Really good. Very strong in flavor. More of an after taste but its super tasty and addicting.

This is, without a doubt, the worst Lee's Sandwiches I have ever visited. My appeal to Lee's is the promise of a superior bánh mì, specifically the freshly baked bread. While the bread may have technically been baked that day, the quality was severely lacking. The flavor was noticeably off, suggesting a recipe or process that is distinctly different--and inferior--to their other locations. The foundation of a great bánh mì was compromised. The issues didn't stop with the bread. The BBQ pork filling was surprisingly dry, contributing to an overall uninspired sandwich experience. I should have taken a clue from the unusual offerings: the presence of lottery tickets and a wide array of non-Vietnamese foods signaled that this location was not prioritizing its core product. Given the heavy foot traffic and surrounding businesses, this location has incredible potential. It's truly a shame they aren't capitalizing on it. A significant improvement in the freshness and flavor of their food would undoubtedly attract a much larger, more satisfied customer base. In short, I was hoping for better, but this visit was a total disappointment. I will absolutely not be returning.

They sell $6 for frozen bottle if their coffee that you can make 3 cups with. They have a website you can order from but they charge processing fee (+$1-2), I suggest you walk in and order so you don't waste the extra money. It's pasadena though so parking is rough but I walked my way there in the afternoon. Practically no one and service was fast.

Lee's sandwiches is a classic and never fails to disappoint. Sandwiches and coffee have always been consistent no matter what location I go to. The cashier was super friendly when I walked in. The interior was small but bright and clean. They have a lot of variety of drinks in their coolers. The menu is extensive and a variety of selections to choose from.

They offer the viral Biscoff and Banana Coffee here. :) They don't have it online. But they do have it walk-in. Very good!

I got the turkey and ham sandwich. The bread was fresh and was tasty. I ordered a vanilla latte. It was on the sweet side but didn't ask to make sure it wasn't. But the coffee taste was Fresh and I can taste it in the iced coffee. Thank you Lee's!

A relatively well-established Lee's Sandwich in the heart of Pasadena's E Colorado Blvd. I was impressed by the freshness and quality of the Banh Mi and pork pastries despite the relatively humble appearance of the store. The location is relatively convenient to my home but parking can be tricky, so recommend mass pick-ups and delivery when possible! Definitely hits the Banh Mi spot!

I was driving by with my mom after visiting a nearby botanical garden. We got 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks, and some croissants. The restaurant was very clean and they even had a large air conditioning/fan at the back of the restaurant so it was very cool inside. The sandwiches (barbecue pork and special) were very delicious. The baguette is very crispy and the meat is tasty, not too salty! The croissants were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My mom got an iced coffee and I got an avocado smoothie and they were very refreshing since it was over 90 degrees outside! When we came, there was a small line but the cashier was very fast taking everyone's orders and our food came out very quickly.

Think of it as a grilled onigiri, but made with sticky rice instead of regular short-grain rice. The rice is well-seasoned with plenty of flavor, while the filling reminds me of Vietnamese steamed rice cakes, making it both familiar and creative. The fresh spring rolls are made to order and taste incredibly fresh. I tried the nem, sautéed beef, and lemongrass chicken, and each had its own distinct flavor. They're generously packed with vegetables, making for a light yet satisfying meal. If I had one small complaint, it would be the dipping sauce. It's more tangy and savory than I prefer. Personally, I'd love a little more sweetness to balance the flavors. Overall, the food is fresh, unique, and well executed. I'd happily come back to try more of the menu.

There are plenty of other offerings in the area. I grew up with the chain and have tried various locations. Pho Banh Mi Che Cali generally promises a large selection of affordable various Vietnamese dishes at a super casual environment. No frills and amazing value. Unfortunately, I feel like this location is trying to do a lot of things. They offer Ramen or Chinese soups. There's so many "new item" signs and I really think they are losing their core identity. I'm getting off topic. I ordered the Pho with extra beef. I found the self-ordering kiosk to be easy to use. I was able to pay, grab a number and find myself a seat. While it wasn't a very clean place, it was fine. Where I was disappointed was when I tried the broth of my pho. I think Pho should have been a slam dunk for this restaurant. It's a staple to Vietnamese cuisine, so I'm sorry to report - I thought it was bland. I would say the worst pho in recent memory. The price starts at $12.99, so it's a tad cheaper than a normal sit down, but with the portions I got, i really think it isn't an excuse. I noticed others customers in the restaurant ordered Banh mi. Perhaps that's a better bet.

The vermicelli with nem nuong and egg rolls comes with a slab of meat and a whole egg roll. The bottom are the noodles and mix of veggie and herbs. The nem nuong is sweetened charbroiled pork that is grilled. Think of a sweet meat ball. The egg rolls are super crispy and filled with meat. The noodles go well with the fish sauce and there are a lot of veggies inside. The nem nuong coun is a spring roll that's wrapped in rice paper. It's a comfortable spot with padded banquettes or chairs at the tables, which feature chrome frames and (very good-looking) faux marble tops; along with white walls and light-colored wood accents, the owners have created a clean, simple, welcoming environment. The mood is jostled even further into a specific vibe of calmness with the carefully curated music being played: bossa nova covers of pop hits from bygone days (The Bee Gees' "More Than A Woman" and the Bee Gees'-written Streisand hit, "A Woman In Love" being examples), but it all works. The menu offers a varied selection of dishes from several Asian cultures, from Chinese Beef Rolls to Japanese noodles and soups to Korean Beef over rice. It's not a huge menu, but there's definitely enough there for everyone to find something interesting to eat. The food is all cooked in view of the customers by a staff of chefs working in a sparkling clean kitchen enclosed by windows, and the staff is uniformly friendly despite juggling a lunchtime crowd at the tables plus quite a lot of to-go orders. I tried 2 really enjoyable and satisfying dishes. Beef Rolls featured thinly sliced brisket rolled inside crispy fried crepes with scallion, cilantro and a touch of Hoisin sauce. The brisket had a mild but distinctive flavor that spoke of careful preparation, while the slightly astringent pop from the onions and herbs was a nice foil for the inherent fattiness of the fried crepes. The Hoisin sauce was very subtly deployed, lending tasty support without overwhelming everything else. I added some of the house chili oil for a little extra spice and peppery depth, but these well-made rolls were terrific all by themselves. It should also be noted that the portion is very generous, especially for the price ($12.80), and more than enough for 2 people (perhaps 4 people, if each has 1/2). My other dish was the Qinghai Clear Cold Noodle, a terrific-looking, and even better-tasting blend of thick, chewy noodles, fresh chopped garlic, veggies, tofu and chili sauce that's got a bit of heat but more so a pleasing depth of Chinese spices. This appetizer is packed with flavor and just happens to be Vegan (as are a number of menu items), so it can be enjoyed by anyone. All in all, this was a fantastic mid-week lunch that pleased the senses without breaking the bank, and I even brought some home for later. Do give this Noodle St. a try -- and if you're not in Pasadena, check their website, because they have 8 locations, with a 9th opening soon in Sherman Oaks.

The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the Korean beef. It was way too sweet and didn't really give Korean BBQ flavor. The meat seemed more steamed than grilled, and not even vinegar or chili oil could save it for me. Other than that, everything else was fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for.

It also comes with some popular Vietnamese veggies like lettuce, daikon radish, and pickled carrots. The chicken itself was soft, tender, and flavorful. Truthfully, this dish was mid compared to that of the shaken beef garlic noodles. It was also a pretty hefty portion of food. The shaken beef garlic noodles were hella fire. You would be remiss if you didn't order this, y'all. That's like going to Disneyland during Halloween season and NOT taking a photo with the gigantic ass pumpkin. Tsk tsk tsk. Anyways, this dish had thick, incredibly tender, mouth watering, and juicy cuts of wok-seared beef tenderloin and buttered onions served over generous portions of al dente savory, garlic-loaded noodles. As a fan of garlic and onions, this dish hit the spot. Also, this was a "wet" noodle style rather than a dry stir-fry. The generous portion sizes make it a heavy, highly filling meal. Staff: So I arrived earlier than my friend. They technically were not supposed to seat me until my friend arrived, but because the restaurant was pretty empty when I arrived, they told me to sit down at a booth to wait for my friend. Thanks, Mariska. She was very welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.
