Ramy has been doing my hair for a couple years now and I have never been disappointed. I trust him so much that I don't even walk in with photos of what I want, I usually just let him do his thing because I know I will love it. I was just there recently actually because I was traveling overseas and foolishly trusted someone else to give me a touch up... lesson learned though because I ended up with orange hair! The salon itself is unevenly lit, makes it very difficult to tell how highlights have come out especially as a brunette. The black walls and lack of even lighting throughout makes for a nervous end result. Generally I have to wait until I exit the salon to see the results, which is not ideal if you have to return to get something fixed (which has happened). That being said Jessica is a highlighting genius! This was my first time with her and after I left the salon I was able to truly see how amazing my hair looked. I wish I was able to experience this in the salon! Please consider better lighting!! Today I went to Ramy for a new haircut and I'm OBSESSED with the outcome! He gave me exactly what I wanted. I went from hair just past my collarbone to an inverted bob. Cutting that much hair off is always a little butterfly-inducing, even when you've had shorter hair before like I have. But Ramy is so chill that once I sat down, I was good to go. And the result has me so ridiculously happy! All staff I interacted with were pleasant and the general atmosphere in there is very calming, even in these crazy times! The first time I came here was for a trim. Everything was great and the cut came out reasonably well. The second time I came here I decided to chop off 4+ inches and go with a level, shoulder length, cut. When she turned me around to look it was extremely choppy with a HUGE level put into it. When I brought it to her notice she said it would relax into my hair (this makes no sense since I asked for ONE length). I have rewashed it and let it air dry and it's worse than I thought. I am so disappointed in the lack of supervision in this salon for the beginner stylist. Upon showing my cut to friends in the field they were appalled. I now have to cut off a huge chunk of hair to make it a very short bob and travel 2 hours to go back to my hometown stylist. Never again!!!!! She was great, and it is the best cut and color/foil I have had since moving to this area. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the service. Definitely will be returning! After reading all of the positive reviews, and having never actually been to a salon before, I had to check this place out. Laura Jane did an absolutely wonderful job as she explained what she was doing. I was nervous but she talked me down and I'm really glad she did. The atmosphere is warm and clean. Everyone had smiles, everyone was attentive. After going to places like Supercuts and the like for years, this might just be the place I get my hair done from now on. The slight increase in price is worth it for the closer location, lack of children running around/screaming, and professionalism from everyone. One, tiny complaint: I wish I could give a tip from my card. As someone who doesn't carry cash, this was frustrating. I know for the future but you should be able to do this. Other places can. I got my bangs cut by Thea and she was amazing. I am very particular with my hair and I haven't gotten bangs for a very long time. Thea reassured me that she can do the job and she did do a great job. As for the hair salon, it looks clean and stylish. People tell me that presentation matters and it really does. I know there are a lot of places with talented stylists but of course you should take care of the salon, and Leonardo takes excellent care of their place. Went in for a simple braided updo, and the stylist made me look awful... My hair looked so incredibly bad. I tried to let the stylist know what was wrong but there was no understanding what I wanted, even after I showed a picture of the updo a handful of times- clearly the stylist does not typically do updos.. OR BRAIDS for that matter. Literally couldn't even do a french braid!! It was a horrible, horrible experience and I can assure you I will never go back there again. Im sure this business has incredibly loyal customers, but proceed for an updo with caution. read more

if the stylist has an issue with time, maybe not take on the client ? my son and I got our cuts, wash and gel in less than 30 minutes. told him to keep as much of my hair as possible and gave a picture of what I would like done and it looks NOTHING close to the picture. barber shop quality for salon pricing should be your slogan. read more

The place is unassuming but, spacious enough inside, and in a convenient location (parking across the road and probably can walk from the wollaston T). It seems like its the same person that washings your hair, cuts/styles, and then takes payment, which can be good (no confusion about how much to tip each other person). However, it was tricky when I tried calling to do a last minute reschedule, but took about 24hrs to get a callback...but after seeing how its done, I am guessing nobody really mans the phones, so if you dont catch someone live, they might not check their VMs till the next day. As for the actual hair cut, I had Jessica who was really personable, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable. She thinned out my hair as well as styled it with some layers, definitely feels alot lighter and more manageable...I've gotten alot of positive compliments on the new style too! Only thing was, wish she did more "checking in" to make sure I liked how everything was turning up in terms of style. FYI - I had a groupon for "up to $60" so it was interesting, as turns out Jessica's cuts are only $40, so dont think I ended up saving much with the groupon...however, I think her price is very reasonable and Jessica did a fantastic job and so I will def be back! read more

I had an excellent experience with Jessica at Leonardo's. I have really odd textured hair. It's very curly, very kinky in some areas, and then wavy in other areas and overall it's extremely thin and fine. Due to lots of past damage and me not really taking proper care of my hair - it truly was disastrous. I looked into getting a "deva curl" haircut which led me to Jessica. She was awesome. The haircut was great. I had to get quite a bit trimmed off, but she really was conservative and tried to keep as much length for me as possible. I was so please with the way it came out, my hair looks 100 times more healthy and revived. i feel like now it will really start to grow in nice with this cut, and with the proper care. The deva curl cut is interesting - she does it on dry hair and just goes through each curl individually and cuts it according to how it grows. It was very different. Jessica was so nice and easy to talk to and very informative about everything. The salon was so cute inside, i loved how it was setup. Overall, I had a great experience and I'd definitely recommend Jessica, she was awesome. EDIT: I wanted to add that it's now been about 2 weeks since I've had my hair done at Leonardos by Jessica....all I can say is that this is the best haircut I've ever gotten. Honestly. Every single day my hair looks nice, it's never frizzy, it falls perfectly, there is no effort. Just throw in a few products and blow dry quickly with the diffuser and I'm all set. It's been growing in wonderfully and I'm just so happy with it. I am so impressed! Amazing results!! My friends and I were headed to a Winter Gala on Saturday night and were looking for a place to get our hair styled. We were able to get appointments for Saturday afternoon easily. When we got to the salon we were greeted and seated very quickly and there were people already there being helped. The ladies at the salon all seemed very friendly and helpful. The salon is clean and cute. Sarah styled my hair. She did a good job. I wasn't crazy impressed with the styling but I wasn't disappointed either. Styling for a special occasion can be a little difficult when it comes to my thin and lifeless hair and I kinda felt the $70 for the style was pricey. I observed as they cut and colored other customers and I really liked their work. I am looking for a salon in the Quincy area so this place may get my service again real soon. read more
