I ordered a combination (#1) banh mi with extra pate, five pork egg rolls, and a large iced coffee. Took a long time just to make a banh mi. I was the only one in there besides a couple who had already gotten their food. I took my food home and proceeded to eat. The pate, which I normally love, tasted weird and off putting. First time I've ever experienced this. Also, they put in this huge mint or basil leaf inside the sandwich, was nasty. I removed it. They could at least chop it up a couple of times so I don't feel like I'm eating a piece of brocollini!!! Very dissapointed with the sandwich. On the other hand, the egg rolls and coffee were great (1 star added), and the girls working there were cool (1 star added). We put in a large order for 5 sandwiches and egg rolls over the phone. They were done very quickly and ready right as we arrived for pick up. The staff is very friendly and clean. All of the sandwiches were a big hit for our friends that had never tried Lee's before (I know this is hard to believe). Smh I ordered a large ice coffee for $5.35 and the lady gave me my order but had so much ice on it. I ask if I can have less ice and she said she only fills the cup for 1/3 of it with coffee and she just tops it off with the ice . The bad thing was she didn't even fill it all the way full . I work from home on weekdays so I have to be mindful of the time I take for lunch. With that said, I came here because it's the closest Lee's Sandwich to me. The baguettes are never fresh, so any baguette sandwich I order just sucks. Service on other days in the past were okay, but on days when the male and female Asian workers are there, service kind of suck. I'm Asian myself so I have nothing against Asians; I'm just stating the facts based on my personal experiences there so far. The Asian female who took my order today seemed annoyed of me (the customer). The lychee smoothie she made was watery (I've ordered a lychee smoothie from here before and it was never watery!). I also ordered 10 egg rolls; she put them into a brown bag and straight threw the sauce containers that's been sitting out on the counter into the brown bag with the egg rolls! And she didn't give me a plastic bag to put the greasy brown bag of egg rolls in. How TF was I to transport these egg rolls without getting the grease all over me or my car?! Luckily the male Asian worker came to save the day by giving me a plastic bag. I don't know if I'll come back here again. I didn't die today, but I might get a much worse food-borne illness next time. One star for the other non-Asian employees who worked there the few times I came in the past. They can't help that the ingredients for the sandwiches sucks, but at least they didn't make it seem like I was a nuisance. Breakfast and lunch are quick fixes on the go. When you order a baguette sandwich they will skimp on the protein every time just like other reviews say. You'll be biting into more bread and veggies than meat. Also, expect the roof of your mouth to be scraped from biting into the bread. You can ask for veggies on the side. I got a Thai tea once and it was the worst Thai tea I've ever had, it's all powder and the smoothies are powder too. Do not order spring rolls, since it's not their popular choice they use old lettuce and it's not good at all. Only consistent item is the Vietnamese coffee but if you want more bang for your buck then ask for less ice. If you're in a rush, call in to order instead of ordering through GrubHub because it will be cheaper. read more

I came here to order two drinks. There was only one guy up in the front who took our order. It took him ten minutes just to figure out how to enter it into the computer Until he had another guy help him out and then we waited thirty minutes for two smoothies to be made. Mind you no one else was in the store. We had one peach smoothie and one green tea smoothie both with boba. The boba was the worst thing I've ever tasted. It was super hard and not sweet at all. This is what my GREEN TEA FRAPPE looked like in the picture. Literally just ice and milk not even blended well with rock hard boba. (I realized it wasn't fresh when I got to work, a lil stale but i have to admit it was still tasty). Location is small but, very clean! We stopped by the shop around 6pm on a Tuesday and it was completely dead. It is tucked away in a corner of a small business center next to a FedEx Office store. -Only a few tables to sit down and eat your meal. We ordered an iced coffee and some egg rolls which they were making. Score! Got the coffee very quickly and we waited for the egg rolls for a little over 5 minutes, worth the wait. -Staff is friendly and attentive. It is a good location to just pick up and take out. Well. When I think of Lee's sandwiches, I think of a very clean restaurant. The location in Orange and even Anaheim off of Euclid ave are really clean and kept up. Going into this location.... The floors are always dirty. Dust and other fun stuff around the window ledges. Very small area for chips, and they have "cold" drinks left out in this tub with melted ice. Also it always looks weird to me when there is no food in the display "case" area. There is usually fried chicken and egg rolls displayed for purchase, but there is usually just a couple egg rolls sitting in there. Last but not least regarding the bad, there are always flys in there because they probably do not want to run the air and leave the doors open all day. Customer service is good at this location though, and the food is up to par with the other locations I believe. 3 stars until you decide to deep clean after you guys close on a daily basis. Mop floors, dust, de-grease. Everyday! If this location cleaned as much as they tried to up sell you on more meat or extra items, you would be able to eat off the floor! read more

I like Lee's. I like the food, their coffee is great and now there's one around me so I have been going there regularly. For some reason the menu here isn't standardized so you won't be able to order certain drinks (ex milk tea) and I don't know the extent of this mismatch. Their Lee's Coffee has so much ice that a large feels the same as a small so ask for light/no ice if you can a or you will be paying for frozen water with a side of coffee. On the positive side their breakfast items are really good and I would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a quick breakfast. The staff, while friendly, is a mess. They don't know what was in your order and aren't coordinated at all. Id attribute this to a new location but this is WAY worse that I expected. I'll update my review in a month or two but for now if you have the chance to go to another Lee's while this one is still in its infancy I'd say do it. If this is close to your office and you want a coffee/breakfast its alright. Been to this location several additional times. Service still awful, coffee still 90% ice. read more

I'm not a fan of Lee's Sandwiches because their baguette get rock hard in just a few hours as opposed to other banh mi places. However, I always go to Lee's Sandwiches for the iced coffee and hands down its the best coffee and is so much stronger in my opinion. The coffee from anywhere is great and all tastes the same! I also prefer this location than the one in Stanton--the workers are so nice and always give exceptional service. Super friendly and fast! I will definitely be coming back more often! read more

If you see a young asian kid working here, typically on the weekends, just turn around and walk out. It always seems that baguettes are never ready when this kid is working. I walked in while he was mopping the floor. He stopped, disappeared to the back, then 5 minutes later reemerges no doubt dragging his feet. I got a tremendous amount of attitude to the point where I had zero doubt he wanted to fight with me. REALLY? Shaking his head at me, one word and I was ready to go at it. As I was walking out, i saw the tiny little sign that masks are required. GROW UP DUDE! There were 3 of us in there. He never had the BALLS to say a word, i would have been like "oh I'm sorry" and went to my car for a mask. But the whole time all I could think of is what the hell is his problem and gave him attitude right back...jerk! He needs some serious human being training, forget customer service, he's not ready for that. His inability to communicate is a huge problem that will lead to legal problems for you and him exposing himself to physical harm. I hope he is a 3rd degree blackbelt with that attitude. The grilled chicken banh mi was ok.. but they gave me like 2 pieces of cilantro (wtf?!) and like 2 pieces of jalapeño.. As he's putting them in the cup holder he mentions how flimsy they are so he stacks two of the holders on top of each other. Then he fits all 5 coffees in the 4 slots (sticks one in the middle). And sure enough when I make a U-turn they all topple over. Brand new car (3 months old) now smells like ice coffee. All 5 cups fell over and the entire contents spilled. I tried calling them to let them know so they don't stack so many cups in one holder but their phone line is constantly busy. Ordered 2 vegetarian sandwiches, which are essentially vegetarian banh mi's. The baguette was fantastic but the filling could have been more and more sauce. Very little lemongrass flavor. Solved the hunger for a quick bite on the go. Their taro smoothie was great as it wasn't so sweet but it didn't have a lot of taro flavor. I was so excited to see that this shop was right by our hotel. As we drove by to check into our room, I had planned to grab a sandwich from here. On the menu it says 5.50 for a large triple shot,one person will charge you 5.50 but another person will charge you $8 for the same thing, it's easy to pocket the extra money when you ring it up the right way after.
