Cute boba spot to hangout with friends! They have a great selection of drinks and even a section to grab a game to hangout. I ordered the brown sugar chai and it was good. A little too sweet for me even at the 10% sweetness. Good quick service.

Amazing all around! Great drink flavors and boba. Their boba is a perfect combination of taste and satisfying texture on its own. They offer a small but curated assortment of drinks. There is plenty of parking. This spot is great for studying or hanging out! There is decent indoor seating and AC. The staff was patient and helpful in answering any questions I had about the menu.

1/2/2026 - After visiting a newly opened Toastique six times, I decided to come to the Teaspoon to support our local business. Upon entering into the store, I saw the same owner again alone in the counter without any customer. I ordered my favorite drink TARO LOVER Tai Milk with Boba, which is indeed a 5-star drink - See the latest uploaded photo for reference! We chatted the wage increase beginning 1/1/2026, etc. While I was drinking, I told him that drink is so good. All of a sudden, more than dozens of patrons entering into the store to purchase the drinks. The owner must think I am the guy who can bring some lucks to the store in New Year! The overall rating is 4.5 stars

Not a bad boba spot. I ordered the jasmine milk tea and it was perfect. Not overly sweet. The girl at the counter was nice and the decor is cute. There is ample parking.

Was in the shopping center for a different reason, and the name caught my eye. Decided to give this spot a try, and happy I did. It was really delicious and they had many options and different ways to customize the drinks such as milk and fillings. It was really refreshing, and a good size too. The spot also had tables and chairs inside, and I noticed some games, so might be a nice little spot to hang with friends.

A good spot for fun drinks :) The staff is always very friendly and drinks come out quickly as well. We had the Banana Matcha Royale and the Strawberry Colada. The banana flavor is natural and subtle which I really enjoyed but I thought the matcha could be stronger. The strawberry colada is a great piña colada flavored drink. Averagely priced and good parking lot. Lobby area could use some attention as some of the tables were sticky and there was some trash on the floor, but overall a nice spot.

The drink is good, a little too much ice, service is fast since not many people here, and ambiance is like a teashop with some selection of board games, good place to chill!

This shop is super cute and the drinks look even cuter. I did ask for suggestions and I was told to add strawberry and boba to my matcha drink. The drink wasn't very good unfortunately :/ I also felt like I was just given a suggestion not in a genuine way but in a way where the cashier wanted to get me to just finish my order. My husband ordered a Thai tea and it was okay. To be honest, I don't think I'd come back but it was a good stop to have a sweet treat in the moment.

Really nice and cute Boba shop with lots of choices for drinks and some desserts. The staff was very friendly and my drink is delicious. I got the coconut coffee with Boba. There was seating inside and a little bit outside.

Teaspoon is a classic. I have been coming to teaspoon near the Sawtelle for nearly 5 years now! Which is why I was so excited and surprised Teaspoon opened so close to me! Teaspoon's Black Assam drink is one of my favorites and their taro is always higher quality. This particular location is a bit far from sawtelle but still carries its own charm and vibes to the North Valley area! I've been coming since it's opening and this spot never misses. I recommend anyone who wants a boba drink and tea drinks but don't want to drive to the Los Angeles basin! I am a regular and will def continue coming back here for boba drinks.

Been here several times and they never disappoint. Staff is always fairly friendly, service is quick, and the place is always clean. I love that everytime I've ordered something, there's no question what the flavor is. I don't want a "strawberry matcha" to have a whisper of strawberry. I want bold flavors. My favorites tend to be the seasonal drinks (the peach was so friggin tasty) and current favorite is the Starlight Sesame. It's nutty and sweet. I almost always order 75% sugar as all their items are way too sweet for me. Have run across a couple that needed 50%. I don't enjoy boba so I can't speak on if it's any good. Parking is a breeze as it's in a huge parking lot. You want a consistently really good milk tea, this is your place!

This is a franchise that I don't visit often as there aren't many in the 626 and the only time I've visited was my overly sweet (even with adjustments) visit to the location in NorCal. This was the closest boba place in Porter Ranch where I was visiting without going into a different city/area. There was a good number of customers there and all tables were taken. Make sense as it's one of the few boba places here. They have an app where you can order ahead of time and pick up but from ordering to pick up, it didn't take that long for my order. Unfortunately, the slush type drinks have no option for sweetness adjustment, understandable. I got the Lychee on Lychee which is a black tea topped with lychee jelly. I got this at half sweet. Generally what this does is reduce the sweetness of the drink and enhance the taste of the tea, but instead this just made the drink more watered down and bland. The only thing that gave flavor to it was the lychee jelly that was included. Just like my NorCal experience, this wasn't that great and this was my second time giving them a chance. At the very least the decor is cute.

I like that they have Organic milk and teas. We've tried most of their drinks and I've enjoyed most of them. My kids love coming here.

The cafe is 2 floors with lots of seating, both upstairs and downstairs. Definitely a great spot to study, get some work done, or catch up with friends. I ordered the Matcha Earl Grey Latte and the Popcorn Chicken. My drink came out pretty fast, while the popcorn chicken took around 10 minutes. I loved the latte! The earl grey flavor was strong, so it was definitely on the sweeter side. The chicken was definitely different from the Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken I was expecting. The texture was more like mini chicken tenders or nuggets than the usual crispy, popcorn chicken. The chicken itself was juicy and had less breading. Not bad at all, just different from what I expected. Pricing is also not bad, especially for the portions. I parked in the back lot, but there's also free street parking. Overall, I really liked the space and would definitely come back to try more of their drinks!

Do not order their seasonal drink item Passionfruit mint lemonade, no lemon juice, no mint Nothing citrusy, not even passion fruit purée, really disappointed. This review is long overdue…read more I've been a House Roots regular since they opened their SFV shop many years ago and frequent the bakery as well. This location is the newest (only about a year or so?) of the three. Each store has a similar and yet distinct style/focus. This shop is located on the ground level of an apartment/leasing space, so if you're not looking for it, it can be missed/mistaken. Parking at first glance also seems difficult but don't worry, there's plenty in the parking garage behind the shop/ below the apartment building. The shop itself is beautiful! Compared to the other two locations, this location is most spacious; There's outdoor seating as well and indoor seating. It's pretty family friendly and equally accommodating to students/working professionals who need a place to do some work. There's a grab and go section, for those who need a quick bite as well as some food items- pastries and burritos. Overall, the environment is pretty relaxed and chill. As far as drinks go, I've tried several- everything from the drip, pour overs, espresso shots, americanos, sweet lattes, and pictured, both matcha and einspanner dreams from the last time I came with my husband and parents. Pricing is fair but most importantly, all their drinks are good! The espresso is good consistently which in turn makes all their coffee drinks delicious. All the speciality drinks are not overly sweet and well balanced, unless requested. Specifically from the last visit, the vanilla cream on top of the einspanner/matcha dreams were to die for. My husband, who isn't a coffee drinker also mentioned how good the matcha was, even with almond milk (he's lactose). If you want to venture out/explore something out of the usual drip or americano, I recommend the einspanner or matcha dream drinks! Besides the good coffee, all the Houseroots locations are set apart by their hospitality, and this shop is unparalleled. Every time I've come to grab a cup on my way to visit my parents or for an afternoon pick me up, all the baristas have been welcoming and warm. Northridge is always a treat, can't wait to come back when in the area!

Don't expect the warm, smiley Filipino hospitality right away--just head straight to the counter and place your order on the iPad. As for the halo-halo, it's definitely not your traditional version. It wasn't bad by any means, but it's quite different from the halo-halo I grew up with and the ones I enjoy whenever I visit Manila.
