzone can be doughy so tell them to bake it a few tics longer. The toppings are good flavor and seem to be fresh. All in all its a very solid 3 stars and for me, there is no such a thing as a 5 star chain restaurant and my 3 stars is pretty good. We order from this location every week (it's the best in the area). The pizza is always perfectly cooked and the staff is super friendly. They do curbside and I am really impressed with how safe they are. Uh- yeah. My son & I went to PTA event and their children's pizzas were gross and I have a super picky eater there was garlic and herb painted on the crust and he flipped his lid. Went here with a friend yesterday for lunch, around 12:30-1pm, not crowded. Seated ourselves, waiter arrived promptly for drink orders. We are a chatty couple, so we needed another "several minutes" for a look on the menu. Waiter seemed to understand our time frame, didn't keep coming to ask "are you ready yet". I ordered mozzarella sticks and broc/cheese soup, plus a personal pizza. Friend got a huge lunch salad. Sticks were on point, soup was really delicious, and I didn't have room for the pizza, so took it home. Friend devoured salad, but had some left for take-home. Went to the bar for the second time since they opened. Justin the bartender was great. Got to try several of the different microbrews before deciding on what to drink. If it ended there we're talking 4.5 - 5 stars. Food.....got the south side cheese steak. Never thought an Italian rest. Could screw up a cheese steak. It was like licking salt. I've had way worse and this isn't a bad pizza in the sense but I could list 10 places that have better in this area. The service was ok, not too bad, not too good. The pizza just disappointed me. I've had it multiple times and each time, it's just meh. Not too bad but not worthy of the money you spent when you could find cheaper local pizza that is better. We ordered take-out. The cheese and pepperoni pizza was fine, for a thin crust pizza. Personally, I am not a fan of mushrooms; however, since members of the family like them, we ordered half with fungi. Unfortunately, they use canned mushrooms. What a surprise this Ledo location is. I've had both the pizza and various sandwiches here on five different occasions, and I've always come away satisfied. If you don't know the deal about the pizza at Ledo's, it's square, the crust is thin, and the sauce is sweet. I used to hate the stuff as a kid when my family would order it for pizza night, but as I've gotten older I can't get enough of it. Give the pizza a try if you want to try something new! The sandwiches at the Burke location are a lot better than they have any right to be. Seriously. It might just be me, but the turkey bacon ranch on ciabatta here is really, really good. Staff and service are good. Never have had any problems with wait times and everyone is friendly. Conclusions: -If you like your pizza sauce sweet, give Ledo a try. -The sandwiches here are great. Always a fan of Ledos, and I like this location better than most. Lots of seating outside and inside and nice employees. The best deal is the huge cheese with extra ledos sauce. Feeds everyone and the cheese is great. The veggie lover is good too and definitely doesn't skimp on the veggies. The cannonball with the huge delicious meatballs and large chunks of mozzarella was great. I'm not a fan of their weird thick pepperoni which is annoying because that's the best pizza topping. Also the prices can get a bit high if you add lots of toppings or specialty pizza. So if feeding the kids maybe a cheaper option is better. read more

I think they've been open a little over a month now and the service and getting food out correctly and within a reasonable time is getting better, still a ways to go, but they are definitely improving rapidly. Our second visit which was the first Friday they were open we got 50% off the tab due to the long wait. We didn't even have to ask, after we were closing in on an hour from our order being placed the manager came by and explained the kitchen had gotten overwhelmed and told us something would be taken off the bill. (I think the kitchen, if they'd have gotten orders correct in the first place wouldn't have been overwhelmed with making orders for the same customers two or three times, but that was then.) I'm not a fan of this style of pizza, but the other menu items are really good. I've already eaten here about five times (it's nearby) and the salads, which I usually order, are always fresh and tasty. I am a big fan of the ciabatta combos -- the chicken parm ciabbatta sandwich with a side ceasar salad is likely going to be my go to. The meal-size salads come with delicious garlic toast triangles. The dessert menu looks really yummy, but we haven't ordered any sweets yet. The wait staff, as has been mentioned, is quite young and need to find the delicate balance between over-friendliness and just-right attentive service. I am sure it will come. Food comes out semi-correct more often than not still but they are quick to make things right. The place is usually busy and has a nice buzz already. We've been waiting a while to find a nice, comfortable place to sit down for pizza. Normally when I want pizza, we settle for delivery....or DiGiorno. We ordered the barbecue chicken and the sausage apple - both were good. I think they could use a higher quality sausage and remove the peels from the apples. The BBQ sauce was delicious. I love the crackery crust - it makes the pizza. The other thing I noticed was that they sort of put way too much bacon on both pizzas. Some might praise that, but I thought it was a bit much. We got to sit in the round corner booth in the bar, which was great because we wanted to watch the Olympics on the big screens they have. The seats were comfortable and stylish - leopard print!! My go-to pizza place is just pizza hut, for $10 large, anyway you want it. I never really wondered if pizza could get any better than that. Then steps in my boyfriend who loves pizza and Ledo, so we made it a quick date night on a busy work night. We placed an order for a small Buffalo pizza, a small Meats Lover and an order of their Baked Cheese Fries with Bacon for pick-up. The Cheese Fries were great because they used waffle fries, which meant you could pick up more cheese with each bite. What I really hate is when there is only one layer of cheese on top of your fries by the time you get to the bottom, the rest of the fries are just naked and plain. But Ledo also uses this provolone and a cheddar cheese sauce. Their cheese sauce covers all the fries and doesn't harden by the time you get home too if doing carry-out unlike just melting regular cheese. The boyfriend was concerned at how little his pizza was, thinking this was not going to fill him up. Surprisingly, we were both stuffed and I still had leftovers of my pizza for lunch tomorrow. My Buffalo pizza was tasty. I even liked the thin crust (I'm really a carb-loving-chicago-deep dish pizza kind of girl). The boyfriend's Meats Lovers was exactly that, covered with think pieces of sausage and meatball, with thick slices of pepperoni. We ordered 3 items. 2 pizzas and an order of fries. You would think it was a simple order but apparently not. We asked for the pizza to be well done which is one of their options. This was not something especially ordered but an off the menu item. We also asked for light sauce. What we got was 2 soggy pizzas overloaded with sauce and no fries. Poor service poor quality and waste of time and money. I will say that we usually go to the Falls Church location which has never disappointed. Would not recommend this location unless you are a glutton for poor service and poorer ( yes it's a word) food. Total disappointment! I have changed the rating from 1 to 3. The manager from this location reached out and tried to make things right. We did not accept the offer for free pizza from him because we did eat the food from their location and one poor experience should not cost them an entire meal. I came here for my 24th birthday with friends on a late Thursday dinner. When we entered, everyone was very friendly. These are all positive things about this ledos. 1: Place was very clean 2: Service was amazing EXCEPT we didnt get any utensils but that wasnt too bad. 3: They have a nice bar with good selection of beer and other alcohol. 4: The BBQ wings were the best BBQ wings we all have ever had. We also had the Salt & vinegar wings, which stated like salt and vinegar chips with chicken flavor. 5: The waitress was very nice. She came when she needed and wasnt always hovering over us. 6: I ordered a calzone while one friend had a stromboli, another had a apple bacon pizza and another had a shrimp salad.
