Liberty Bagels is famous for their two colorful bagels, the Liberty bagel (red, white and blue) and the Rainbow bagel. Between the two, I preferred the Rainbow one more, as it had a sweet fruity flavor to it. While their color is made them go viral, this place actually has very high quality bagels in general. The bagels are old fashioned hand rolled kettle boiled bagels. They are huge and very fluffy and definitely one of the best bagels I've had in New York City. They also offer a unique selection of cream cheeses as well. Some of the flavors of cheese cheese flavors sold here are Oreo, birthday cake and maple bacon.

Everything with dill cream cheese and then lox bagel.

The location around the corner had a huge line, so this location is super convenient. There was no line to order and very short wait to get our bagels. We got a lox bagel and an everything bagel with dill cream cheese. The bagel and cream selection was amazing. They had all sorts of sandwiches as well plus drinks to grab too. Bagel was perfect and delicious. I'd definitely go back!

Went to Liberty Bagels for lunch on a Friday. There is limited seating but we were able to snag some seats. You order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready. I ordered the Wild Thing on a Rainbow Bagel. It was delicious. The bagel itself was so different and sweet. I want to eat there everyday! Note- if you pay with cash, your order is cheaper.

Amazing find! Soft perfection bagels made with some of the best flavors for cream cheese. There were so many options! The Birthday Cake flavor was so unique not too sweet and delicious!

I got the Liberty bagel; red, white and blue. I think because there was so much dye in the bagel, the bagels texture was off. The chipotle cream cheese had a good kick to it. I am not sure why the cream cheese alone is the same price as the bagel. I also was not a fan of the amount of cream cheese given, it was too much. It was also confusing where you pick up and put your bagel order in. There is a sign but the menu with prices are posted everywhere repeatedly which makes it confusing.

Appreciated the quick and efficient service on top of the deliciously toasted bagel from here. I just wanted to grab a quick bagel on my way back to the Amtrak station to go home and I chose to come to Liberty because Best Bagels across the street was wayyyy too packed, but I'm glad I came here anyway and probably will continue to go here. The bagels are on the right side as soon as you enter and after you place your order, you take the receipt over to the register on the left side to pay. The wait wasn't long at all despite how many were standing around and waiting, nice pacing. This was Sunday morning around 10am.

My first NYC bagels had to be at Liberty! The hype is real! Make sure to get there early because by 9am, there is a line out the door. The employees were extremely nice and helpful when deciding what to order. I got the rainbow bagel with oreo cream cheese - DELICIOUS. The bagel had a nice texture and the cream cheese wasn't overpowering. I can't wait to go back!

My daughter talked me into coming here for the viral rainbow bagel. We got there around 11 and I was looking at past reviews and wondering if they were going to sell out like others said. It was a weds morning and they were fully stocked on their bagels. My daughter for one with the birthday cake cream cheese and she of course loved it. I got the lox cream cheese and It was delicious. There was a long line but this place knows what they're doing because it really was not a long wait at all, considering the amount of people in line. Lots of employees so they're pretty efficient. 10/10 would recommend. Plus they're pretty!

I stopped by Liberty Bagels after a laser appointment and grabbed a sesame bagel, lightly toasted, with butter, black pepper, and an egg. Honestly, nothing about it stood out. The bagel was fine, but not memorable, and definitely didn't live up to all the hype. For the price, I expected something a lot better. Overall, it felt overrated and not worth going out of the way for. If you're nearby and need something quick, maybe it works but I wouldn't choose it again. It's a small busy spot very busy and the girl at the register I think her name was Ana wasn't welcoming at all. Given its morning would appreciate a smile and hello. Anyways not the spot for me that's for sure.

Got the NOVA bagel on a jalapeño bagel. 10/10 would recommend. Best lox bagel I've ever had! It had the perfect ratio of ingredients. The line was long but well deserved and they got our order out very quickly. They had a huge variety of bagel options and they even had vegan cream cheese. There's something for everyone at this place.

Bagels were great and definitely others agree as everyone waited in line for it. They do have online ordering and you wait way less just let them know you have ordered online and they will watch for it. So many bagel and cream Cheese options and we're very efficient. Clean atmosphere

It's hard to describe how amazing liberty bagels is. The cream cheese and bagels are exceptional. There are many choices and options to choose from including all kinds of sandwiches. They are very generous with the quantity of the cream cheese and the quality of the bagels. The employees just topped off they are always so friendly and nice, which I feel is amazing considering how busy they always are. There is a line out the door all day long every day. In addition to bagels, we find that the coffee is superb. Whenever we visit New York City, we stop at liberty bagels every single day that we are there without. Thank you for always being consistent and good with your products, your service, and your smiles.

People love to say it's touristy, but I don't care. Liberty Bagels are my absolute favorite bagels in the city. They have never done me wrong, and everyone I've introduced to them has loved them as well! They have sooo many different options, a little bit of something for everyone (including vegan options). Though I'd have to say my personal favorite is an everything bagel, toasted with vegetable cream cheese (pictured)

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container. Apparently the bagels are not made in the traditional manner, but they were still delicious with great texture and taste. We also ordered the tea (ok) and strawberry lemonade (yum). We enjoyed our bagels on the little countertop area outside. OVERALL: Definitely recommend! A different bagel experience than some other places (as in, those places where you are served bagels topped with cream cheese and other things) but we enjoyed the simplicity of the bagels and controlling the amount of cream cheese.

Anyways, the girls had bookmarked another bagel establishment but the line was hella long like they were giving away Knicks gear for free. Ironically another "bagel shop" search on Yelp showed PopUp Bagels was like three doors down lol. No line! That in itself was making me question but there is a PopUp in San Diego that my daughter swears by. PopUp advertised itself as "Not Famous, but known." Whether or not this bagel is better than the one store three doors up is something I cannot attest to. However I can say THIS WAS A DANG GOOD BAGEL! And it was freshly made! How do I know? It literally burned my fingers when I ripped it open! The pain was worth it. Outside, a slightly crisp texture generously coated with "Everything". Inside was a dense and chewy dough that was pliable but able to withstand the dipping and shmearing of cream cheese (which was smooth). Best I have ever had for sure but then again my most common bagel experience is the place named after a scientist where tons of bagels are sitting in bins for who knows how long. So why wasn't this a 5-star experience? One, I only ate one thing. Two, sevice and setting are "just there". Considering it wasn't busy I would expect a bit more of a welcome. To eat you're bagel you can full on just leave, sit at the three stools inside where it is super hot (bc hey they actually cook), or three stand outside. There is a little, I'll say "patio", where you can stand, eat, and true story, watch two people argue about who gets to sort through the recyclables from the neighborhood eateries. Snack and a show???? I just stood near the door and enjoyed my bagel.
