The nutella strawberry and banana dessert ufo
Rathana K.

Let me just say: I've had my fair share of burgers, but this little food truck parked right on the street in Hollywood? It might've just served me one of the most fun and flavorful meals I've had in a while. We came looking for the viral UFO burgers I kept seeing online, and there it was Less Mess Burger, parked on Vine by Trader 's Joe. I orderd the Alien Style Fries, fries loaded with chicken, cheese, and bacon. It was hot, cheesy, crispy, and yes... a total mess but a good mess. I would suggest don't wear white. Then I had the Mushroom UFO Burger that UFO shaped bun was toasted to perfection. The burger was juicy, loaded with sautéed mushrooms, and full of real-deal flavor. You can tell they care about what they're serving even from the back of a truck. But here's what surprised me most: the UFO dessert. Strawberries, bananas, and warm Nutella wrapped in a crispy, golden bun. I wasn't planning on dessert... but I also wasn't planning to finish the entire thing. Parking is street-side and it's a food truck, so don't expect tables and tablecloths. Just grab it hot, eat it curbside, and savor the experience. The vibe is street food but out of this world street food. The truck is very clean and the worker was very nice and friendly.

been seeing this viral UFO burger all over my feed and I finally gave in. a burger that doesn't fall apart or drip everywhere?? say no more. Less Mess Burger lives up to the hype: juicy, flavorful & actually stays together. the loaded bacon cheese fries & healthy(ish) chicken bowl are bomb! dreaming about them til now. the lemonade was super refreshing too - perfect pairing with all the savory bites. Less Mess is a food truck so they rotate locations & hours, but if you spot them near you... don't walk, run.

Beef bowl with fries and bacon

I happened to see this food truck on a random afternoon in Burbank, and boy am I glad that I did! I ordered the beef bowl with fries and bacon. The fries were well seasoned and crispy, the bacon wasn't a strip or two; it was chunks of pork belly/bacon - so delicious. The house sauce was a thousand island type of aioli with lots of creaminess and flavor. The beef patty was well seasoned and was paired with a gooey cheese that completely compliments the flavor. The whole thing is topped with cilantro (?) which I wasn't sure about at first, but once I got a taste I understood why it was added and I'm sure you will, too. If you're lucky enough to be around this food truck, do yourself a favor and try them!

Food was great for a late night out! Its a food truck right by Hollywood Blvd. So if u dont want a sit down restaurant or a street vendor this is right in the middle! We got the inferno burger! And it was actually spicy! I personally did not love the fries! But i am coming back for the nutella strawberry banana sandwich!

At the Dana Point Maritime Festival I came upon the Less Mess Burger food truck. With the weather perfect on Sunday, it seemed like a good day for burger at one of the outdoor tables that was set up. I looked at the video that was playing on the truck and the UFO burger (so called because it looks like one) seemed different than an ordinary burger and the sealed in shape, according to the video, locked in the juices. So I ordered a Less Mess Swiss Burger. Sure enough, after a little wait it arrived in a paper bowl, the first burger I've had that was shaped like a UFO. However, when I bit into the burger it wasn't all that juicy and I couldn't taste the Swiss cheese. Rather than be loaded with ingredients, the way I like burgers, it seemed to be light on them. The bun was also bland. The burger definitely delivered on its "less mess" claim. But, as a burger that was indulgent and filled with juicy taste, it really didn't deliver. It was good burger but not a great one.

We had the inferno burger at a level 5 out of 6. If you love spicy food, GET.THIS.BURGER!!!! It's perfectly spicy and the spice does not compromise the flavor. The enclosed bun allows the flavor to infuse all the components of the burger, which makes it truly unique. The owner is passionate about his craft and absolutely wants you to enjoy his food. Although everything is cooked to order, the food comes out quickly and it's nice and hot and definitely fresh. Can't wait to go back!

Nico Style fries!

So I went back after my first experience! The food was great the first time but it was a little cold. So, NICO hooked it up! Made everything fresh and made sure I waited for it and OH MY GAWD! Wow! Wowza! Literally the best loaded fries I have ever tasted! And besides that, the customer service! Customer service is DEAD and he made me feel like a valued customer! This truck is parked outside my building all the time on Vine street and I'm gonna come buy food here JUST BECAUSE OF NICO! Thank you!!!!!!!!! I love to cook but I would like to support this business because they CARE!

My boyfriend and I decided to try this viral UFO shaped burger. A food truck located right in front of Ralph's and across the street from a Baskin-Robins. Less Mess Swiss Burger - Good and savory. I expected the burger to be more sealed like a crustable, but maybe it was just my luck today. My burger was more like a smash burger (as shown in my photo). But true to its' name..less mess. Actually, there was no mess even though mine was not sealed all the way! Grilled chicken bowl - We probably did not need to order this, but of course we were ordering with our stomaches. This was packed with a TON of cheese and bacon. Quite heavy, but really good. I like whatever their secret sauce is! Lots of flavor! Overall rating would be 4/5. I would definitely get it again if I am in the area. Total wait time was about 15-20 minutes to get our food.

Believe it or not, they claim this is a hamburger.
Marc ..

Not the best experience. Believe it or not, they claim they sell hamburgers. It's the tiniest thing I've ever seen.. It's like a dumpling stuffed in some type of pita with hamburger like ingredients on the inside.. the flavors are definitely not that of a typical American burger. I love Armenian food and kebabs., but I really can't describe the odd taste of this thing. They Charge about $15. For this dumpling/burger.. I understand why there wasn't a single person in line when I arrived at 7 PM

Burger and chicken sandwich

It's very easy to find, right outside the Trader Joes. Parking is easy because they have that huge underground lot. The food here is really good even though I had no idea what to expect with a bun that is sealed shut. The nice part is your food doesn't get all over the place and you can enjoy it without needing many napkins. I enjoyed the flavor the burger and chicken sandwich. They don't taste like the kind of charbroiled burgers you get in most restaurants but remind me more of something you get from a Mediterranean, Armenian or Persian restaurant. It's worth trying if you like burgers and especially worth trying if you like new things. Plus, you're supporting a small business which is a win-win for me.

Ordered the inferno burger. Was the best burger I've ever had! The fries were incredible. Worth the 30 minute drive, would come again!
Armando V.

Incredible under or burger and the fries were the best I've ever eaten, worth the 30 minute drive. Will definitely be back!

It was pouring out and so I was really looking forward to something comforting and special. The burger was small and the compressed UFO style bun robs the bun off its pure essence and fluffiness. The innards were warm and tasty but there was a sweetness that was slightly off putting. I also enjoy the crunch of some crisp lettuce which was absent and not feasible for this type of burger I suppose. The fries were treated with a heavy handed paprika based rub which was undesirable. Overall, no mess, but a less enjoyable burger than I was hoping for. I shall not return

The…read morequality of the beef along with the fact that you can customize the style of the burger instead of being limited to a single option stood out to me the first time I had it. Whether you prefer a classic smash burger with the golden brown crispy edges, the "slim thick" for the times you want more beef, or the larger DH burger for a heartier bite, it feels like the menu offers something for everyone. I went on a typical weekday lunch with my friend, who was craving a top tier burger when Amboy was consistently popping up on lists all over online. It highlighted fresh, house made ingrediants down to the actual patty itself. The beef had a rich, juicy taste without being overly greasy, and every topping felt intentional instead of just piled on. The bun held everything together, making it a balanced start to finish product. I ultimately got the slim thick on the classic Amboy burger for roughly $18 which might seem expensive for a burger. However, you can definitely taste the quality. One thing to note is that seating is very limited. If you plan on arriving on a weekend or holiday, expect not having seating available as inside only had a few spots and right outside had just barely more. Thankfully, Amboy is just as good as a takeout option. I ordered my meal to go, and I was pleasantly surprised on how well everything held up on the trip home. The burger stayed together well with the fries still being crispy with a fluffy interior. Amboy delivers exactly what I was looking for in a great burger: high-quality ingredients, thoughtful customization, and consistently delicious food. I'd gladly recommend anyone0 to check this place out.

We did get the last DH burger (they make limited quantities each day). Overall, you'll be happy if you stick with the DH and an order of fries.
