I was in town for my niece's theater show and we needed to find a place that is open for a late-ish dinner. I am surprised to see that many restaurants closed early on a Friday night! We found on Yelp, this restaurant named Lemon Zest. It is a restaurant that is part of small business center but Lemon Zest looks like a stand alone business. The interior was designed so nice with ample seating outside in the patio area and inside. This place is meant to hold large parties. The vibe is so cool for a casual date or dinner and drinks with friends. It is also cool to host a mixer or private party! At 9:15pm we were the only party and our server treated us so well. She didn't rush us but she did check in with us periodically. I wish we got her name so we can properly give her praise. The food was amazing. This is my first time here so I ordered the beef gyro plate and paid extra for loaded Greek fries. The plate was huuuge! Such a generous serving that is enough for two people to eat. The fries were crisp and the toppings worked so well. It complimented the thin, well-seasoned slices of beef. The pita was cut into triangles, making the perfect bite. My friends and I really enjoyed our dinner and promise to comeback!
Omg! I cannot believe I have never tried this place. I have always seen it when I drive on Reseda but never gave it a try. The parking situation is tricky if the lot is full because the lot is super narrow and if the restaurant is full you won't find parking in their lot. Their staff is sweet and helpful. I really enjoyed their food! For the amount you pay, you really get a lot of food which is important to consider in this economy. I ended up getting a combo plate of chicken and beef kabob. It was super good! I also really enjoyed their hummus as an appetizer. Overall will definitely be coming back and would recommend this place!
I came back here with friends and once again the food was very good. We shared chipotle chicken fries, a Shirazi salad, and had water to drink. I ordered the chipotle chicken bowl. It tasted good, I just wish it was spicy, but other than that the service was great and it was a great ambiance to celebrate my friend's birthday.
First time dining at Lemon Zest for dinner on a Saturday night with the family and we had an amazing dinner experience. Lemon Zest provided both delicious meals and excellent customer service, thanks to Natalie. We dined here on a busy Saturday night. We were seated immediately and didn't have to wait long to be seated. Our order consisted of 3 Combo # 1 with half rice and half salad, Chicken Lule Kabob with all garden salad, truffle Parmesan fries, Beef Kabob and Combo # 2 with half rice and half garden salad. Natalie also noted the fact that one of our family member has a peanut and tree nut allergy. We love dining at restaurants that accommodate people with peanut and tree nut food allergies. We have added Lemon Zest to our favorite restaurant list as we know Lemon Zest caters to families with food allergies. We also have shared and told our family and friends about Lemon Zest. The portions of their meals are plentiful and more than enough. The kabobs chicken and beef were all so tender and flavorful. The chicken and beef were not overcooked. The basmati rice was also cooked perfectly. We can't wait to come back to Lemon Zest and try other food items on their menu.
This meal was so life-changing I had to hop back on yelp to tell everyone. Firstly, the interior is well-decorated and spacious and the ambiance is excellent and our server said that the menu is part Persian inspired. Most importantly, the food was the greatest ever. My family would have been fine with just the baba ganoush and roasted eggplant-- it was hearty and creamy and garlicky, everything I have ever wanted in a dish. But of course, we ordered the super combo due to our hubris and paid the price (we took a bunch of boxes). They are not kidding when they say the Super Combo feeds 4-5, they must be talking about 4-5 men in their early 20s because it was way too much for us. Assuming you eat all the salad and rice and the bed if bread the meat is served on, I can imagine this feeding more than 5 people. It is truly the most value item on the menu, should you have the personnel to take it on. Highly recommended for anyone who likes mediterranean food! Try the baba ganoush and roasted eggplant!!
A five-star rating will always get my attention, so I was curious to see if Lemon Zest lived up to the hype. It definitely did. We were seated right away, which is always a great start. We kicked things off with the Shiraz salad and pita bread. The salad was fresh with a nice tang, and the grilled pita added a really good flavor to it. For mains, we had the vegan beef gyro and the falafel gyro with fries. Both were really good. Well seasoned and the portions were generous.
Brought my mom here for her early birthday dinner on a Sunday night, there was plenty of people and plenty of space for big parties. The staff was very friendly and greeted us as soon as we arrived, there's like a lounge area as soon as you walk in that they were just waiting at for people to come I guess. The food was amazing! Portion and price totally worth it! Would love to come back again soon!
Came by to have dinner with family. I think my first time may have been years ago as I don't remember so this may as well be my first lol. I like the design of the place and it has an "open" feel to it. Most of the tables were full but we were seated quickly. Our server, Natalie was really nice and delivered great service. I ordered the Combo #2 Beef Kabob and Chicken Lule. With half and half rice and garden salad. Wow even at half, there was a lot of salad! Actually portions were all pretty large. The salad and rice were both good. The salad was actually kind of filling cause it had so much in it! The beef kabob was juicy and flavorful. The chicken lule looked good but was a tad dry. May have been my dish though as I was surprised, considering everything else I ate. We also tried the Truffle Parmesan Fries. The fries were cooked well and crispy. Creamy with a hint of tanginess and zesty. Very good! I would definitely return. Thank you!
I needed to meet a friend who had appointments in the Northridge area. Checking Yelp, I settled on us having dinner at Lemon Zest. It was another great find! At 5pm it was kind of quiet on a Tuesday, but we chose our table and were immediately provided ice filled glasses and a liter of chilled water, which was welcome on such a hot day! My friend and I each ordered the lamb kabob plate, mine with Greek Salad and she selected half rice and half salad. We were able to specify we would like the lamb cooked rare. Everything that was served was so perfect, with generous portions! The salad had feta cheese. Kalamata olives, pepperoncini, onions, etc. I found the house dressing so refreshing. The lamb was tender and perfectly cooked. This will be another restaurant I will recommend to all my friends and family. I will definitely return when I next visit the area.
Very high reviews and I completely agree! The price point is a bit high, but the portions are larger, quality is great, and everything was delicious!!! I ordered completely different than my usual Mediterranean go to meal, but I was very impressed. A huge gyro and side of fries was very satisfying. The beef gyro is one of their best sellers, so naturally I ordered it. Not sure what made me choose fries, but these were perfection. There was plenty of parking in the evening hours in the private lot. Only thing is the front of the restaurant is dark so it's easy to miss driving by. This may be my new favorite spot in the valley (for Mediterranean food).
This is such a cute place to dine. The interior is so inviting and the staff is so friendly. As soon as you walk in, you can sit where you want and the staff hands to your menu. We were brought water immediately, which was so refreshing on such a hot day. After asking some questions about the menu, we went ahead and ordered. This food did not disappoint. The yogurt with cucumber was delicious and the hummus was so good. They both were served with grilled pita that was served warm. The kebab with delicious rice was on point. Gyro was perfection. I will be coming back!
I placed an order at 12PM through grubhub to be picked up BY 12:45pm. I figured that is plenty time to give to have my order ready and I never got any notification that there was an issue. We get there to pick up the order and was given attitude that they just received the order. (Note on my receipt when the pick up by time is and when the order was placed at 12:48PM when we went to pick up). Not only that but the food is bland and so greasy. There is a pool of oil at the bottom of the to go container. Never again.

I'm going to be very honest and straightforward per usual when I post my reviews. This restaurant is definitely going to excel in Northridge!!! The Food was beyond amazing, fresh, and good amounts to get your money worth it! Food: I ordered the combo which I shared with my mom since they give you some really good portions. We were able to get two kabobs of our Choice thanks to Sevan the owner, who let us get one chicken kabob and the other salmon. I really know that everything was absolutely delicious. The rice was perfect, the salad was so fresh with good dressing, salmon cooked to perfection and made just right and moist it melted in my mouth. The wheat pita bread even had melted butter on it! OMG so yummy! The yogurt was very good as well with a very different ting to it. I ate all my food and was very satisfied. No complaints at all for me with the quality of Lemon Zest. The service was amazing! Sevan was our server and he works very hard to keep his business going. He such a sweet guy and he makes sure his customers are happy. He's a very hardworking man. I am definitely going to come back because of this. The ambiance is very nice and cozy! The decor is really nice and it gives you the lounge vibe to talk and have the perfect environment with nice clean spacious seating and interior. The restrooms were really clean, which is a plus for me. Anyways, It's a very nice place to go for lunch with friends or dinner since they close at 10:00pm everyday. They have so many different options to choose from. They even have teriyaki kabob and Sriracha chicken which I've never saw at many Mediterranean grills. It's so many options to choose from it's ridiculous. I'm sure everything is right on point. In a nutshell, this will be my go to place for Mediterranean food for now on in my community. We drove by this place and had to turn around because we are always down to try Mediterranean food... Especially ones that have good reviews on Yelp! I'm so glad we did! My husband and I ordered food to go. When we walked in, we couldn't believe how big the place was! Everything was very clean, all the seats/ couches looked very comfortable. We can't wait to go back to dine in. The lady behind the counter was friendly and very helpful with any questions we had about the menu. She offered us water while we waited for our food. When we got home, we were very happy with the way everything was packed. Nothing was burned (a little burn is okay, but we were hating that other places would make their kabobs black!). My father picked up the food from this place and I must say it was a hefty load. I ordered the Lamb Gyro with garlic sauce (extra $1.50) and dad ordered the Chicken Gyro. Our gyros had a hefty amount of toppings and lots of protein for the price ($15-17). The size was double of my hand! I could barely carry it with one hand. As for the garlic sauce, it was quite a strong garlic purée and elevated my meal. Wish they had a lule kabob for this gyro. This gyro was almost similar to a Greek Slouvaki which was great! Great. I had the non-meat or vegetarian kabobs with half rice and half Greek salad combo to go. Lots of quality food and the lules tasted like meat. I only have half hour break and can usually stuff my dinner in my big mouth within 20 minutes, not tonight. It's not cheap but hardly anything is. read more

The food here is sooo good! This place just opened up, but I've been to their other location in Glendale. The wraps are soooo delcious and I can't wait to go back to try their kabob dishes. We had the chicken sriracha wrap and it was the perfect amount of spice. They have a house made pomegranate hot sauce that's amazing. We bought a bottle to take home. There are a ton of vegan options as well. The service was so fast and the place was just recently remodeled. Cant wait to go back and try more food :) read more

I've driven by this spot at least 100 times, and today was finally the day I decided to come in and have a girls' night with one of my best friends. I originally planned on getting a wrap, but the waitress informed us before ordering that they were not serving wraps and were out of soup and eggplant. So, I decided to share a combo meal #3 with her, which included chicken and beef kebabs ($32). The servings were very large and definitely big enough to share. I couldn't resist ordering a side of fries ($6). The combo plates come with rice, and we got to choose a salad of our choice--we chose the Greek, which was definitely one of the highlights of my meal. The staff was very friendly, and I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. There is plenty of indoor seating. They have bathrooms for customers and a shared parking lot, so you should have no issues finding a spot. read more

Dare I say their salmon is better than mine??? I mean... It is definitely a close runner up. Portions were huge! And in this economy that is always a plus. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and very open. The service was good. And the reason I only gave 4 stars was because they didn't have a lot of items I wanted to try. The server did mention they recently just changed the menu, so I'm wondering if that was a part of the reason. You've heard of eat the rainbow?? This place has got you covered!! I came in to try this place for the first time. And was actually excited as i just moved to the area and it is close to me. I came in and ordered the terryaki kebob and and also attempted to order the siracha kebob a la carte. I told the young lady twice. If she got the kebob she said yes. I asked if that was my correct total at check cus it seemed low. She said yes. I again asked if she got the siracha kebob she said yes. I got my order from another girl and she said o we didn't get the siracha kebob. And I wasn't charged for it. I said I asked multiple times to ensure my order was right. I stopped by this Lemon Zest today to get my dinner. I heard about this place from another person who speaks highly about it so I was willing to give it a try. I like kabob so I was interested to see how this place is. I found parking easily in the small lot this place is in. When I walked inside, I was in their little dining area which isn't big but they have another space to the left where you can put in your to go order. I went with the Beef Lule Kabob plate with half rice and half Caesar salad. It took about 10 minutes or so to be ready and I went home to eat it. They give a lot of rice and the beef lule looks good. My plate also came with a pita bread but it was on the bottom of the rice and kabob so all the grease went on it. I thought he lule kabob was good and the rice. I only ate 1 stick of the lule kabob and was already full. I ate some of the pita bread but having all the grease on it didn't help. I was to come back, I would try their French fries and maybe gyro. I tried this place for the first time the other day and my lamb was cooked more than I would like because I like it VERY rare! When I brought it home and it was not cooked to my liking because it wasn't rare, but it was what other people would like. I called up and spoke to the manager. Without a second hesitation, he was so polite and kind and offered either my money back or to replace it. I really wanted to try this place so I had them replace it and I went in and picked it up today. I must tell you delicious delicious delicious. And good management that's the person who will keep a customer. I live in the neighborhood and I could recommend it to a lot of our neighbors as well. read more

Large portion for the price, good quality ingredients, and clean restaurant. Server could have been friendlier. I enjoyed the rice, yogurt sauce, and beef kebob, although I should have requested medium rare because the kebob was overcooked for my liking. However it was still pretty tender considering it was pretty much medium well throughout. I didn't really enjoy the dolmades, they were made with a sauce that reminded me of a somewhat sweet italian dressing. Wish they were lemony instead. I ate here with my sister and some friends. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The portions are huge. I could have made three meals from just a lamb gyro. I ended up giving the leftovers to my parents. The veggies inside were fresh and delicious. The meat was too burnt-tasting for my taste. I also shared an order of the Greek loaded fries. Whatever is in the Greek sauce is extremely sweet. Not my thing. The fries without sauce were pretty good though. Nice and light. This is a good place to go for big parties. Recently enjoyed a great meal here. I'm always on the lookout for places me & my vegan mom can enjoy together. This joint is very unassuming. However it checked all the boxes and then some. I thoroughly enjoyed the beef gyro. My husband had the beef kabobs & mom had vegan beef kabobs. All of the good was flavorful. The portions were huge. For sure next time I'll be sharing my meal. Don't skip the pita bread & the hummus. That's where flavor town started so delicious. Fries were on point too. The ambience inside was beautiful & music was grooving.
