Came here during lunch time with the family (9 of us) They sat us right away outside. Our server was very friendly and sweet ( I forgot her name-- I'm sorry!) We first ordered a round of piña coladas with floaters for my birthday round. Delicious, not too strong but not too weak. Along with spinach artichoke dip- they were creamy-- I would get it again. We ordered two pies, the wise guy and the vodka pie. The wise guy was my favorite overall-- the chicken and hot peppers were flavorful. I did like the vodka pie too, the sauce was great. I love the vibe of this place with the loud music & how guys will stand on a chair to sing Taylor Swift or Celine Dion, it's an absolute blast, even though it gets wayyyy too packed to the point where you're on top of each other. The service was great except for an "older" bartender named Drew, who felt the need to put his hands aggressively on my friend for using a vape she didn't know she wasn't allowed to use. Had Leggetts for the first time this weekend. Pizza was fantastic! Perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Was not too oily and the crust had the perfect amount of crisp to it. They had beer specials going on as well. People next to us ordered spinach dip and it looked amazing. I was tempted to buy it, but I held off. Next time for sure. Only downfall is they are crowded so it's hard to get someone attention for a purchase. But I guess the crowds speak of how good this place is. I have been coming to the jersey shore my entire life. ...Came over after a wedding with close to 50 people not only did they not let the BRIDE in because she did not have Id ( which we completely understood someone was going back to get it ) but then the little so called bouncer proceeded to insult to the bride .....I won't even tell you what he said to her because honestly I'm still in shock ! We were very disappointed in the poor, unfriendly service. Sweet potato fries were excellent. Nachos looked beautiful but cold; had cheese only on the top and some of that was unmelted. Went to Leggetts on a Friday night. We had a great time with our bartender until about 11 PM. Around midnight, we had met some new people and we went to go get two Corona limes and when we got the bill, we realized it said $70 and we asked the bartender, "we think you made a mistake" and he was like, "oh you're paying for all of them right?" And we were like, "no we don't know any of these people" and so he started telling them to pay and that's when me and my sister got hit over the head by a bunch of 18-year-olds and the bartender stood up on the bar and told the kids to leave. As we tried defending ourselves from getting beat and kneed in the chest and head, he was like "and get these fuckers out too,"and so we left and tried getting the attention of the police. They didn't care and leggets did not do anything and kicked out the people who reported the fraud (us). We tried making an anonymous report and we couldn't. Leggetts is an absolute disgrace of a bar, and the bartender should be ashamed to call himself a professional. (I must rephrase the bar itself is very nice, the rest of this review pertains to the older gentleman bartending). From the moment we walked in, it was clear we were nothing more than a nuisance to him. No eye contact, no greetings, no acknowledgment whatsoever. Every interaction with him reeked of disdain, like serving us drinks was beneath him. He acted like we were interrupting his precious time just by being there. We said thank you after every round, trying to be polite, but he couldn't even bother to grunt in response. Closing out the tab was an even bigger insult--this guy ignored us while we tried to wave him down, forcing us to get up and beg for his attention like desperate peasants. And when we finally managed to close the tab? Not a single word. No thank you, no acknowledgment, nothing. Just a cold handoff like we were garbage he was eager to get rid of. This place is an embarrassment because of this man, fire him. The bartender's attitude is disgusting, and his lack of basic human decency is infuriating. If you enjoy being treated like dirt, then sure, give this hellhole a shot. Otherwise, take your money somewhere that actually values its customers, because Leggetts certainly doesn't. Honestly worst wrap I have ever had. There were 3 strands of very dry chicken on each side of the Empty wrap and some iceberg lettuce for $16.50. (Should have been $13 based on the menu but I had added avocado as a topping (said $0.50.....) not that it even had avocado on it as shown in the picture). But forgetting the missing toppings for a second (which I paid for..) the wrap was just plain awful and the service just as bad. It took so long to the point where the party of 8 had to leave besides 1 person staying to pay for the check. (Which is why I couldn't even say anything about the up charge as I wasn't there). Came here on a Saturday night in October (not summer months). Honestly, I am surprised that this is crowned as one of the "hot spots" in the area. Food: The pizza was actually pretty good. Classic bar pie style, thin and crispy - I'd recommend it. The beer selection was mediocre, nothing unique or craft. Service: This is where it gets dicey folks - the staff here is pretty awful. Lets start with the old man at the door that thought it was a good idea to rip water bottles out of two women's hands as they walked in and scolded them that "no outside drinks are allowed in". And I'm NOT talking about just informing them, I'm talking about him yelling it. It's an understandable rule. Except we are 32 years old and don't need the bottles ripped out of our hands like children. One woman just had a baby and was dehydrated from breast feeding and needed water. But instead of just asking the bottles to be thrown out, they were ripped from their hands like children and were yelled at which was not only inappropriate but extremely bizarre. When the ladies went to talk to him about his actions he just yelled at them in his own defense, completely unjustified and still wrong. I hope he reads this and knows he made the one girl cry. This guy was a complete douche bag and that's putting it nicely. The bar tenders - although relatively quick had no interest in helping each other out in order to service the room. One guy had one side, one had the other. My bartender was busy serving about 10 people and the other bartender on the other side was just standing there wiping his hands on a rag for 2 minutes as I'm waving at him to come over - he blatantly ignored me and turned around. Not sure if they are told to operate this way but if your coworker is swamped and you see other customers you can help, you should probably go help. Overall, just shit service all around to be honest. Atmosphere: There were a few other wedding parties that happened to be there on the same night coincidentally - for a non summer month the place was packed and booming. It was lively but it was nothing to brag about. No dance floor, no overall updated theme to the place - its just a bar. I'd imagine during summer months there's a lot of wasted 21 yr olds here. The Philly cheesesteaks were way overpriced. They weren't even good. $8.75 for 3!! They're small. Wouldn't order them again. They were doughy on the inside and didn't even have much "steak." We ordered the five cheese pizza and got prosciutto added. The prosciutto was chopped and thick cut? Ugh!! The pizza folded nice but didn't have the usual burn that a brick oven gives. Crust is thin. Ha! I loved this immense bar in the middle of nowhere. Filled with locals and down to earth good people, Leggetts reminded me of taverns in Wisconsin. This establishment allows the shoving, hitting, pushing of women. A male shoved my body out of the way at the bar in order to get a drink. The staff at Leggetts not only ignored his behavior, but defended him by saying "they didn't see it happen" When I told them about how he shoved me, they said "if it happens again, let me know." They proceeded to kick a male out who was defending me, but allowed the other to stay and refused to acknowledge the fact that a male shoved a female within their establishment. They were packed, which is great for business HOWEVER not a single person inside the bar was wearing a mask, zero covid precautions. Leggetts is one of my go-to places for pizza. Their margherita pizza is to die for. That being said, eating in person is not my favorite. Lots of tourists and okay service. I still give them 4/5 stars because their pizza and salad are great. If you're looking for a late night bar with great pizza this is your place.
