Had an appointment at 11am. It wasn't till 11:30 that I asked about my appointment again for a representative to say that they would assist shortly. When representative assisted I ask about the delay but brushed it off by saying those were questions for the doctor. This was my 3rd visit since I was in the process of fitting contacts. Every visit was a negative one so decided this one would be the last one since the service was worst from the previous 2. Decided to cancel the contacts, in the process the representative mentioned that the manager named Jenni had to cancel the order. In the cancellation process the manager named Jenni never apologized or even inquired about the experience. No sure how a leader is leading people when she has no sense of sympathy when it comes to customer service. read more

Very thorough and explained the whole process and made me comfortable... even though I've been getting my eyes checked for years, its still a nerve-racking experience. But she was awesome! I then purchased a new pair of frames with new lenses with Sandra. She was patient, checked my insurance to make sure I qualified for the frames I wanted, and walked me through the purchase... recommending certain add ons like high index lenses for my high prescription and blue light lenses because I'm on my phone/computer a lot. The eye doctors are wonderful in this location!!! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and best at what they do. I have been coming to this location for over 5 years and each visit with the doctors are always pleasant. The visits has been a positive experience for me and my family as they answer all our questions and always give us suggestions on the best contact lenses and glasses to wear. During my appointments they take their time examining each eye and explain everything thoroughly if any major changes has been made. All the contacts and eye glasses I have purchased in this location were great no big issues such as irritating my eyes or glasses breaking. As far as prices they are affordable if you use your insurance - I got my glasses for $150 (originally $250) after all the discounts applied. If I could say one thing they can improve on is the staff and eye technicians. They do not have the best customer etiquette they want you in and out as quickly as possible. They are not the most welcoming when you check-in and when interacting with them no one smiles and they are so serious that they give off the vibe that they do not want to be bothered. They are busy all times of the day and you will not always get the best service as if you were to go to a small independent eye doctor. I suggest make an appointment that way you can sign-in and waiting for a worker to assists you will be shorter in wait time. As for glasses and sunglasses selection they have many to pick from and are in current styles. They carry both high end brands and basic styles if you are looking for simpler look. This location is inside the mall next to Macy's and there is not entrance straight from the parking lot. Looking for parking is easy it is a huge lot since it is part of the mall. read more

You'd think that they would send some time of notice to their customers that are pending purchase orders, that their location is closed until further notice. I paid $400+ for my glasses which I NEED to function on a normal day, but now they're closed. You can't call the store, even for a pick up or call anyone at their customer care number to see what other options they have for the orders in glasses. I understand it's hard times, but I don't understand how suddenly after all that money was paid you're unavailable to be reached? I don't have time to wait another 3 weeks to get my glasses!! I purchased two prescription glasses back in May 2010. One was a D&G and the other was a BVLGARI. Both totally to nearly $1k. After a few weeks, the right lens on the D&G started getting some stress cracks. So I just put it aside and wore the other one, until that one started getting stress cracks too on the right lenses. Not wanting my money to go to complete waste, I went ahead and called them and told them about my problem. A few days later I went in, and they were able to replace my lenses for free, and it only took an hour. Also told me that if it happens again, they will let me exchange the frame or will give me a refund on the glasses. =) read more

Lens crafters in Cerritos is so much better than the Lakewood one. I came Tuesday night on 9/12. I really wish I would have asked for the 2 ladies names working that day. Amazing customer service !!!! Even though I came within the last 30 minutes of closing, they were extremely helpful and even giving me recommendations. I came in to fix my lenses but I also had the option of trading in for a new pair of glasses, with that I told her even though I can trade it i really really love my original glasses bc they have gold & black together. I told her that small detail and as I'm roaming around looking, she suggests me 2 pairs that are similar to my original glasses with the black/dark color and gold detail . She also even did further research on her end and explained to me how much an eye contact and glasses exam would be with my insurance. My mom and I have been loyal LensCrafters customers for 20 years but this location and their manager have made us leave ever using the LensCrafter brand again! The manager is rude and does not believe in customer service. My mom bought a pair of glasses that chipped after ONE day of use and the manager would not take them back or give any type of even small discount for a replacement pair. Recently, I got a contact stuck in my eye and called this location and the manager was rude, condescending, unhelpful on top of the fact that the doctor was still on site but didn't want to stay an extra 10 minutes. Although other LensCrafter locations tried to help me and directed me to this location, my mom and I will no longer be using the LensCafter brand. I needed new glasses, and wanted something very specific to use on the job (indoor/outdoor). But I also wanted to get my prescription updated (my last check up was a year ago). So I came here on the recommendation of a friend. I decided to walk in to scope things out without an appointment. WALKING IN: First off, this store is in the Cerritos Mall, and with the whole revitalization of the mall, the place looks pretty fancy. The store was very clean with large displays of different brands, including some baller stuff in glass cases. I was greeted right away by the General Manager, Theresa (I saw her name tag). She was very nice and welcoming. I told her what I wanted and she told me it wasn't a problem. I had to fill out a two page form since I was a new customer. Then I waited to see the doctor. WAIT TIME: Considering I walked in without an appointment, the wait wasn't so bad. It gave me time to try on different frames. The wait time was about 10-15 minutes between being helped (Tuesday morning). But during small talk with the staff, I was told they can get pretty busy due to their location. Which it did towards the end of my visit. PRE-CHECK UP(?): About 10-15 minutes after I filled out the forms, I was helped my Malika. She took me into several different rooms to get my eyes tested on different machines. She was also very nice and easy to talk to. She made the tests easier to do, cause I absolutely hate those machines (they shine a bright blue light and blow air at your eyes). After that, she brought me back to their showroom to wait to see the doctor. THE DOCTOR: After about 10 minutes, the doctor came out to bring me into another room. Dr. Wong was very nice and professional. He had a very nice calming voice. After he administered the tests (the traditional: "Number one, or number two"), he explained how my eyes worked, and answered my questions. He filled out my prescription and walked me back to the showroom, where I was helped out by Theresa again. FITTING THE GLASSES: I picked out some Oakley sunglass frames, and asked Theresa if it was possible to get transitions lenses for them. She said it wasn't a problem, and took me to get them fitted(?) at one of their desks. She put some sort of contraption on the frames and took a photo of me with a machine. I watched her adjust points on the frames on the computer. She explained to me that it's custom fitted, which is pretty neat. SUMMARY: My overall experience was very positive. Everyone I encountered was very nice, welcoming, easy to talk to, and professional. The place was clean, and up to date with all the gadgets they used to test my eyes and fit my frames. Their selection was very large with many different styles of frames to choose from. I would definitely recommend this place to someone, and will be coming back for a check up or another pair of glasses. read more

Wow! Honestly have never been treated so badly! I have been going to the Cerritos Mall LensCrafters for years and have been helped by a couple of really nice and well trained people. This last visit however was beyond ridiculous! I talked to a girl named Alex (warning do not deal with her... I really don't think she's 100% there?) who I have actually seen there for years... not sure how she has kept her job thus far? Fortunately never had to deal with her and her rude attitude before. Let's just say she was not the brightest (and that is seriously the nicest thing I can say about her) who then pawned me off to Oscar (another genius) the "Manager" who after I described that they sold me defective lenses (and he actually agreed with me!?) said "there was not much they could do about it". What?? I mentioned to them that I barely wore them because they were adjusted and felt very uncomfortable, he basically tried to just get me out as fast as he could so that he could go back to sitting at the computer - I'm sure diligently working?? right lol... After all was said and done all I asked for was some sort of resolve was there anything they could do to help me? All the "manager" Oscar said was no, I could just buy the lenses at full price again if I wasn't happy?!! I even reminded him that he agreed with me that the lenses had some sort of defect!!??! And yet nothing was offered to me other than I just had to buy new ones! No sorry we will replace them since they were defective? No, maybe we can give you a discount on some new ones even? This is absolutely crazy! He then gave me the number for corporate (which he wrote on post it and gave me the wrong number like anyone can't just figure that out?) and told me to take it up with them. I said I would... It gets better though... called corporate today and there were no managers available. HOWEVER, I must berate it for its old equipment and question whether its practice is sanitary enough. I made an appointment and check to see that they took my insurance. When I showed up it took about five minutes to be able to check in and checked in on time but then had to wait another 35 minutes to see anybody. Once I was in the exam they told me that I would have to pay an extra $50 on top of my co-pay. I have very good insurance and four years at three other Drs office I never had to pay more than my co-pay. They could have told me when I was waiting they could have told me when I checked in they could have told me when I took my insurance but now they waited till I was actually in the actual exam. Total scam. I told her that was unacceptable and I would not be needing the rest of the exam. She seemed very surprised I think they figure once most people are along with it they're not going to leave but I'm not paying $50 for no reason. I just came home with a new pair of prescription glasses filled from this location. I waked in only to peruse their selection at first. Originally, I had gone inside Los Cerritos Optometry (also in the mall) but left disappointed With their selection. Lo and behold I walked into LensCrafters and they had an even better selection of designer frames (Gucci, Prada, Tiffany & co., Ray bans, Tory Burch) at better prices! I was helped by a licensed optician named, Melissa, who assisted me with finding a frame to fit my wide nose and round face. I tried on about a half-dozen frames and finally picked one I liked. It was actually a sunglass frame but Melissa affirmed me that lenses would be swapped out. It ended up being a perfect fit. I was anticipating to pick up my glasses within a week or so because that's been the usual pattern in the past from other optometrists. But, she said to come back in an hour because they have a lab on site! Score! 5- stars all around ! read more

I went here on a whim one rogue Sunday afternoon while I was perusing the mall waiting for a friend to get home and stumbled upon lenscrafters. Before I continue, let me just explain the never in my life have I had to wear prescription glasses or contacts, and it's been years since I last had my eyes checked - so I was definitely a little hesitant to step my foot in the door, but I knew that lenscrafters was a preferred partner with my health insurance. I stepped in and was greeted promptly by one of their part-time reps who was really nice. I asked about getting my eyes examined and after checking my coverage asked if I could come back in 30 mintutes since I was a "walk-in". No appointment, no problem. When I came back the optomitrist brought me to the back and performed a very harmless and quick eye exam and was really informative and helpful. After I was finished, she took me back to the front and wrote me a prescription and asked if I prefer contacts or eyeglasses. I preferred eyeglesses and she showed me out to some lenses that she thought I may like. This is where I started to become a little weary of this place. I explained to her that I was pretty meticulous of the frames (there's only a few brands of glasses that I not only like, but also fit my face - I have a small bridge and high cheek bones, so glasses tend to rest on my cheeks and not on the bridge of my nose) and I asked if I could bring in my own frames. She said, "oh you should try to find some frames here because if not, your $120 credit goes to waste" Did it every occur that money may not be the issue? If I'm stuck wearing eyeglasses, I would rather spend the money on a brand that I like and actually fits my face. I felt as if I was being hard-sold a bunch of frames I wasn't crazy over. After some pondering and realizing that I wouldn't be purchasing any frames this visit, I left with a somewhat sour taste in my mouth. I've been wearing contacts for the past months. Angelica was very patient with me when it came to picking my frame, she even grabbed different options from the back. I go to LensCrafters mainly for the convenience, and this branch nothing but inconvenient! I was thinking of getting new lenses for a pair of sun glasses that I had ought a couple of years ago, and I was told that they were able to do it for me right away because they have all the information (measurements, tinting, etc.) in the system. I told them I wanted the lenses exactly how I currently have it. They said that I would just need to drop of my frames, and they'll pop it in. I went ahead and ordered the lenses. A few days later, I went back to drop off my frames and found that they did not do the lenses. I was then told by a rude woman, who I later found was the manager, that they needed the frames to make the lenses. It was going to be an hour and a half wait. I left the frames and left the mall. I went back a few days later. Then, I found that the tinting was not right. It was going to be another hour and a half wait. I asked to speak to the manager. This was when I found out that the rude woman I spoke with before was the manager. These are the last glasses I will ever get at LensCrafters!!! read more

Came in with my mom for her glasses they said it would take a week. It's been two weeks and I haven't received a call. So I called after week one, held on the phone for 5 minutes wondering if they forgot about me and they said give them another week. Called after week 2, and as I'm still on hold at 17 minutes and 15 seconds the person who answered my call said "ok well we're really busy so you're just going to have to wait" places me on hold without even asking or giving me other options. Please tell me how it's my fault that you're under staffed. I'm still a customer paying out of pocket whether I'm in the store or on the phone waiting to get a simple yes your glasses are here or no they haven't come in yet sorry. I haven't even had to wait this long over the phone calling other companies where all I get is an automated answer and probably the worst way to answer your customers answer. I have a super, super small face that makes shopping for the right glasses a challenge. In the past, I always have to resort to the little kids glasses (even though I am a young adult). It is even more challenging to shop in the little kids section, since I have to pick glasses that looks appropriate for my age. I like LensCrafters for the customer service and the fact that they have a petite adult glasses section. Although the petite adult glasses still didn't fit my face, this option gives me a small sign of hope. :))) I also liked their little kids section, as I had more options to choose from. In the past, I have been to optical shops that only has 1 pair of little kiddie glasses in their entire store that fit me and was age appropriate. BUT, at LensCrafters, I have 3 pairs that were options. I love having options. read more
