Was very interested in a used car that was listed for sale. Took 3 days for someone to reach out. When they did a man named skye proceeded to question why I wanted a better price on the vehicle. He took 2 days to send me pictures and an offer which was the exact same price as listed He said it was priced as it should be. There was no sense of urgency or signs that he wanted to make a sale even though I stated multiple times that I have the funds available for immediate purchase. You can keep your truck. I've gone through the car buying process quite a few times in my life and I have to say that the experience I had at this dealership was hands down the easiest and most pleasurable. I inquired about a particular car on the dealership's website and I received an email within a few hours from a gentleman in the sales team named Skye Keller. I communicated with Skye through text messages and he was extremely responsive. He was very honest and straightforward when answering all my questions, which I highly appreciate. I arrived at the dealership the following day at 2:00 pm and I left by 3:45 pm with a new car. The whole process took less than 2 hours and that includes the test drive! The entire transaction was smooth and stress-free. I was a little nervous on the way there because I didn't what to expect, but Skye was really down to Earth and treated me more like a friend and not just a customer. In fact, the entire staff was welcoming and friendly. Markeith from the Finance team breezed through the paperwork in no time. He was another person I enjoyed chatting with. It is unfortunate that I have to come here to leave this review, however I am extremely unsatisfied with the wait time and lack of communication I had to experience while my car was getting a simple oil change. This is the 2nd time getting the car serviced after being purchased and both times it has take well over 3 hours to have my car ready. This is extremely upsetting especially being that we have made appointments with the hopes of receiving a timely service. When asked for a loaner car so that my husband could run errands while waiting we were told they don't do this anymore, which was odd to me being they had a 3-4 sitting in the lot not being used. On top of all this, when my car was returned we didn't get back washed. Super disappointed with our service today, hopeful for better experiences in the future! read more

I've been going to lexus since ive bought my used gs300. They have always been amazing. Austin, Victor, and Tommy in the service department have been amazing. Always keeping me.up to date when I take my car in for any service or issues. When a local Audio stereo place down the street broke my rear view mirror, Victor was able to fit me in when there was not availability for service in 2 weeks. The parts department is phenomenal. Diego, Pat, and Lila have been my researchers and finders of parts. When they have been unable to locate parts, they have been able to contact their vendors and locate parts for my car. Since I don't like buying parts from autozon, oriellys, or napa I prefer quality parts if oem lexus is not available. My car was taken there to get a leaky fuel injector replaced and fixed for a couple days that turned into weeks mind you this a recently purchased car I got it September 2nd and I've been using a loaner for as long as I had the Lexus each time I call they say it will be ready within 2 days those 2 days becomes another week and i still have yet to get my car idk what they doing in there but it seem like they js letting it sit, than they even ignore my calls cause I always check in to see when it will be ready read more

On Sunday 6/26 9:15am I had my scheduled service. Dropped off vehicle at 9am. Serviced let me know it would be 2 hours. I showed up at 11:15am service manager let me know they are behind because they only have one service tech on sunday's. Service manager said it would be another 45 minutes. I went back 1 hour later vehicle was still not ready. I went back 30 minutes later. Service manager said it was ready and gave me paperwork. I went outside to get vehicle I still had to wait another 15 minutes for them to bring vehicle out. Very unhappy with service department and service manager. If they know they only have one technician on Sunday's they should not schedule more vehicles than they can handle. Over 3-1/2 hours for a scheduled oil charge is ridiculous! read more

Very bad customer service. I went in to ask the service advisor to check the fuse box on my 2013 RX. He said I had to pay about $185 for him to get off his seat and come outside to take a look. Needless to say I left and went across the street to another dealership where not only they helped me out but refused to charge me. Unfortunately had a very Passive aggressive, 'know it all' gentleman telling me how there's a lot of things wrong with my car and how he wouldn't help me diagnose a code. trying to charge me for what i don't need. Lexus is great for people that don't know about cars. But, if you do know about cars they will be-little you and act as if they will know more since they are the dealership. (maybe not everyone!) like seriously the complete opposite vibe of how great Toyota people are across the street. After making me wait over a day, they had the audacity to send an outrageously inflated quote for an RZ. Guess what? I ignored them and blocked Skyler or whatever alias he goes by. No one in their right mind is going to lease a 2023 RZ for $800 per month with a $3000 down payment when the lease promotion is $399 with no down. And don't even try to use my credit score, which is over 800, as an excuse. I won't entertain such nonsense with a response. The only reason I even considered a Lexus EV was for the promotion; otherwise, there are plenty of superior EV options out there. This was a FANTASTIC car buying experience. I spotted a used vehicle on their lot online and called on Sunday morning to see if it was still available. I was transferred to Skye and we agreed upon a time to come check it out that day. Drive down to Monterey from Santa Cruz is always pretty peaceful and we found the dealership to be small, but cozy and clean. Skye was welcoming and asked probing questions about what I was looking for. Given it was a slower, almost rainy Sunday, they let us take the car for an extended test drive. When it came down to talking pricing and financing, it was really up front and no BS. There was no stress or pressure to purchase maintenance plans or extended warranties. I knew what I wanted and they worked to get the right financing in place. Skye was really calm through the process and answered all my questions while not treating me like a child ( thank you!). Getting into the finance office with Shawn (Sean) was also great. He was funny, personable and no pressure as well. We locked in exactly what Skye had shown me previously and we were out of there pretty quickly. Car was washed and ready to go when we were done. 5-star experience and I happily recommend anyone at Lexus Monterey Peninsula, everyone was really friendly and helpful. read more

Have you ever heard of Lexus customer service? I hadn't until I owned a lexus. Here's just one example of what you can expect.... Recently, somehow, I caught my long purse strap in the front door. Now it was stuck..stuck in the door that now won't open. I tried the window..that would open, but now it won't close either. It was Saturday afternoon and I called the service department. I pleaded my case and even though they had no openings until Monday...the woman told me to come on in..they were happy to help me. (I've included some photos so you can see how I had to drive the car in.) Once I was there a genius of a man walked out from the service department. He just smiled at me and went to work jiggling this and that and within a minute had my door open and my purse free!!! I felt sort of stupid, but honestly, I had tried everything I could to get that purse free. I just want to say how thankful I am and how experiences like this remind me what true customer service is all about. read more

It was my first time buying a car new and I did a lot of research beforehand to decide on what make and model I wanted. My family has always had Lexus and Toyota and I decided on finally getting a Lexus of my own. This is a smaller dealership than some, but the atmosphere is very relaxing and I did not feel pressure that I've gotten from other dealerships. I had the opportunity to work with Chris on the UXH I wanted, and he was patient with me on getting me what I needed. Markeith in financing was also great to work with. It was my birthday and he ended up taking me to lunch afterwards to celebrate. I live in the bay area but I'd be willing to go back down to this location for any future purchases, though considering a Lexus will go a long way, it'll be a while until I'm back for that. I brought in my car with a tire leak. I sat there for 30 minutes. A guy came out and told me they couldn't find a leak. I insisted there was a leak because I had had to keep putting air in my tire. He said they could take the time take the tire off and look and see if there was any nails poking in the inside of the tire. I said that would be great waited another 45 minutes. They came out said there was no leak. I might want to buy two tires I asked how much they would be . He said don't carry those tires anymore. So basically he wanted me to buy four new tires then he said that the sensors were bad. I asked how much was a sensor he said $300 and there were five of them so after, almost 2 hours. They said nothing was wrong with my tire . I went to Rossi Bros tire and Auto They found the leak they're fixing it for me. I went to the desk to pay them for the repair there was no charge. Lexus was going to charge 80$ to fix it. I will not be going back to Lexus of Monterey!!! read more

I reached out and spoke to the internet specialist, Jocelyn, who scheduled our appointment for the very next day. Set out for a long drive, I called to make sure the car was still there. We met with the manager, Brian, who was friendly and welcoming. John O'Neil was our salesperson, who showed us the car and let us test drive for about half hour. He has worked for Lexus about 20 years and he knows his stuff. John is laid-back, not pushy, honest, and overall a nice guy. We went back to office and went over the numbers. They gave us a good price with a discount and we bought the car the same day. We also met with Julia to finalize the paperwork. She is a sweetheart and honest. The whole process with Jocelyn, Brian, John, and Julia was seamless. We were very impressed and plan to buy our next car there again for our daughter, when she graduates from college. I drove 3 hours 1 way to view a car that was a CPO (Certified Pre Owned) OR maybe they said POS? with a 186 point professional inspection and supposedly clean (nope) only to find out it had a driving issue, then I was told the issue was due to the low profile tires... Really? I directed the service people to the cause which I properly diagnosed and the car was eventually repaired a few days later. Their young salesman was more interested in his phone then assisting my wife and I... I've purchased 7 Lexus' in the past because I like the service you receive from the dealerships and the quality of the cars. This time it was way different, there is literally no where to park at this dealership their main service is at another location too. It is what it is, certainly can't recommend this dealership for service or a new or used car purchase. Seems their only worried about what Corporat thinks and #'s I've had great luck @ the Lexus of Roseville, larger selection, clean store and very attentive people. If you do shop there, ask for Chris, he's an honest guy and will look out for your best interest. So, my parents needed to replace their aging 2004 Lexus rx SUV with a new one, so they dragged me down here expecting me to get them a deal. I went with them and met up with Max, a loquacious Brazilian man who loves to give compliments and talk about his family. We were looking at a barely used 2016 Lexus RX F-sport. I originally had my dad pegged to buy a 25K Rx350 that had been through the ringer. Little did I know pops was looking at a 54K car. We had bought a car there about 20 years ago and my dad really liked the place and the car we got from them previously. In fact we still had that old 1995 Gs300 up until 2013. A Fantastic car. So anyways, my parents started looking at the older RX models while Max was off getting my parents coffee and pastries. The older Rx models were not the same caliber as the redesign, which seemed like it was just driven off the moon. (An insane vehicle with awesome technology.) I had to make sure we got something a bit more future proof in the newer "F sport" model, so i made sure they did not get too distracted by these older RX's. Max had an extensive knowledge of the vehicle which was very impressive. He was even brave enough to let my Mother test drive the vehicle. This made me very nervous, I tried not to go. But again I was dragged along.. Everything worked out without any accidents, and we sat down with Max and bought the car. I had a feeble attempt at negotiating. But we all knew my parents were older and sold on the car and we were not going anywhere without the F sport. After some internet research the next day the deal actually looks excellent in comparison to very similar vehicles. On to the finance guy, his name is Leon and he was a complete ACE. Or as he would say "PHENOMENAL" He spoke to us clearly and very professionally. I have bought a lot of cars in my life and he was the most impressive Finance guy I have ever met. Very patient and well spoken. It almost seemed like he was a Robot designed at Lexus in Japan from some training manual. Perfect speech, explanations, personable. A real pro's pro if I had ever seen one. (most of these guys I have met are jerks/on drugs/worthless/impatient ) but he was super impressive possibly not human.....He even got my Dad a better rate from his own bank than they were offering him straight up on his own. My dad has had the same bank since 1963 so I have no clue how that was possible. Simply outstanding service. perfect. Anyways, thanks for the great service.My parents love the new RX and I am sure you will see us again at some point, it might be 20 more years because these cars run forever but it will happen. I met the grumpy old man and was given some initial numbers that were as high as his kite on a car that was a base model and not even a the F - after a few phone calls and texts he got upset and said go get your deal somewhere else, in his 20yrs of experience, no one would give me the deal I was looking for and that his dealership needed to make money and not a charity!!! Service was excellent, I'm not sure if it's standard but I was able to test drive my gx 460 for a couple of hours to get a very good feel of the vehicle. I enjoyed a lunch and went to the beach with my family. I did purchase my vehicle and the customer service was excellent. They give great deals! I drove an hour to get there and it was worth it.
