Strawberry matcha latte with almond milk
    Kerry N.

Adorable little coffee shop in Culver City with lots of seating inside and out, I went early afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. I got the strawberry matcha latte with almond milk which is on the more expensive side but is a decent size. The strawberry tasted so fresh, just a little difficult to stir into the matcha but still delicious. Would totally come back here and sit on their patio!

Creative, cute, convenient coffee! My "4C's". Easy free street parking, a few tables, the barista bros are cool. They have some creative ideas, the carrot cake latte is good, but I didn't sense any "carrot ". Orange velvet has a nice foam texture, but while I've had better "orange lattes" this was fine. I prefer a more espresso with orange zest based orange latte. Lots of fancy coffee beans to purchase and I really like the vibe here.

This review is purely based on their matcha. I think their matcha is above average for west side standards, but below average in comparison to ktown matcha spots. I loved the hint of Jasmine flavor on their Matcha Snow, but the matcha itself was a bit grainy and grassy in my opinion. Extra points for ambiance and because the baristas were so kind and amazing.

Leilo Coffee is a very nice neighborhood spot very close to Culver Blvd and Overland. There really isn't much else there around it. Unfortunately there's not a lot of parking which can be a problem. We tried to go early one day and it was packed. When we couldn't find a place to park we decided it just wasn't our day. Ended up coming back later on a Sunday afternoon when the line was gone. It looks nice on the inside, on the modern side but not so minimalist as a Blue Bottle. The colors were well chosen. There is a fair amount of seating with small round metal tables inside. Outside it was very comfortable with nice tables and chairs. It was very shady on the East side in the afternoon, actually quite pleasant. The latte I had was respectable. The pastries we had were very solid also (cardamon bun and butter croissant). While I might not consider it one of my top coffee "destinations", Leilo is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Small cute coffee shop in Culver City! The location is rather small with few seats inside, however there is plenty of seating to use outdoors so it's a great way to maximize their space. Staff was friendly and welcoming and super helpful with choices for first timers. I stopped by because I was attending a pop up and had the luxury of trying the carrot cake latte. It was sweet rich and delicious and definitely taste like a carrot cake in a cup with a shot of espresso! It was the perfect mix of a sweet treat and a coffee it was a perfect balance. It comes with a cream cheese foam but I ordered a "mara blue spirulina" top instead. I'll definitely be returning to order this again and try other items on the menu!

Amazing little coffee shop! The service was excellent, we got recommended a different drink each based on what we told them and they all exceeded expectations. We got the carrot cake latte which was very unique. The cream cheese foam and biscoff bits were a great addition. The carrot cake taste is not that evident but the pairing is good. The matcha snow was also delicious. I got a coconut foam edition they had and it made my matcha have a lovely texture and a great coconut flavor. We also got the strawberry matcha and the strawberry flavor was one of the better ones I've tasted. It's not too artificial and the texture is velvety and smooth. The store is also really cute and has some indoor seating as well as some outdoor tables.

Super cool spot with very friendly staff. The place was hopping both days I visited--and I came two days in a row because I loved it. It's a corner café in a quiet neighborhood, and you can tell it's a local favorite; everyone seemed to know everyone. The first day I had an iced latte with oat milk and honey--super good, very creamy, with just the right amount of honey. The next day I tried the drip coffee, which was excellent as well. My only minor complaint was that refills cost extra. I totally understand, I was just hoping for a free refill since many places offer that--but it didn't take away from the experience. If you're looking for a friendly, relaxed place to sit down and enjoy a great cup of coffee, I highly recommend this spot. Coach "aka the coffee guy" Berokoff

iced matcha latte & hojicha latte w/cold foam

Newly opened cafe that's a great addition to the neighborhood. Coffee drinks are solid (my friend swears by their cortado) & there's a decent amount of indoor & outdoor seating. The strawberry matcha & iced matcha with cold foam were both decent, but would expect more matcha for the price point. I also tried their iced hojicha latte with cold foam & it did not taste nor look like there was an acceptable amount of hojicha powder--would not recommend that particular drink. Ample free & easy street parking.

Stopped by Leilo Coffee in Culver City and loved their aesthetic! The place has such a warm, welcoming vibe. The coffee is delicious, even though I only go for a basic iced latte with whole milk and no sweetener, you can still taste good quality coffee, where its not overpowered by a lot of milk. The staff is kind and attentive and the shop is clean, cozy, and the perfect spot to relax, work, or grab something quick on the go.

Leilo is definitely busy on a Saturday morning but the shop is modern and they have outdoor seating to enjoy your drinks as well! We keep coming back for the same drink: carrot cake latte served hot! The cream cheese foam is delicious with the biscoff and sea salt topping, it's such a treat!

Came in early on a Tuesday morning and it wasn't too busy with lots of street parking available right out front. I ordered the strawberry matcha with almond milk. Their house made strawberry puree is delicious. Which makes me bummed to say their matcha was just okay. It was incredibly milk heavy where I barely could taste the matcha. I saw them hand whisking the matcha after I ordered, it's just unfortunate it was watered down essentially. I'm hoping it was an off day because I can see so much potential. I'll probably be back to give it another try!

Soft opening recently, estimated mid December launch. Most of the coffee drinks are available, and they were great. No food available yet, no pour overs or drip coffees available yet. Metered street parking, free on the weekend. Would return to see what changes

Still in their soft opening period, the cafe only opens until 2pm in the afternoon and offers limited options of drinks and nibbles. I visited quite late and they did say that most pastries were out early in the day so what's displayed wasn't the full selections. The terracota-colored venue somewhat gave bit of BOHO touch but it's very iconic. Plenty of seats available if I took into account the outdoor area by the curbside, but each of the table pretty much accomodated 2 people max. I went for their signature Hot Maple Cinnamon Cappuccino, served in 8oz size. The iced one would be slightly bigger at 10oz. It was pretty strong, and prolly not suited my preference best as it's more on the acidic note. I did like the sweet maple flavor blended with cinnamon powder on top. Would probably give another go with their matcha next time.

I got my go-to flavor, the Espresso Delux Hokey Pokey. Personally, I find this flavor to be more rich in flavor, but less sweet than the original Hokey Pokey. Plus, as a coffee-lover, how can I say no to coffee?!?! The ice cream was smooth and creamy, while the coffee flavor was noted with each bite without being too strong or overpowering. There was also a slight note of tanginess to it. It was topped off with crushed bits of chocolate covered almonds and toffee/honey comb flakes. In my opinion, this was the highlight as the toppings complimented the ice cream. You get the smooth and creaminess from the ice cream, yet the crunchy, chocolatey and nuttiness from the infused toppings. Now that's a heavenly bite. Highly recommend checking this place out whenever you're at Century City mall. It's located on the 2nd floor, right outside of Macy's. There's plenty of seating inside and the store is overall quite clean. Staff have been super friendly during each of my visits.

Vibe: Super cute and aesthetic--very on-brand and Instagram-worthy. It's not a huge space, but there are a few tables if you want to sit and relax for a bit. Drinks: I tried the cold brew and it was definitely on the stronger side, which I personally liked. They also have different flavor options, so you can mix it up depending on your mood. Price range: Expect about $5-$8 per drink, which is pretty typical for specialty coffee in this area. ‍ Location & parking: Located inside Westfield Century City, so parking is just mall parking (easy but can get busy depending on the time). Final thoughts: Great spot if you're already at the mall and want a quality coffee with a fun vibe. Not a huge sit-down café, but perfect for a quick pick-me-up. The Service was not very good or welcoming but as expected for opening month, we ordered a hazelnut and chocolate flavored latte's and through our high expectations.. we were disappointed as the flavors were so lacking and the coffee not tasting the best, we also in addition bought their coffee cake and had that before our coffee's and were disappointed in them also as it lacked flavor and was very dry. With that being said I returned pretty recently because I believe every place deserves second chances and to my knowledge it was the same result that I had from the first month, cold service and not very welcoming with underwhelming flavor in their coffee :(( I hope with years they can improve with trial and error as I wont be imposed to trying it again for the third time :)
