Horrible experience getting a new pool pump installed. completely unprofessional. it took such a long time to get it installed. the installer is not competent and broke my electrical wiring had to fix it and made me pay for it. then my pool sweep stopped working which he said was not his fault althought it worked perfectly fine before they installed the pump. these guys are crooks and keep trying to charge you everytime you try to get anything fixed. read more

Worst experience! Do not take your pool equipment to get serviced here they do not know what they are doing kept my pool sweep for a month an never called me never updated me I had to call weekly only to find out after 1 month they still had not started to repair it. Wow, wow, wow. The haters are really out on this one. Lots of one star reviews with lots of different complaints. All I can say is, to each his own. Everyone has their own perspective and story. Here's mine: We moved into the area last year - transplants from the Bay Area. We bought a new home with a pool. Never had a pool before so of course we hire a pool company for service. We went through 3 companies in one year - no one was competent or trustworthy. We have friends who live in Arizona who own a pool service business. They came to visit us one weekend and chided us for not taking care of our own pool. They gave us a tutorial over the weekend and basically filled us in on what we needed to do to manage the pool on our own. A bit overwhelming if I'm being honest but I thought I'd give it a try. Our friends told us to call Leslie's for back-up if I ever need help. By the third week, I was ready for a Leslie's visit. The pool water looked ok but I wanted to make sure I was doing the right things. I brought in some water to get tested - they run it through their system and then give you the results. It takes 5 minutes. They give you a print-out of the chemical analysis of your pool water and then let you know what action, if any, you need to take to get your water up to par. That first visit to Leslie's was on a Monday back in March of 2022. I have been visiting Leslie's every week since then. I bring in my water, they test it and for the most part, I go home and keep doing the same thing - maintaining the chlorine level. They make it pretty easy. On occasion, my pool water was lacking acid or low on the PH, at which point they would let me know what I need to add (or stop adding) to my pool. They have all the product handy there in the store so I buy a gallon or packet of this or that and I'm on my way. I appreciate that they don't try to upsell product - they let me know what I need. I do the basics and that's it. On occasion they have discouraged me from buying product that I *think* I need but they save me the $ by letting me know my pool is fine without it. Over the past year, everyone one I've spoken behind the counter has been friendly and knowledgeable. They have really helped me take care of my pool. It's not an exaggeration to say that I couldn't have done it without them. read more

A very helpful guy named Dakota picked up the phone and went above and beyond to help me. My experience with Leslie's service whom I called to fix a leak in one of my valves in my pool equipment assembly: 1) Technician called in time and informed that he is showing up in the next 15 mins. I requested to give me 5 mins extra and show up at 9:00am (since I was finishing a meeting). Technician mentioned he had another back to back appointment but agreed to show up 5 mins later 2) Technician inspected leak and mentioned valve needs to be replaced and gave TWO options 3) I choose the more expensive option Here starts the problem: 1) Technician tells me that he doesnt have the replacement valve and I will have to go to the Leslie shop order and pick up the valve. Technician will be informed through their internal system when I pick up the valve and will come back for the replacement 2) I get the quote with the visitation charge showing up TWICE 3) On asking, technician says that he is double charging since he has to come back to replace the valve. 4) I tell him, I am not comfortable paying the visitation charge twice since HE DOES NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED PART necessary to complete the job 5) I talk to his supervisor over the phone and the same discussion repeats with her as well 5) I tell the supervisor that I am going to make the double visitation payment but leave a review 6) At this point, the technician starts acting rude and says he is not willing to service my call any longer and started complaining that I am delaying his next appointment by talking to his supervisor and he has had slept only 3 hrs at night and I cannot get anyone else to service my leak at a cheaper rate Endpoints for Leslie's: 1) If your technician was in such a hurry and had a back to back appointment why did he even make a visit? Just to charge me for an extra visit? Parking is always an issue people from neighboring restaurants constantly park in front of the store. I mentioned it to the employees. They don't seem to be concerned . Their water testing device is out of calibration or out of service. In the last two months, they never seem to have shocks or chlorine for our spa. I called a few time to see if they had dry acid and there was no answer so i drove to the store and they were out. They suggested that I come back on Monday when they were expecting a delivery. On Monday I called 4 or 5 times to see if they had received a new shipment...no answer, no voicemail. Tuesday: no answer Wednesday: Same thing Thursday: Same thing. 5 calls and no answer, so I drove to the store (20 min ea. way) and they were STILL OUT of dry acid. When I asked why they never answer the phone they were incredibly rude and dismissive and said if you need something you have to come into the store. I recommend getting your supplies on Amazon and purchasing a test kit. you can surpass their "expertise" and do it yourself. dealing with those boneheads is a waste of time! read more

I went in this morning to ask questions on my salt cell and have my water tested. (Pretty simple) Joshua could not answer any of my questions re: salt cell but , sold me 95.88 worth of chemicals (conditioner and perfect weekly) I told him I just put 2-gallons of conditioner 3-weeks ago. I knew my salt cell was out due to the readings he read me No Chlorine! Instead of him recommending me to bring in my salt cell to be tested he sent me on my way! I then went right back in to return the product. I went home and decided I would just purchase a new salt cell. I called the same store and got (Joshua H.) I again asked him to check and verify the price of the Jacuzzi Salt Cell to replace my Hayward T -15. He put me on hold came back to tell me 999.99. I told him it is on sale for 399.00. He put me on hold came back and said NO. I then told him I was just there and it was on the shelf and asked him if he looked on the right hand side of the store as you enter that is where they are located. He said I can't see over there. I told him can you leave the counter and check. He put me on hold again came back to say Dakota the assistant Mgr. will have to call me back give me your name and number. Which I did not give him. I asked him who was the Mgr and I will be calling back.. What a joke! I then called over to Leslies in Roseville on Douglas who kindly said yes we have the Jacuzzi Salt Cell in stock yes on sale for $399.00 and for me to bring in mine and they will test it for me. I drove over to Douglas when the other Leslie's is right down the street (I could walk there). Leslie's on Douglas store #270 tested my Salt Cell which did fail. Needless to say they arrived filthy dirty and on one the strap was completely torn apart. I bought a pool sweep here to replace the one that broke at home. Salesman was helpful but did not know much about the various sweeps. I asked if I could return it if needed and was told yes. When I got home I decided to return it as I wanted something better so I went in to the store the next day. Both employees were outside the building smoking cigarettes. An excellent team at the Stanford Ranch store. Cliff was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. I needed new lights for my pool and he helped me select the right LED upgrade lights. The light installers, Joel and Chris, were exceptional. They arrived on time, were professional and friendly and did a fantastic job. However, they didn't just do the task and go, they showed me how the lights and light shows worked. I noted that my controller system was a bit dated and Joel and Chris got on the computer and found an upgrade kit for me and explained how it worked. I ordered the upgrade kit from Cliff and Chris and Joel installed it yesterday. They did an amazing job and their suggestion to get the upgrade kit was outstanding. I am very happy with the new system. I will keep going to Leslie's for my pool maintenance projects and I will request to have Joel and or Chris to do the work. Highly recommend!! read more

Called Leslie pool supply because I've heard they are a great company. A woman named Amber answered the phone. I asked if they carried kiddie style pools, she said yes and when I inquired how much they cost she proceeded to inform me that she didn't know and she is busy helping other customers right now. Seems like a better answer would have been "I'm not sure but if you wouldn't mind hold I'll find out" or something along those lines. I personally have never been there but my first impression with Amber told me never to go there especially if people like Amber are working there. It was incredibly rude.
