Just a warning to those, like us, pay a lot of extra money for the convenience of one hour service at LensCrafters, they have shuttered their in store labs and it now takes two weeks minimum to have your glasses made. They told us NOTHING until Donna and I had completed our exams and had chosen frames and were about to pay. I said, we'll be back in an hour. That's when they busted out their little news flash. Talk about a bait and switch! No bueno! We paid for the exams, and walked out, never to return! read more

I left Stonewood mall lenscrafters due to their terrible staff and i came here instead. it was a completely different experience. I was able to buy new glasses, get reccomendations on a better fit for me, get the best price, and receive great service. I dont think I got the name of the lady that helped me tonight but she wore a white blouse today with colored (blue or purple?) Raybans. She was working tonight 9/1/17 around 7pm. The Lens Crafters in the Cerritos Mall is the first place I've gotten eye glasses and have been extremely satisfied with their service and turnaround time for prescription eye wear. On Wednesday, Deccember 20 at approx. 1900 hrs I came back to this location to ask a question about my broken frames. They looked up my profile and advised me that my Polo glasses that I purchased, protection plan was expired by exactly one week. The sales attendant asked me to stand by so she could ask her manager if he/she would sign the approval to have my glasses taken care of by the expired protection policy. She came back and asked for my glasses sounding like it was a "GO." I told her that I didn't have my glasses and that they were being serviced by another optometrist (who broke my glasses). I advised the sales attendant that it would be great if they could take care of me and maybe I could utilize the protection plan and I could maybe save some money. The sales attendant told me that once I get my glasses, I should come back and more than likely the manager will sign the approval since its only been a week and she's seen them do it before but she made it a point to make sure that I get the glasses in ASAP. So with that being said, I called my other optometrist and told them that I needed my glasses asap so I can try to get their mess fixed (since they broke my glasses and won't reimburse me for the damages .... I signed a contract that they weren't liable if they damage my glasses). We put a rush on my glasses to get shipped over night from Sacramento. The glasses get shipped to my optometrist in Long Beach today 12/22/17 and I make it a point to get out of work early so I can pick up my glasses and get them to Lens Crafters so I can have daily eye glasses to wear on a daily basis. While on my way to Long Beach I call Lens Crafters just to talk to someone and advise I was on my way and tell them my situation so they'll know what to expect when I get there. Instead I was transferred to their manager Teresa and I tell her my situation but still feeling optimistic that they'll work with me since the sales attendant from a few days ago told me I should be fine and get what we talked about. Teresa goes on and tells me that there's nothing they can do and that they won't honor my claim since my protection plan was expired. I'm just upset cause I desperately need glasses and I was told by one of their sales associates that I should be able to utilize the protection plan since its only a week old and that she's seen them do it before. Leaving work early and trying to rush from downtown LA to Cerritos was a nuisance and a waste of time. I really wish I wasn't given that false hope. read more

So I walked into this store because I was given a coupon from a friend. If I did not have this coupon I would have walked away. I was looking for glasses for 30 minutes and none of the salesmen even tried to talk to me. I finally made a comment to my girlfriend about how my face is to big for these glasses, and one worker laughed and helped me out. She grabbed 2 trays full of glasses to try on. Then she said that she was going to hand me off to her other coworker. When this new coworker came by she started to offer me some sunglasses to try on, so I could pop out the lens and put in clear ones. I was a good idea until, she was pulling some highlighter color sunglasses. Then when she said was looking for more glasses she just left me for another customer. When I found the glasses I wanted, I actually just told the worker that I would take these. Then they told me to sit down at the table and they would help me out. I then waited another 30 minutes to talk to a worker. Then I asked if I was able to get an eye exam. Then the worker said that I could and she would tell the optometrist right away. Then after waiting for another hour the first worker that greeted me came and helped me, and that she was sorry because the worker just barely told her that we were waiting for an eye exam. She did the initial exams and the optometrist did her thing. Now at the 3 hour mark, we waited another hour because the new worker helping me took an hour trying to figure out how to work a computer. So it took me 4 hours to get my new glasses. I am giving them 2 stars because the optometrist and the assistant were great and actually were doing their jobs right. PS I over heard the manager saying that someone stole 9 pairs of sunglasses in the morning and she did not realize until she was closing.... If I was the owner of this place I would do something differently. read more

There's always an issue when I come here. The people are rude. There's a long wait even with appointment. I finally went somewhere else and found out Lenscrafters had be in the wrong prescription for a year. I'm a -5 in contacts and they had be in a -5.75. When I complained, they only made it stronger. Dr. A Pham was excellent will give her 5 stars, but the Lenscrafter staff very dishonest! I took my 88 year old mother for eye exam and new glasses. Exam perfect service and the ordering process went very well, but after receiving the glasses made for my mother there was an issue with the transition not turning dark enough. So, we took the glasses back to show that the glasses were not turning very dark and was told by Brandy that we needed to pay an additional $75 because we did not choose the darkest level. First of all the Asst Mgr Joey did not tell us there were 3 level shades. He said he was giving us the darkest shade. Brandy said, no there are 3 levels, so I ask to speak to the Mgr I believe was Theresa. She told me there was a new transition process and there are 3 levels. So, within 4 days from the time we picked up the glasses there was a new transition process came out and now we had to pay an additional $75, this did not make sense to me and I expressed that to Theresa and she told me if we did not want to pay the additional $75 she will just take the glasses back and refund our money. Theresa did nothing to accommodate my 88 year old mother. Had she been more willing to meet us half way we would of went with it, but no she was not. She was rude and unprofessional! Had we were made aware of the 3 level shades and quoted the additional $75 from the beginning we would of paid it, but after the fact, that is just stealing from the elderly. I will take my business elsewhere, where the staff is caring and not wanting to cheap a senior citizen. read more

I would not recommend LensCrafters to anyone, or at least this location. I came in on a Sunday to pick out my glasses for a new prescription I got from my optometrist. I picked out my glasses and paid and got the new ones within an hour or so. Everything was fine until I notice my left eye wasn't adjusting to the new prescription. So the next day, Monday, I go back to LensCrafters and tell them that my left eye doesn't seem to be adjusting to the prescription and ask them if they did it right according to what my optometrist had given me. So they go and check and come back saying that yeah they did everything right according to the prescription and that maybe my optometrist gave me a wrong prescription. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and go the next day, which was today, and tell my optometrist what LensCrafters said. So he checks out my new glasses and prescription and tells me that actually LensCrafters were the ones who made a mistake that they have done before with other of his patients and that I have to go back to get them fixed. And aside from this I am charged $35 for the office visit of my optometrist, which I wouldn't have spent on if LensCrafters had noticed when I first went to them that they were the ones who actually made the mistake and not my optometrist. So I got back to LensCrafters and tell them what my optometrist said and ask them if they would reimburse me for the office visit because I came to them first and they told me they made my glasses right when they obviously didn't, but they refused to reimburse me and just say that they will fix the glasses. I am very upset with the trouble I had to go through and that I had to spend $35 extra just because LensCrafters messed up on my glasses. I will definitely not be coming back here. read more

I came here for an appointment today expecting to be have to spend 2-3 hours there since it was the weekend. They proved me wrong! I was seen, examined, and given a prescription all in about an hour and half. The service was very friendly, esp. Sandra. Hazel was also very helpful in getting my sister's glasses done. My past experience with Lenscrafters has not been the rosiest road. Tonight, they redeemed themselves many times over. First, Dr.Cindy Lee was amazing, so easy to talk to about my concerns. The most amazing part of my experience this evening was dealing with Melissa. After I ranted for at least 15 minutes about my previous and terrible experience at Lenscrafters, she did everything she could to make my experience tonight perfect ... and she succeeded my times over. She regained my loyalty and made my experience fantastic. If you need glasses go to Dr. Lee for your check up and see Melissa for glasses, you will not regret it. read more

I love their customer service and it is really superb. I had an appt on Friday at 1:20pm but came in 15 mins late, yet they still accommodate my needs. They reschedule my appt at 3pm same day. Just to make a story short, I came back at 3pm and Dr. Wong did such a phenomenal job of doing my eyes test and so afterwards, he suggested to have one of his asst to orient me how to put contacts on. Omg!!! I love Sandra... Sandra helped me to show me how to properly put my eye contacts. I would highly give a million times of Sandra's great customer service. Avoid, avoid, avoid! The opticians here lack customer service skills and lack understanding and empathy.They don't listen to customer feedback and provide you with below-average lenses. You literally would need to follow around an employee to get a greeting or any help. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

We bought our seven year old son his first pair of glasses at Lens Crafters today. They were broken within three hours. We brought them back and they replaced the frames free of charge. What a relief! Thank you, Lens Crafters! read more

I walked in as they opened without an appointment hoping to get in and out fast. I had to pick up one son by 12 and the newborn was sleeping in the stroller. They got me in fast, had a trial pair of contacts (never happens with my prescription). I was very pleased! Hopefully the contacts work and I'll be calling soon to order! read more

I've been here twice and I'm amazed at the level of customer service I get. Especially from the doctor. She is so sweet. Attentive and caring. She actually wants to hear what I have to say and then takes it into consideration when helping me figure out what is the best course of action for me. What a concept right? Also the woman who helped me at the front, Melissa. She was so nice and helpful. And they didn't try to talk me into a bunch of expensive stuff I don't need. I would highly suggest Lenscrafters when you need glasses. I went to Cerritos Mall and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent care and service that was provided for me. Diane helped me find glasses which was very difficult because I've never worn glasses (even though I needed them) and I don't like them. She was extremely patient with me and finally found a pair and at a decent price. She was very thorough and got me the best price. I was very impressed by her professionalism and helpfulness. Everything is good. They helped me with my insurance and helped me to pick which kind of frame fits me. What I do wrong is i should not do my eye exams here. I was just tried to do regular eye exam. Which they told me was 20 . And I also want to do the exams for contacts too. After that they finish everything... it cost me 120 .... read more

I have been going to this lens crafter location for 20 years. A week ago I went in to get new glasses. I was treated well by Ruth and was told my glasses will be ready within the next two weeks. I received a text to pick them up. I called to see if I needed to make an appointment to pick them up. I was told that they would meet me at the entrance to the mall and hand me my glasses. I said this was not OK because I needed to make sure they did not need adjustments. They did allow me to come in and try my glasses on. The problem is they only had one pair of the two I had ordered. The person who waited on me was impatient and acted like she was doing me a favor. I asked her why I wasn't notified after both of my glasses were in and she answered we send a text for each pair. This is not been the case over the last 20 years. I understand that COVID-19 has changed a lot of things. It seems it is now changed customer service, attitudes towards customers and disregard for their needs and or time. I will not be going back to Lens crafters again. If they do not survive it will not be because of the pandemic but rather the way they treat their customers. I'm so disappointed. read more

I've been wearing glasses for 20 years and I'd always dread buying my next pair, but not this time. DIANE, the store manager, helped me. I told her how I keep buying glasses and never feel like they look pretty on me. She helped me pick a pair that look great! I finally feel like I can wear my glasses out in public, when I would usually just always wear my contacts. I highly recommend this place, especially Diane! She was honest to tell me what style looked best on me and kept my confidence high. read more

This is beyond frustrating. I've been waiting for my for glasses for 10 days, and it's still not ready. The staff that was assisting me told me to give them up to 10 days to arrive since it was a special order. They barely ordered the frame 2 days ago!!! They're apology was pretty robotic, "we understand your frustration, we will call you as soon as it arrives". At this point I just want to cancel everything, and get a refund. read more

I really like this location and have bought several glasses from here. Their sales team is really nice and always helpful. I had a pair of glasses that broke and I needed new ones, well I was so in love with the frame and kept asking them to see if they had it in inventory and they called about 8 local stores and searched online for me - the frame ended up being discontinued :( Sad times. This past weekend, I was browsing the frames and one of the sales girls, Jackie (I hope that's her name!) was so helpful in her opinion on which frames looked best. She didn't try to upsell me or drag me to the more expensive frames, which was nice! Lenses took an hour and out the door I was. read more

The selection is good, they have new technology also. I walked in not planning on scheduling an eye exam but they said they had an appt available for 30mins later, I said ok, waited about 45mins to actually be seen, after I selected my glasses the sales guy had to get my info cuz his computer restarted, apparently it had done it 2x so far in the day. Then he says the glasses would be ready in 10days, we said ok, then he said they would actually be ready in 1hr & 30mins, great! Me&my mom waited in my car the entire time since we were tired from having already walked around the mall, 1 hr & 30mins we go back, the guy says that they have to charge me for the eye exam because they forgot & that my glasses would actually be ready 10days...are you serious?? He was pretty insistent on me paying for the eye exam right then & there but I said I'd pay for them when I pick up my glasses. read more

I had an eye exam done here last year and I was not impressed, waited forever even with my appt., but I need to do another one, so I called three times to make appt., and three times was put on hold longer than 8 minutes. Until I gave up. Never again!!! read more

I went in today looking to get my prescription installed on a pair of old frames that belonged to my father back in the 80's. After almost an hour of going through which type of lenses i wanted , premium and transition etc... the guy measured my frames and once the manager came to approve the measurements, she noticed that the lab techs might not be able to put my lenses into this specific frame. I was so heartbroken not to mention overwhelmed as my child threw her third violent tantrum of the hour. I really wanted to use my father's frames. The manager Diane, went back and forth and with my luck, even their computer froze. She told me to hang on just a few more minutes. I thought i was just waiting to hear another "unfortunately" but to my surprise Diane was actually writing down my measurements manually and doing all she could to help me out. She finally let me know that i would be able to use my father's old frames! They were ready in less than 2 hours and she handed them to me looking seriously, brand new!!! The fact that i can wear the same glasses my dad wore when he met my mom is so special to me. Diane was so awesome and so focused on making it possible for me. Im so grateful for her can-do attitude and determination. read more

Twice now I've called to reschedule and then don't get a confirmation call, so I WILL call to confirm and of course my appt was not there and already taken. The last person said its a "copy and paste" issue, that's no excuse! The blonde lady is also really abrasive, unfriendly, and rude. I've had to wait for 45 min because they allow appts to be late, and will take them before you. Not okay! If I'm there on time, the late appt should wait. The contacts I've always ordered from a different optometry place are $25 a box, lens crafters quoted me $55!! For one box!! I will be taking my Rx to 1800contacts. Bottom line, BAD customer service. I won't return to this location after my follow up today, which I'm not looking forward to. read more

I walked out of there with my glasses on my face within 15 min of placing my order . I come from the school of having to come back in 5-7buisness days for my glasses . Because of change of insurance had to choose a different eye doctor. I had chosen lens crafters in Cerritos because of where they are located. It's close to where I live. I was seen by 2 optometrist and they were great, no issues with them. I had issues with the optician that was suppose to help me with ordering my contact lenses. She told me to wait for 5min and she'll be right back to help me she said. I saw her helping 2other male customers and had sat down with one of them already. It turned out that she had forgotten me. I waited 20min before she realized that's she had forgotten me. Another staff had to remind her about me. My total time from the time I got in to the store to the time I left was about 2 1/2 hrs. my husband and I was here yesterday and asked if they will accept our insurance. A certain Joseph McDermed got my info and my husband's info and checked it on his tablet. He told us that our insurance will be accepted and we were asked if we want to make an appointment, so we did. He even made some computations and show some discounts. Our appointment was today at 3pm. We were there by 2:45pm got checked in and filled up the info they even never check my appointment time to verify just as first come first serve basis. By 3:30 my husband was called inside the exam room getting started and someone came to me and said that my husband's name was not coming up only my name since I'm the primary. I asked if they can called the insurance but i was told that they are not allowed to call the insurance provider, it's because they are not in the network. So I called and found out that they are out of network. We can push it through but will cost more. So I asked them how come we were told yesterday that everything is ok then now it's not. Is it some type of a scam so they can get customers to go ahead with the procedure and get their service for you not to back out? Very disappointing! If I can give 0 star I will but since I can't I will give 1 star just to post the review. read more

Went in yesterday for an eye exam and got some great customer service. The doctor and workers were very welcoming. I ordered the glasses I wanted because they weren't in stock but they made the experience easy and fast.. the exam and glasses were a bit pricey since I don't have insurance but overall great place. read more

The "meh, I've experienced better" is very appropriate to my overall satisfaction. That said: Optometrist: I forget who I saw, since this was over a year ago, but I do recall they were quite helpful. I do recall it was an Asian lady. Answered all of my questions thoroughly but jargon-free, but got a little testy when I started asking about contact lenses. She did, however, keep the same level of information when she explained why my request wasn't the most feasible. Overall, 4.5 stars out of 5 for the doc. Sales Staff: Nothing special. Didn't stand out as great, didn't stand out as poor. I give them a completely average rating, 2.5 stars out of 5. Glasses: This is where I'm heavily docking the points. The frames, from day 1, have fit very poorly. If I tilted my head down, the glasses slid down, to the point where they could, solely by their own weight, fall off my head. The entire selection of frames is ridiculously overpriced, and in addition to trying to upsell you on the various coatings and such for lenses, depending on the types of lenses you get, you HAVE to get specific, higher-priced coatings, etc. The fit of these glasses is also why I'm writing this article - I recently fell, and the frames bent in the fall. I reshaped them by hand (no, I don't consider this a problem), and they fit orders of magnitude better. From day 1, they have functioned for allowing me to see, which is the only reason they get above a zero rating, with a 1 star out of 5. Final verdict? I wouldn't say "avoid this place like the plague" because the people aren't diseased... But I would say "go to Costco Optometry at the one by the Lakewood Mall." I've had much better success with Costco Optometry, for a fraction of the cost. I wish I had known that it was in my insurance's network, and saved myself all this trouble. LensCrafters at the Cerritos Mall gets a begrudging 2 stars out of 5. read more
