I am not a fan of diners, but Lester's is good. The sizes of the dishes, the large menu and variety of dishes plus the desserts are amazing. The food is good, some dishes are better tasting than others. I hear the breakfast is delicious. This location is always packed. Its surrounded by office buildings and is a very fast and cheap way to lunch. I have never had to wait for a table. Many people, call in the orders and pick them up. Unfortunately, the line to pay can be long. read more

I came over for dinner with a group of friends before an event at the BB&T center. Lester's was chosen because everyone can find something on the menu to eat. The kids ended with waffles for dinner, one friend had the turkey burger, another the salmon, my daughter had the French dip, and I had that diner staple a turkey melt. I think you choose a diner for variety not that they do any one dish spectacularly well. Having grown up in NJ where diner's are a staple it's always nice to visit one. Lester's is looking a little worn, especially the ripped seats, but the service was warm and fast. Everybody was happy with their food and we made it to our event on time. What more can you ask for. read more

Very disappointed. We ordered chicken Ceasar wrap, no Ceasar. First time had Ceasar so he remade it. Second time had cheese. When we sent it back the manager came out and argued that we ordered no Caesar and that there was no Caesar dressing and we didn't say no cheese. Apparently the cheese is part of the Caesar. But not at the other Lester's diners. Instead of being nice she complained that would be the third portion of chicken. So she went to make another one. After an hour still no wrap. We paid for my meal and left. The waitress couldn't have been more apologetic. This manager clearly doesn't care. We will not be rushing back anytime soon. read more

Excellent diner for breakfast. Great service and friendly ambiance. Always a pleasant experience

They need to keep there masks on at the expediting station when they're packing the food for takeout I called ahead will set aside the fact that it took half an hour to get to turkey club sandwich is prepared What's the sense in putting masks on walking around and then when you go to the to the call station to get the food from the from the cook you takeoff mask and talk yell back-and-forth across the food read more

Turkey tasted funky and was given a hard time when I sent it back, very unprofessional

I went for dinner was not feeling a heavy meal I ordered the western omlet with a side of ham. My friend had the gyro. Friendly staff. Food was average at best. The side of ham was not what I expected. read more

i was uncertain about leaving this review. i went for lunch and my salad had a bug in it. I brought it to the waitress attention. She was very apologetic and said she would show manager. she offered me a replacement salad which I did not want after my experience. She then offered me a soup in replacement. However thinking about it since then, I am just surprised that the manager did not come over to apologize nor was any part of my meal comp'd. Disappointed at the lack of customer attention after such an incident from Management. read more

Meh.... just meh. The other location downtown is better. We went here a week ago with our kids and crammed ourselves into a tiny booth. It was about 11:30am and they gave us breakfast menus. I was confused because it's a diner and thought there would be all different kinds of food served at all different times of day... one menu? I guess there's different menus for lunch? I really wanted a club sandwich... ordered breakfast.... saw someone else with a club sandwich so I guess they got the lunch menu. Boo! Service was slow, had to send back a coffee cup with lipstick on it. Just overall meh... there are better breakfast (& lunch if they give you the menu) places. read more

I had breakfast here on Christmas morning with the fam. We were seated right away and attended to promptly. I ordered the country fried steak. It was delicious. By far the best I've ever had. The breading was very tasty and it wasn't too thick. The meat was extremely tender. The gravy served with it had amazing flavor and the perfect consistency. The only thing I didn't like were the biscuits served with it. They had a strange lemon flavor and the texture was off. This was probably my third time ever eating at a diner and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was good, restaurant was clean, and the food tasted very fresh. I'm giving 4 stars purely for my experience. My father did mention his cheese omelette only had cheese on half the omelette and the cheese wasn't mixed in but just laid on top. He still enjoyed the flavor though. read more

I have been coming to this location for dinner every or every other Sunday for almost 15 years, that last year by myself, and tonight I go in and they tell me they won't seat a table of one. I walked out and will never step foot in this place again. Whether it is new ownership or something else, this place has become nothing but trash. read more

First time here and kinda disappointed. The Greek salad was decent. I ordered the Greek combo and the moussaka was made with a bottom layer of tasteless, dry pasta. The spanakopita was also dry and looked microwaved and the rice was bland boil in bag rice. I sent it back for a burger which is disappointing because I had high hopes for the combo platter. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were tasty. Husband had the Buffalo chicken sandwich which he described as "ok". The banana cream pie was gross. Bananas we brown and nasty, the whipped topping made with crisco and had canned pudding. So nasty I dissected it looking signs of flavor and discovered nothing but disappointment. However, our server Destini was a total sweetheart and very accommodating. She was the best part of this experience. read more

Stopped by for a quick breakfast. Had the turkey burger and eggs. My meal was really fresh, healthy and most importantly, delicious. Staff and owners are very nice. Everyone that comes in seems to be a regular. On my way out I grabbed a few slices of cheesecake for my coworkers. Only did that because 5 different customers recommended it. I'm glad I listened. read more

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the staff. Our waitress Jennifer was all smiles and very polite. Our food came out promptly and it was very tasty. We ordered some grits and eggs, and the biscuits and gravy. It was all fresh and tasty. The yolks were almost orange, suggesting they were local/fresh eggs. They have a diner counter which resembled the 50s-60s. Overall it was great. A huge plus is they have a handicap ramp. read more

Good food at great prices with hard working and caring staff. I come her with my elderly parent all the time. So much so the attending staff already know our favorites. I particularly like the Greek salad, and baked half chicken. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. read more

Good food & fast service! I highly recommend eating at this location. Nice ambiance too.

Anytime i'm near the original lester's I hear it's call....come sit in one of my well worn vinyl booths and I'll feed you all the diner classics you love. I don't get here too often, but it's always solid fare.. I'll usually get breakfast if it's still daylight , can't miss with any omelette they serve. This visit we split a mushroom and pepper omelette w swiss, bacon, and their super light pancakes. Great hash browns too. Come for dinner sbd you'll see lamb shanks, great soups, greek staples. i've been to the sunrise location and it's good too but I'll always prefer the original. read more

Lester's is hands down the best diner experience in Western Broward County. After a disappointing experience at Weston Diner yesterday, I decided to make the extra drive to Lester's. Worth it! read more

Finally found a convenient time to come here as I was helping a friend move in the area. I came for breakfast as usual and ordered my usual ham and cheese omelet. The food tasted fresh and great as I expected. The difference I noticed with the omelet here is that it's flatter compared to the round, burrito like style the other location makes. Plus, this one wasn'tas cheesy as the other location which was kind of disappointing. The staff was very friendly and quick to serve you and the orders were correct. I noticed this location, or at least this waitress didn't ask if I wanted a lemon in my soda, which I don't. I just took it out but normally you're asked if you'd like one. Overall it was a good experience and if in the area, I'd come back for sure. read more

I won't be going back to this restaurant. They are under staffed and the staff that they do have is rude (esp. the manager). Because of the lack of servers, they can only seat a certain amount of customers without overwhelming the servers. Thus, they end up having customers waiting for tables. We just wanted dessert and the manager told us (in a very rude manner) that it will be awhile. We decided to sit down on the barstools for two reasons. First, our kids wanted to sit down and there wasn't any other place to sit. Secondly, we saw another couple sitting on barstools and since they were eating, we thought that maybe we could order as well. The manager comes over again and tells us, "No one will be waiting on you here. It will be awhile." We decided that this was it and we proceeded to leave. There was actually another family who was waiting outside and they decided to leave too. I draw the line at waiting to order dessert especially when there are empty tables and the staff is rude and unappreciative. We had dessert at another place and absolutely loved it. read more

Came down to this area for a business trip and this diner is down the road from my hotel. Establishment was clean and and friendly. We were immediately greeted by a hostess and seated promptly. The waiter was very nice and attentive. I ordered the Gyro plate. The dish came with a fench fries and a salad on the side. Basically you have build your own gyro. The gyro overall was good not a wow. I gave this restaurant a 4 out of 5 because of the food. I also ordered a country fired steak and it was like your ordinary country fried steak. The prices were a bit high for a normal diner everything was on am average $15.00 per meal. At the same time they gave a good amount of food. Ill recommend this diner for out of towners the restaurant was busy so the locals here like this place. read more

Had the gyro platter, my parents had the egg salad sandwich and greek quesadilla yesterday afternoon for a late lunch. Portions were bigger than what we'd expected and definitely getting what you're paying for. My meal was delicious and took a bite of my dad's quesadilla and it was very good. If I'm ever back in the area again for vacation, definitely would go back there again. read more

From time to time I get a mean craving for meatloaf. I know, that's random. I heard at least 290 people say " YOU MUST TRY LESTER'S" When I told them I had moved to Plantation. Cool...I put it on the back burner. Then one day I went to another restaurant near by and waited 15 minutes without being acknowledged by a server. I headed to Lester's and I am glad I did. I walked in and was welcomed by a big smile. They walked me over to a booth and immediately got me water. They came back a little while later and told me the meatloaf was great. That is all I had to hear. It comes with Mash potatoes and another side. I got fries...yea mash and fries..that's how I roll. The meatloaf was great. It's a massive serving. I ate as much as I could and still had half left. I boxed it up and had it the next day - even better the next day! For the price I was surprised at how massive the portions were. I left happy and will return again soon to cure my meatloaf craving. read more

So I just spoke with the manager of the diner because my Uber driver was messaging me telling me that someone had already picked my order up. Absolutely nasty attitude towards me and claimed zero accountability for the mistake. All she kept saying was "I wrapped up the order myself and someone picked it up. That's on your delivery service. Check with your Uber app or whatever". You would think MAYBE they would have a method in place in case two orders with the same name came at the same time? No? read more

I met some coworkers here for an early am breakfast meeting. Arrived around 8am, private parking lot w plenty of spaces and a lot of Harleys parked out front, my kind of place. Went inside and greeted by the lovely host, picked table over booth and were seated. Our waitress took our drink order and dropped off menus. We all chatted but also figured out what we were ordering. One ordered steak n eggs, another a cheese omelette and i ordered grits and side of bacon. Coffees and drinks came out while we chatted amongst ourselves. Lesters always on top of their game. Before we knew it our food was coming out. Everything cooked and appeared to perfection. The omelette light n fluffy; the steak n eggs looked amazing, my grits w side of bacon, off the charts amazing. Lester's is a household name in Ft Laud and never disappoints. They train their people very well. Food and service always consistent. Staff always polite and helpful, Lester's knows how to take care of their customers and it shows by all the smiling faces. read more

I have passed by this popular diner umpteen times over the years and it wasn't till yesterday that I stopped in. Honestly, I was not impressed by the service, the food, the cleanliness, nor anything about this diner. We were skipped after waiting 20 mins. to be seated, the food was cold, the server was brash and the only thing I liked was the brown sugar for my coffee and the coin juke box at our booth! I won't be returning. read more

Food, service and ambiance always great. Air conditioner a bit too cold. Love this place.

Cool place. Large dining room along with counter service surrounded by beautiful glass pastry cases brimming with monster desserts. Super quick service. Friendly, smiling waitperson. Great breakfast food. We wanted a big old-fashioned country-boy breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, grits, pancakes, gravy, and hot fresh-brewed coffee. If you want the same, this is the place. Everything we ordered was prepared exactly as requested: over-easy eggs, crisp bacon & hash browns, creamy, buttery grits, a fluffy biscuit with deliciously-thick sausage gravy. We attacked our meals with relish, quickly dispatching everything on our plate. Boy, that was good. Breakfast is a treat anytime, and this place did not fail to deliver just what we were craving. This place has really figured out how to feed their customers well. We're gonna make a point of eating here again. Hopefully soon. And next time we wanna hit the pastry case and enjoy some of those beautiful sweets. Good job, Lester. read more

The food is not bad, your very basic and ordinary dinner food. Today we had the Lester ranch, a Broward county special, chicken soup and pancakes. The place was busy and our waitress seemed overwhelmed, this particular waitress is always overwhelmed. Our food was cold, the butter didn't even melt on my biscuit, pancakes where cold and hard, potatoes where cold as well. Have had a lot better experiences at the location on state road 84. read more

This is a fabulous and very delicious classic representation of a Greek/American Diner, so it should be on DDD if it already has IDK know every ep but it's very tasty, the burger was so juicy I had to knife and fork it, don't come here on a diet but if you like fattening deliciousness this is one of a diner experience, the wait staff are a delight and quiet a sight as well , the fries are unique and you might get full off half of your order but you will want to eat it all. The desserts are unique and delicious too! read more

Lester's has been a staple in our dining out choices for years! This place is our first go to for our favorite comfort food and pig out breakfasts. The manager and wait staff are always extremely friendly and efficient. Thursdays are one of our favorites because they have corned beef and cabbage. Yum-O! There is nothing that I have had that I didn't like. The food is always fast, hot and portions are large. Definitely will stay on my staple list! read more
