DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT! 3 YEARS LATER AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS MORE DEPLORABLE THAN EVER. I ordered via Grubhub: spaghetti with garlic and olive oil ($11.50), added shrimp ($9.75), baked clams ($14), and two Cokes. After confirmation, I realized they use their own drivers--something you don't see before ordering--so I called at 6:39pm and politely asked the driver to call me when arriving. Daniel, who answered, was kind and said okay. At 6:52pm, I get a call from the restaurant and this time it's a woman. She proceeds to tell me that she noticed I added shrimp to my pasta dish, but they charge about 2.50 for each one so the extra $9.75 I paid would only account for 3 shrimp. And if I wanted a full side of shrimp, I would need to pay an extra $5, so a total of almost $15. ??? Now, I was confused because I've literally ordered the same dish on DoorDash a while back and didn't have this issue. So I go to check DoorDash and I see that while the price to add shrimp was higher now ($12), it still didn't add up to what she was telling me I needed to pay. Not to mention, if this was the case, why not just update your pricing? I mentioned this on the phone to her and she kept beating around the bush, adamant that I would need to dish out more $, so I asked her to cancel the order entirely. The whole thing just didn't sit right with me. She says okay, I said thank you, and hung up. Ten minutes pass--no cancellation. I called again at 7:03pm, and she claimed I had to cancel it on Grubhub because "she couldn't cancel it on their tablet" (which we all know is because restaurants get penalized for cancelling). Lol. So not only did she do nothing, she also never bothered to inform me. She tried to get me to cancel so they wouldn't be charged, even though as the customer, I can't do so after confirmation without a penalty. At one point, she even said "We're not associated with Grubhub, you have to cancel." Again, LOL. How are you on their app but not associated with them? When I wouldn't oblige and tried to explain that it was their responsibility because of the price discrepancy on their end, she continuously spoke over me and I am not the one. I was ready to call a cab over there just off of principle. You shouldn't be working in customer facing positions if you think it's appropriate to argue with a patron over something that's YOUR fault. To make matters worse, she then hung up on me. I called back and Daniel picked up. I was heated and at that point, extremely upset, when I asked him to speak to an owner or manager. After picking up on my frustration, he respectfully requested that I calm down so that he could help me. I obliged as it wasn't his fault his coworker was unprofessional and disgustingly rude. I told him that I simply wanted my order cancelled and in the background, I hear the girl whose name I found out was Taylor, being told to call Grubhub. He promised to get it sorted and did what his coworker should've done from the start. GH eventually called me, and of course the woman tried to spin the situation like I just randomly wanted to cancel. I explained that they confirmed, then tried to upcharge me. About ten minutes later at 7:22, it was finally cancelled. Daniel called back as promised and was apologetic but at that point, the damage was done. I appreciated his courtesy, nonetheless. He deserves a raise and a promotion. But Taylor? The ill mannered & uncouth individual who thought she was going to get one over on me? Someone should let her know to take her talents underground where the rats live. Either that or a spandrel, tucked away. Clearly, she's not suited to be dealing with people in any form and is extremely bad for business. read more

I took my mom here after we visited my dad in the hospital. Angry pizzerias produce great slices. Outside in Marine Park, there is not too much to look at. Inside, it very much effuses an energy that only a pizzeria near Flatbush can question. It is without the shadow of a doubt that makes this pizza stand out and taste great, why in an area where businesses are shuttering all around, that this one still remains a pillar in the community. I am not going to bore you in this review and analyze each slice. If I wanted to do that, I would enclose a sleeping pill with this review; no need for that. The slices are crispy, chewy, with the perfect amount of cheese and sauce, a beautiful red sauce at that. They are not as aggressively salty as other slices I have had, which is okay. They are a bit pale at first, which may explain why it is not an amazing slice, and they also flop a little, so points are deducted as well, but it is a solid slice once it cools a little. The toppings applied at this pizzeria are applied liberally and there is a bite of them in almost every bite, until the crust is reached. They are also clean to eat, despite my messy eating. Oh, and be mindful of their Grapeade. It literally tastes like cough medicine. I will pass on this next time. However, I have bookmarked this pizzeria so I can return again at a later date. You should come sooner than that. The angrier, the better. read more

My love affair w/ Lenny and Johns Pizzeria started many years ago when I first began attending St. Thomas Aquinas Church + enrolled my daughter into a dance studio that used to be in the same area. Lenny and Johns is across the parking lot area from my church and I go there faithfully. Like clockwork, my Sundays for years have been filled w/ going to St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church for Mass and then straight to Lenny and Johns Pizzeria for lunch or dinner (depending on which Mass Service I attend). As soon as I arrive at this nicely-sized eatery, I speak to either Danielle or one of the other lovely servers as well as the hardworking gentlemen that run the counter + create the "meal masterpieces". Sometimes I take food to-go (especially if I get a craving and would get some on my way home from work) but lots of times I stay since there are dining tables. The establishment's menu has a good selection of appetizers and entrees. Individuals can order regular beverages (soda, vitamin water, snapple, bottled water, etc.) as well as things like wine (dine-in only). Lenny and John's makes the best Spaghetti + Meatballs and Pepperoni + Regular Cheese Pizza...Boy, do I wish that I had some right now-lol. The perfect cheese + crispy pizza crust (sorry no picture here as I eat the pizza like there is no tomorrow-lol) the most well-seasoned sauce + meatballs...I cannot say enough about their food. Oh, I should have also mentioned that they have dessert specials during the holidays (ex. Halloween, etc) and Valentine's Day promotions like a free glass of wine or dessert to share when you spend $20 (dine-in only). Ordering Lenny and Johns via UberEats has blissfully allowed me to continue to enjoy the favorites listed above as well as to get other items. Brolied Salmon w/ linguine pasta has become a new favorite. The herbs and spices on the Salmon, their flavorful Sauteed Spinach and Mixed Vegetables, etc. My daughter really likes their Fettucine Alfredo because it is so nice and creamy. Everytime I am done w/ my meal I have a full belly and a smile on my face. We called from the curb and said to leave the pizza cold since it had to make its 45 minute journey home. A person from their staff met us outside with a box with two slices of pizza inside. A quick transaction with cash and we were on our way. The pizza was delicious - even the next day! The crust (which I can be picky with) was great, the sauce and cheese were perfect.
