One of my friends took me to this spot a few weeks ago. If you're in the valley you know it's extremely hot it gets these drinks really hot the spot they where every refreshing. I haven't tried it myself but the friend that brought me there said that their fries were extremely thin and crispy so if you like garlic fries I recommend trying them. So disappointed in the food I received through my DoorDash order. I ordered their minced pork dish, a lychee boba and the popcorn chicken. The rice came with little to no meant compared to what was advertised online. It was like they gave me the last bit of minced meat left at the end of the day. There was barely any in my dish. For the money I paid, all I got was rice. My popcorn chicken was super salty and looked so burnt and blackened. I ended up not even being able to eat the chicken. And my tea had so much jelly in it. The last few times I've been to T4 were disappointing. I don't know if they are under new owners or management, but the overall attention to food quality and customer service have gone downhill. The combo meals with rice are generous, but there's absolutely no flavor. The meat is dry, highly lacking in seasoning and seemed prepared for someone on a low-sodium diet; not for the general consumer. The good news is their French fries are consistently good. The difference from a year ago is definitely the lack of attention and care from the cooks and experienced food servers. This is what I find most disappointing. This MAY not apply to those who order teas, but their Boba drinks are terrible and seem to get worse and worse (as other Yelpers have stated - it's true!). They do not invest time in training new people on how to make a proper Boba drink. These poor newbies look terrified trying to figure out what goes into a Boba drink, how much to add of this and that, all with no help or guidance from those who just stand around watching them fail, knowing customers are waiting longer than usual for their drinks and orders. My friendly advice to the owners - pay closer attention to your food quality and teach your employees how to master making those drinks. This place has the potential to improve but lacks the care and attention that's worthy of a 5-star review. read more

My favorite boba spot in the valley. I go here often with my girlfriend whenever we crave boba. They are known for their winter melon milk tea w/ boba, which is what we always get. I've tried a few other drinks, but I find myself always going back for the winter melon milk tea. The drink itself is not too sweet. I find other boba places put an unhealthy amount of sugar in their boba, which makes you ask for a less sweet percentage. Though, in my opinion you do not need to adjust the sweetness level for T4's winter melon milk tea. The boba itself always taste fresh and chewy. My girlfriend and I almost always order curly fries as well. I don't care if they are frozen, their curly fries really hit the spot. Extremely crispy, very well seasoned, and an incredibly large portion. You gotta get the curly fries. Parking is nice and easy, because of their big lot. Their is also a nice outdoor area if you want to sit and hang with friends. Customer service is always well. The employees are always friendly and welcoming. They make the drinks fast, which is another plus side. Overall, amazing boba, delicious curly fries, and great customer service. Will be back frequently. read more

COVID-19 era: They are doing take-out orders. I had placed my order through yelp after work, thinking I could swing by on my way back. I had already seen some reviews mentioning that there would be a long wait time given the current situation. I wasn't too surprised when it said it would be ready 40-60 min after I had placed the order. There seemed to be plenty of parking around the shopping center, and I slowly roasted in my car while waiting for the order to be completed. To my surprise, when I next checked, it said my order was ready for pick-up (this was about 40 min in). I was quite excited and skipped my way inside. I was met with about 4 or 5 customers waiting around and what seemed like a few employees frantically making orders. I waited a for a few minutes and then decided to flag one of them down. To my surprise, he said my order was still being made. That's cool, I decided to sit down and wait, but it then took another 20 minutes before they could finally get to my order. I'm not sure whose fault it is, but it would be nice to be notified correctly on yelp when my order is actually ready. Another thing that really got me was their taro drink. On grubhub it was listed as a taro milkshake. I think we all know what a milkshake feels and tastes like. What I had received was what seemed like some taro and milk half blended with some ice, which resulted in me just drinking small ice chunks with milk the entire time. By the time I had gotten home, I just had a giant chunk of ice in the middle. I'm not sure that's what even a smoothie should be. And I paid $7 for that too. I understand that business is tough during this time, but I felt that my time and money weren't really being respected. read more

They are super consistant here and are very courteous. We've been ordering delivery during the pandemic and enjoying our milk teas/smoothies at home with their delicious fried chicken :D We've done delivery of most of their hot menu and they're smart to prep the boxes of fried goods with a hole in it to keep things krispy and not soggy when you get it and their teas are packed well that they won't tip over. Today my stamp card had the free boba and the girl working at the cashier entered the discount that said 50 cents off the drink. We asked if this was correct since we have been granted the free boba drink in the past but she was adamant that their policy was only 50 cents off the drink when your stamp card is completed. It was extremely busy and we didn't want to make a fuss over this confusion, but we know that we were not given the proper free boba drink. We could care less about receiving the free drink, but it's the principle of honoring what the card states. Hopefully I can update the review the next time we visit. read more

The minced pork belly with rice came in a bowl, I wish they put more minced pork belly and vegetables and decrease the amount of rice. The whole look of the store was pleasing to the eyes. The lady that helped me was able to give me her recommendations which I was glad about. What I did not like is that most of the tables inside were dirty when I got there. New spot that opened up next to my gym, course I was curious. I was mostly interested in the foods, so I was excited to finally try them the other day. Came in on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy, the staff greeted me and were very friendly. I ordered the popcorn chicken, takoyaki, and minced pork belly bowl. The pork belly bowl was my least favorite item, it was decent but the meat was just lacking compared to the amount of rice. I was delighted by how good the takoyaki was, definitely going to order again. And the highlight of my experience, the popcorn chicken - wow. 4.50 for a big portion of good quality, lightly fried chicken? I was actually amazed, I wouldn't be surprised if the price increased but I thoroughly enjoyed it, the prices for relatively all the items were cheap. Okay I came here the first week they were open, so that might be the reason for my lower rating. I've been to other T4 locations in the bay and was sooo excited that one has opened up in they valley, so obviously I had to go check it out. I came here with my mom and it was in a plaza I've never really been to. The parking lot was large and had plenty of parking. The cafe is sort of in the corner, so I probably wouldn't have been able to find it without a GPS. I got the sea salt jasmine tea and my mom got a taro milk tea. We were the only ones in the boba place and it took about 5 minutes to get our drinks (there was a sign saying the workers were training, so the wait was fine and expected). Ok so onto the drinks: my mom liked her taro milk tea. My sea salt drink was EXTREMELY salty (I get sea salt drinks ALL the time and have never felt like I was gonna go into shock from the sodium before). I don't like to complain but i really couldnt finish my drink so I asked the girl working and who made my drink if I could have some extra tea to add to my sodium filled drink. She then proceeded to say she couldn't do that and there was nothing she can do. And okay, I understand that it's a new place but customer service should really not be that hard... just give me some more tea!! I wasn't asking for a new drink, just some jasmine tea because the sea salt cream practically was half the cup and made the drink undrinkable! At that point I was like ??? because I paid good money for a drink that I couldn't even take a second sip of. I asked for the manager and she wouldn't go get them. So I was like okay... I wanna get the heck outta here, can I JUST GET A CUP OF TEA SO I CAN POUR INTO MY DRINK. She then said ok and gave me a cup of super bitter black tea, not even the jasmine tea... I really wanted to support T4 because I've had great experiences before but wow, I honestly had such a hard time here and left SOOO unsatisfied. I didn't even end up finishing my drink bc 1. It was still salty and 2. The tea that was given to me wasn't even the correct tea. Because I do like T4, I might come back if I'm ever in the area. Def my new spot. I've worked at a boba spot nearby before with just the basic popcorn chicken and fries, but this place takes flavor on a whole other level. I looooove garlic, so I had to order the garlic fries. I also ordered popcorn chicken and the girl at the register asked if I wanted some type of honey glaze (I think?) or garlic. I initially thought it was just regular Taiwanese popcorn chicken, but I was impressed with the new variety. I had to go for the garlic and I loved it! There are chunks of garlic which I personally don't mind because it was just packed with so much flavor. I've read a comment from the owner stating that they hand cut the popcorn chicken, which I can definitely appreciate. It can be super tedious (I've been there, done that haha!), and they've really nailed the spices and flavor. Only one thing I can say for both is that they were a little too salty, but I'll just make sure I make note of that my next visits. Not many spots offer wintermelon, and I'm so glad that this place sells it. The boba itself is so well balanced with its softness, yet firmness. It's nice and chewy and definitely cooked well. Tea is not bitter, and a lot of other spots in the valley (even the most popular ones) definitely have a problem with that. The brewing process is so important and it can really make or break the drink. I haven't had an issue with my drink for the numerous times I've already visited. The set up is lovely, especially because the windows bring in so much natural lighting. Woke up craving boba, so my husband placed an order for delivery. We usually opt to pick up our orders from local businesses in case something is missing, but we had gotten a slow start to our Saturday and figured two drinks wouldn't be too hard to mess up. Well, the drinks are good! My husband got his without boba, and I got mine with agar pearls, which is an extra charge. However, we were sent two skinny straws, instead of a larger boba straw, so there is no way to actually enjoy the boba I paid extra to add! Kind of defeats the purpose of ordering a boba drink...I could have easily made an iced tea at home for much less money. Since I ordered on grubhub, I contacted them, but all they said was that T4 had no response. I don't expect someone to drive a straw out to my house or anything, but a credit for the boba i can't enjoy would have been nice.
