Ham and cheese croissant, mortadella and pesto sandwich
    Jillian B.

I've been a fan of Siena Pizza for years but somehow had never gotten the opportunity to try out Siena Bakehouse until this weekend! My partner and I shared a ham and cheese croissant (super flaky and buttery) and a mortadella&pesto foccaccia sandwich which was also delicious. Both pastries/sandwiches were yummy though I do wish they had more meat/filling!

Nice and quick service. The croissant was nice and warm. Crispy and flaky. The ham was little on the salty side but overall good.

Large croissant! Very pretty :)soft flaky outside fluffy inside! Buttery :) the bathroom is code Locked so it's clean. There is a decent amount of seating. They had an ok amount of options, but not many that I personally wanted to try.

Beautifully presented pastries and sandwiches. Welcoming service. We were greeted warmly upon entry. We got the prosciutto di Parma sandwich. It was stacked with prosciutto and Parmesan and a generous slice of mozzarella. Warmed just enough to heat the bread, but keep the arugula in tact. My only negative is how gross the chairs are. I'm sure most places I sit my butt are gross, but I prefer not to see the germs. Minus 1.5 stars for them, but, with rounding, that still leaves them with 4 stars. Otherwise, I love the terra cotta table tops that match the interior terra cotta touches and the pink tile.

Siena's Nutella donut covered in granulated sugar sure hit the spot for a late afternoon snack. Flavorful, sugary and nutella-y. The shop is right in the middle of a walk from the Battery to One World Trade Center (or reverse).

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and loved the salmon bagel- what a treat, the bread was wonderful with a generous portion of salmon. Also had the croissant and it was perfection as well. Topped with a hazelnut latte, a great spot to grab a quick coffee and bite. Ambiance is up beat, friendly fast staff, clean interior.

Not bad at all. I came across this place hoping to find doughnuts, but they had delicious looking muffins and other pastries. So, I got the blueberry miffin with a Nutella pastry with orange juice. The total was $23 and some change which shocked me. The taste was good, but pretty expensive.

We've fallen in love with this cute little corner bakery during our 2-week period of frequent visits to downtown nyc. Involved with me dropping wife off and waiting in the car for 30-60 minutes at a time and thank God that Siena is here! Atmosphere (5/5) - I first noticed it while driving by because of their full-length glass facade showing ppl cozy and enjoying their cup of joe and croissants! It's cozy but not tiny, with comfortable seatings. Music not too loud, employees smiling, great vibe. Food (5/5) - I ordered bunch of things so far, starting with - Smoked salmon everything bagel (5/5) - an employee swore his undying love for this one when asked btwn that and a croissant sandwich, and it was a winner! Beautiful to look at, crunchy as hell on the first bite, and surprisingly loaded with oodles of smoked salmon. Slices of avocado and tomato on top of that means there's no way to eat gracefully without spillage so pull your plates close and enjoy the chomp. I found the croissant-like bagel a pleasure to bite into, and while slightly salty, it was balanced out with the rest of the ingredients. Don't let its size fool you - you'll be full for 3 hrs! - Sausage pastry (5/5) - I forgot the name but it's in the pics. Unassuming flaky number with flavorful sausage and other toppings (tomato?$ rounding out the robust flavor. Smaller than the lox bagel but still nicely filling. - Lattes and coffees were on-point as well. I had a PSL that tasted good without overpowering sweetness found in most, and enjoyed a full-bodied drip. Service - this is self-serve type of place so you are informed to bring your plates to the back rubbish area. One key locked bathroom for after-Joe break, and the bakery staff are pleasant and nice. This one set a high bar for me in all that a bakery/cafe should be. You should stop by - you won't be disappointed.

I had the Nutella cheesecake and it was delicious. Generous with the Nutella. Their drip coffee was good too, not burnt like most places.

We stopped by Sienna Bakehouse for breakfast before our Statue of Liberty tour and it was a great choice. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a quick but quality bite. I had the croissant lox sandwich and it was delicious--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. Definitely a solid spot to fuel up before a day of sightseeing. Would gladly come back next time we're in the area!

Not pictured: some of the biggest sandwiches I've ever seen in my life. This is a casual bakery/cafe in Fidi. I didn't try the coffee, but I ordered a BEC on a croissant, and my friend ordered a BEC and a crème brûlée donut. The BEC hit the spot. The croissant was buttery and flaky, the bacon was sizzling, and the cheese was the perfect temperature and melted nicely. It was tasty and exactly what I needed on a cold day. My friend has been wanting to try a crème brûlée donut for a while and said this one absolutely delivered. The crème brûlée sugar on top was crunchy and cracked in a satisfying way. All the other pastries looked divine, and the coffee smelled good. This bakery is right off the 1 train at the Rector stop, and it's near the West Side Highway pier if you want to take your pastry for a walk!

The orange has a base made of chocolate Rice Krispies. All of them have more fruity filling than the mousse. They are very fragile. I recommend eating there if you can. Finding can be a challenge because it's busy and there aren't many seats. I got mine to go just to be taken to the park across the street . The mushroom kind are totally ruined. It has strawberriy jelly and it was a mess. The orange one was almost ruined too. The mango has some diced mangoes. I devoured three of them instantly. Definitely come back to try more.

There was no place to sit down because of how busy it was but the staff kept the line moving quick enough. The place still seemed reasonably stocked with their desserts and treats, despite the late afternoon time that I arrived. I ordered 4 different treats to go and they're packed in small box individually. Unfortunately, they didn't quite stay intact during my trek back to my hotel and were tumbled around in the boxes. Nonetheless, the taste and flavors held up well and even after a few days in the fridge. The yuzu daisy has this vivid pastel yellow-pink base and adorable gelatinous yellow gem atop a white flower. The yuzu gives a subtle infusion of tart that is balanced out by the light delicate skin texture of the rest. Sitting atop a thin round rice crispy. I loved the red mushroom one which is a creamy pink mousse inside the cap. The stalk is a thin porcelain-white chocolate light base also filled with a rich cream. Adjacent are two cute little tree nuts. The orange and mango have such vivid colors and are aesthetically pleasing too. Just like the previous ones, their delicate chocolate exterior houses a rich tarty mousse-y filling. I think the mushroom has a better balance and variety of flavors. Although I don't eat mousse treats often, I look forward to trying some of the other ones in the future, like the blueberry, banana and cloud.
