The food was amazing it was so good that I got full quickly, the price was a bit on the expensive side, but it was worth it! me and my cousin shared 1 1/2 slice and we were full after that. A Saturday night with no desire to cook. I stumbled upon this pizza spot via yelp. Figured I would give it a try. Strike one - person who received my delivery order on phone seemed perturbed that I only ordered a larger cheese pie. Hey man, that's $14 in business. Strike two - a disoriented pizza delivery guy shows up an hour and a half later saying he was sent to the wrong address. Strike three - I open the box and the pizza is destroyed. The slices are all shifted to one side and are laying on top of each other. Well, there are always leftovers. Yes my observations are the result of one order. Even the best places have one bad order in them. However, until customer service here is drastically improved I recommend avoiding this place. read more

The place is clean, the service is fast, the food is tasty and Mike, the manager is very friendly with a good sense of humor.

Pizza is pretty decent. The sauce is on the sweeter side and there could have been a bit more cheese, but the crust was quite good. The only real negative is that it arrived completely disheveled. I have never received a pizza delivered so haphazardly. read more

My one criticism is that the sauce is understated and almost an afterthought. I wish it had more of a zesty tomato flavor. This is pretty much what a typical Brooklyn pizza is about. In the area and was lucky enough to find this gem of a pizzeria. According to the guy there they've been here for over 10 years. We decided to eat in since it was raining out. It's a local pizza spot, nothing fancy. Kinda reminded me of jr. high school, getting lunch in a regular pizzeria. Hubby got a chicken roll and i got a buffalo chicken roll and some garlic bread sandwich. The rolls were loaded with chicken & sauce. They are not cheap with it. The buffalo chicken one was delicious and both rolls were big. We also decided to get a Margherita pie to go since it was supposed to be raining all day. The pie was nice and fresh with a crisp crust(not burnt). This place using really thinly sliced tomatoes on top of the sauce which the hubby said was a really nice touch. I also noticed it's very garlicky, which is not totally a bad thing unless you're a vampire. lol. We liked the service and the fact the everything was freshly made. Next time we'll try out the pasta and other dishes. Oh and prices are reasonable. read more

I used to eat at this pizzeria pretty often as a kid. I've been coming here for 20 years now!!! I got to know Joe and the entire staff. They are a bunch of great people! Their pizza is always fresh and the crust is yummy! I honestly never tried any toppings as I like cheese slices the best. Their pasta are pretty damn good as well. Always made fresh! The downside is the wait for it. Stuff shells are my favorite of mine and they do it just right. I also get beef patties with cheese from them as well. They're not the best pizzeria around (when you're comparing them to other Brooklyn places, but they are up there in my books). When you compare A&J's to what I get in Jersey, they ARE THE BEST! With the high cost of cheese and everything else, A&J still manage to keep the prices very reasonable. Although Joe isn't working as much as he's getting older, his staff seems like they've learned all his tricks. It's awesome pizza, this neighborhood does not have a lot of food options for the non-kosher eaters and I am lucky to have found this place. They have a great Brooklyn pizza, the right amount of dough, Sauce and cheese and also great temp, not luke warm and not to hot! They have everything you need a slice. I hopped off the subway and walked over and VOILA it's ready and waiting and HOT. (I am out in Borough Park at least two (2) to three (3) days a week for a client of mine. (I'm a film/TV/theatre/literary agent.)) Since there are minimal dining options, I look for something that's both convenient and with food that('s) prepared/tastes GREAT! A & J satisfies all three (3) BRILLIANTLY! When you leave the Ft Hamilton Parkway (D Train) station you cannot miss the sign. The staff is as attentive and customer-service-oriented as the finest five-star (*****) NY Times-reviewed establishments; they will "bend over backwards to accommodate." A rarity in this age. Tonight Abraham was in the kitchen and prepared my spaghetti with fried chicken breast with garlic and oil just as competently and professionally as Michelle does during the day. (I've eaten there during the day the same meal and so can comment equally as honest.) I'm a "stickler" for details and THIS place deserves attention both "in the neighborhood" and beyond. read more
