Just in one day, after getting my car off the ship and driving it about 5 hours to Las Vages, the AC blew warm. It was 110 degrees, and it was still hot in my tiny Toyota Corolla. Had to do something and fast. YELP to the rescue. Found Lee Auto with 4.5 stars that welcomed walkins. Rushed over there, and with a stroke of luck, they just so happen not to be busy. Told to Mike, my story (later found out it was Mr. Lee himself) and he agreed to look at my car. He told me there was a cost for the inspection, and if there is work to be done, that cost will be applied to the repair. I so agreed. Came back later and told me that the AC just needed to be service. What a relief, and it was under $200. Thank you, Mr. Lee. Pros: If not busy, he will take walk-ins. Price was fair and was willing to make the price of the inspection apart of the repair if needed. Cons: at that time. Couldn't find any. I'm just glad he wasn't busy. He looked like he was the only guy there, tho. Would I go back? Yes. If I was living there. Told my kid to keep Mr. Lee in mind for service and repairs. Not too far from UNLV.

To change the oil on a Mercedes Benz, you need to drain the oil out of the pan at the time of changing the oil in your car. But, a MB car requires emptying the oil of the engine and Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement. This technique demands expertise and expensive vacuum equipment, adding more to the total expenses. It takes 8.2 qts. Mike did it quickly and at a fair cost!

Do they accept GooglePay? Or Checks?

Can you fix a moonroof on a Kia Sorrento? Can you take my Carvana warranty? My top is open and not garaged, how soon could you fix it if yes?

This is a very small shop and I don't think the owners are on yelp to answer this. I highly recommend calling. He's always responsive when we call.

Sir mike! are you guys open saturday?

    They are only open M-F.

Does this shop do engine swaps?

sorry we don't. thanks for asking

To be fair, they did attempt to replicate the conditions, and I chose not to proceed with a full diagnostic at that time because I initially wanted a visual inspection first. After that inspection, I was quoted $1,800 for a compressor replacement by a technician named Gary. What concerned me was the level of confidence in diagnosing the compressor as the issue without a full diagnostic. From what I understand, and based on further research, it's very difficult to definitively determine that a compressor is the cause of a squealing noise without running proper tests under load and evaluating related components like the belt and tensioner. To be clear, I did decline diagnostics initially, but I was still reassured that the compressor was the issue, which didn't feel like a fully supported conclusion. I also looked into pricing, and while compressor replacements can be expensive, most estimates I found for Las Vegas are generally in the $700-$1,200 range (with some variation depending on the vehicle). That makes the $1,800 quote seem on the higher end, especially without a confirmed diagnosis. Part of me speculates if the high quote may partially due to me being a woman, however, I can't confirm this suspicion to be true. I did not move forward with the repair and will be getting a second opinion. I would recommend others ask for a full diagnostic and possibly a second opinion before agreeing to major repairs. After more research I'll be trying Busy Boots for the second opinion, as they have higher yelp ratings.

Called up and scheduled an appointment with Jon. Upon his arrival we just knew things were about to trend in the right direction. He has such an incredible personality, is patient and overall, has a down to earth demeanor that is a RARITY (and refreshing to see) in this city. After attempting to "kick" the starter and run diagnostics on the battery, it became evident that both needed to be replaced. The battery was only a few months old, but as is the case sometimes, there is a chance you might end up with a dud. Based on Jon's suggestion, we managed to get a replacement from the nearby auto parts store, and within a couple days, the starter replacement arrived, and Jon not only installed it but even helped change the oil in my mom's car as well and answer some of her questions and concerns. We will definitely continue to use, as well as recommend Jon to friends and family. Thanks Jon! BTW: The Rooster, with his leather jacket on, says hi. :D

New Location located right of…read moreModern Designs & More LLC/Floor Showroom off of Twain Ave (kind of behind Green Valley Grocery). They pick up their phones/text through phone. Our go to mechanic for everything from usual oil change, to complicated old issues where most mechanic will guess their work. At Tyler Express, they know what they are doing. And if they have to figure it out, I fully trust them in not trying to rip me off; they will explain what they feel they can control. We've been going since 2024; they moved location to 3915 W Twain Ave. I kept forgetting to create this review. - In the past, an oil change, oil filter would be like 15-20min for $30ish cash/zelle. - This visit we brought our own oil, oil filter, filters (cabin/engine), fuel system cleaner; and pay for labor. All of this + whole car quick check is 45min-1hr from $70. We already have our own oil due to needed to refill the Prius every so often. Otherwise, I don't think its an issue to just use their supplies? Waiting room is clean with comfortable new couches, coffee Keurig cup machine, etc. It has ac. You'll have to walk through the left door office, and it's in the back area of it. With this new location, you're like 6min walk away from many great places -- - Plaza with Golden Tiki (bars and food), - 99 Ranch Market and plaza, - Rio Casino Hotel, and - Take It Easy Roasters to morning/afternoon wifi/study/work on laptop from 8am-4pm (9min/0.4 miles stroll away) - Pop Café to afternoon/evening wifi/study/work on laptop from 2pm-10pm M-Sat (13min/0.6 miles stroll away). Google Maps makes this place pretty difficult to find. DIRECTIONS: 1. Google to Green Valley Grocery, then 2. drive to the right of it where Modern Designs & More LLC/Floor Showroom is. 3. Tyler Auto is connected to, and located as the right side attached building opening. Payment, they need a full name attached for the bill. QR code scan and pay via zelle. ------------------ Old LOCATION Draft review I forgot to post: Kenny is SUPER DUPER knowledgeable about old Prius!! And cars in general!! My Prius tour 2008 has gone through so many random issues over the years. Reddit to youtube can offer a lot of different solutions too for these scenarios. You'll learn a lot of tips and more about your car.... Opening trunk hatchback from the inside of the car, make the dashboard screen appear when needed again, etc.. Towing: - We called Tyler Auto and they were willing to take us in. They took in our car from being towed for simple stupid mistake by us (no gas, we have a dashboard blank out issue/typical issue for old Prius in hot climate places). - Towed our car in. Apparently a lot of cars get towed here. Alot of the Vietnamese restaurant owners bring their car there which is a good sign to us. - Tow person's tip: Police tow will cost around $500 where cops also get a cut from it. Don't take a Police tow unless you have to. Cash or Zelle is best. They have QR code to pay.
