The pho was exceptionally good - my boyfriend had my leftovers and said it was the best Pho he has ever had. He loved it so much we went there again even though it's 35 mins away. I ordered the bone marrow pho - the portions were huge - there was actually enough meat for a family of four. The broth tastes so good and the green sauce (I imagine a homemade churri churri sauce) is bomb. We also ordered this dish our server recommended and added duck and crushed it while we waited for our pho to cool down - it was insanely good. The service was very pleasant. I got the chicken one and had pieces of tofu, carrots, and bean sprouts. Cute little spot. There is sitting inside. Lots of things on the menu. I had a hard trouble picking exactly what I wanted. Actually connected to a little supermarket next door. They share a door that I thought led to the bathroom. The pad Thai wasn't that usually like red color but man was the flavor there. I've gotten the roast duck over rice as well as the crispy pork belly in red sauce. Can't go wrong with duck and rice (because yum!) but the crispy pork belly in red curry paste was absolutely amazing! The pork was perfectly crispy and the red curry paste was soooo flavorful. This was my first time here, as I don't live in Sherman Oaks. This was near to where I was and the Yelp reviews looked promising. I should have walked out when I saw the place: the interior of the restaurant was run down and the dining room was full of cardboard boxes - treated more like a messy storage room. As for the restroom, you have to go through the adjacent liquor store if you wish to use the restroom. Not exactly pleasant for restaurant patrons. It's not a good feeling when you pick up food and wonder if you are going to get food poisoning. But I thought I would give them a chance - maybe the quality of the food would make up for the ramshackle look of the place. We ordered a variety of dishes, including a yellow chicken curry for pick up. When I brought it home and opened it noticed there was NO chicken at all in the curry - just large pieces of potatoes and carrots. I politely called the restaurant to inform them of the issue. They suggested I bring the order back (a 15 minute drive) or a credit for that dish. I gladly accepted the credit thinking they would put $15.50 back on my credit card. I offered them the ticket number and the credit card number but instead was told "No, next time you come in, just tell us there was no chicken in your curry, and we will credit it on your next purchase" ?!?! That is not the proper way to issue a credit, and certainly I don't think they would honor it. There definitely won't be a next time - the food was not that good, and the place could use a good clean. read more

Nothing was even, everything was cut terribly. Meat was all fat. and the bun wasn't even proper bread. It was a stale bollio roll from the $1 box at Ralph's. Ok now on to the pho, meat not tender. Noodles one huge clump, not one noodle was an individual piece of noddle and The bag of veggies was brown. It was so flavorful and they really put a lot of ingredients in there and weren't stingy about it. I hold Thai coconut soup to a high regard after tasting it for the first time from this perfect Thai joint. I have to say that this places coconut soup took second place to it. My family and I have been coming to the restaurant for five years now. We're loyal customers and this was our pho restaurant of choice in the valley. Until now unfortunately. We asked for extra Bean sprouts and basil, they charged us $5. (This has never happened before, Also, what a rip off you give me two pieces of sliced lime one stem of basil and a handful of bean sprouts in charge that much? Makes no sense) The waitress gave attitude from the second we sat down, and dropped the $5 basil on the floor... She picked it up and walked away and I went up to her and asked her to replace it since we paid for it. She came back and threw the plate on the table on top of another dirty plate. We ordered two cokes and she never brought them, but still charged us for them. When we asked her to take the charge off she rolled her eyes and went back to fix the mistake. I walked up to the front asked to speak to the manager and at first she said he wasn't in... And I asked for his card. She then said he's here but he doesn't speak English. (Not sure if this is true) She had to act this translator, I doubt she said anything that I was complaining about to him. I never got a sorry or felt any remorse from her. I asked for her name and she said "why so you write it on Yelp? Im not telling you" Im incredibly disappointed and sad I'll never be going back there. I got the beef short rib pho here a week ago and can't stop thinking about it. The short rib is good but it comes with a green dipping sauce which, when paired with the short rib, is an otherworldly flavor. They both would have benefited from more "condiments." The bun was meh. The meat inside was tasty. But the bun itself was dry and chewy. The next day I went back for a banh mi. As I waited for my order, I noticed the case for the bread. It was all Ralph's bakery stuff. I would expect at least a slightly higher caliber then that. That bread was also dry and chewy. Their vegetarian broth is delicious, and they give you tons of veggies like carrots, broccoli, green beans, peas and cabbage (unlike other places where you basically just get tofu). The first time, we stood in line waiting to order for 8 minutes. We were the only ones in line. I can understand being busy, but the guy at the counter kept avoiding eye contact, disappearing, saying "just a minute," and waiting on tables. Why can't he just take a minute to get our to-go order, and then get back to the tables? I found it unnecessarily irritating. Once the order was placed, we got the food within a reasonable amount of time (about 12 minutes) and went home. I found the pho somewhat average. I went back last night and had the chicken bun (vermicelli noodles). The noodles were soggy and the meat was just drizzled with what I assume was hoisin sauce. Let's Pho is a great hidden gem in the Sherman Oaks area. The soups are a must, and almost any dish is great. I personally don't like duck after trying it, but some people love it. The prices are reasonable and affordable for the average Joe. My sister and I absolutely love this place, the waitresses are always nice and receive you with greetings. Their pho is rich in taste; their yellow curry is savory and comforting (and comes with great roti); and the appetizers are phenomenal (especially the wings). I normally order beef pho or the yellow curry w/ pork, but my go to as of late has been their Pad Kee Mao. It's the best in town. Also, while I normally don't do salads or light fare, their banh xeo is incredible as well. So light and satisfying. After writing this, I think I'm going to head down there for lunch!
