Roasted pork belly served with rice & pickled vegetables
    Lisa L.

We always get the roasted pork by the lb here and recently I just found out from a foodie on IG that they have lunch combos. I stopped by and got the pork belly (which is served with rice & picked vegetables) I loved it and it definitely hit the spot! I would definitely come back again. Honorable Mentions: -Plenty of parking -Cash only

    Roasted duck
    Arman T.

Roasted duck was amazing! So thick and flavorful. Great price too! Minus one star because it's cash only. Minus 2 stars because they were so rude and very impatient. They were nice if you already knew what to get without asking questions and especially if you could speak their language. But it was our first time, we asked questions and they just didn't like that at all. They answered very rude and even tried to ignore us and was about to skip us to take order the next customer! Unbelievable! I was about to just give 1 or 0 star because of this but my wife said that the roasted duck was so good that it was worth it. Lol.

    BBQ time!

Went here for the first time today. Lien Hoa BBQ Deli is your typical Asian hole in the wall to-go spots for bbq pork (char siu), bbq duck and steamed chicken, etc. You'll see ducks hanging down from the heated lamps and roasted crispy pork too. It's located in a relatively large strip mall so it's hard to miss - plenty of parking. We ordered the bbq pork to go - $4.49 per pound which is relatively cheap considering you're getting a pound of meat. They'll ask if you want it chopped or leave it whole. We got it whole and tried it at home and was very disappointed. The meat was tough and dry (char siu should always have some level of fattiness to it) and the sweet flavor wasn't all there. I tasted the five spice and that was it. Really disappointed at this place but I should have known better considering all the other negative reviews. We'll stop by one more time here to try the duck and steamed chicken - maybe they'll taste better than the bbq pork.

Came here this morning to pick up a whole roast duck, got me 5 dipping sauces too. Efficient since I was the only customer at 9am. $21

Does this look like ba roi to you?
    Ann Q.

Sent my daughter to get ba roi today as we were craving it for lunch. As soon as I opened the box, I knew they jacked her. (See photos uploaded) The meat were hard and stupid fatty! It's pretty sad to take advantage of kids when they don't know any better. I've been going to this place for years and I can truthfully say I will never go back.

The duck comes with a fantastic sauce, so even though the duck is perfectly cooked you have even more flavor to dip in to! Excellent job!

The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the black bean sauce was rich, savory, and packed with flavor. I loved how the sauce coated every strand of noodle, creating a comforting and satisfying dish without feeling too heavy. It's the kind of meal that keeps you coming back whenever you're craving something hearty and delicious. The restaurant has a casual, old-school atmosphere that feels authentic and welcoming. It reminds me of the kind of neighborhood spot that's been serving loyal customers for years. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food arrived quickly even during a busy lunch rush. If you're looking for authentic Korean-Chinese cuisine in Orange County, Peking Gourmet is definitely worth a visit. Their Jjajangmyeon is a must-order, and I can see why it has remained a local favorite for so many years.

The food comes out quick and it may not be a Michelin star worthy food but it's definitely a comfort food for a lot of people. Their black bean noodles are a staple but I also recommend the spicy shrimp, sweet n sour pork, and sizzling rice soup. Their jjambbong (spicy seafood noodle soup) is just ok.. Service is great because I think the servers recognize my family but speaking Korean also helps. Unfortunately, I have witnessed some of the servers being kind of rude to other patrons. The servers are just always in a rush. But I always find myself going back whenever we have a big group. Don't expect a nice, clean, modern ambiance. The carpets old, decor is questionable, and sometimes there's a weird smell. But I will continue to go here.

The beef with the scallion pancakes was sooo tender. The cucumber salad was extra refreshing with the perfect balance of savory and tangy. You also can't ever go wrong with spicy wontons, pan fried buns, popcorn chickens, or braised green beans. Yum! Huge bonus: the restaurant is directly connected to Ben Gong's Tea. Loooove the osmanthus milk tea! I'd recommend subbing out the crystal boba and rice with regular boba and tea cubes.

Mine and my bf's go to are the dry fried green beans, mapo tofu, Chong Qing Spicy Chicken, and Yang Chow fried rice. These are more than enough for two people and we always have leftovers to take home. The mapo tofu pairs soooo well with the fried rice and my bf loves the chicken. Green beans are flavorful and crispy as well! Hot and sour soup is HUGE. They aren't consistent in making this because some days it's the perfect balance of tangy and spicy flavor, but other times its tooooo sour. The restaurant is very spacious. I love that you can just order via QR (on your phone).

This helped us get a table much faster than we would have than if we had just shown up and waited. We ordered the large family meal, and there were 12 of us. We also ordered the Newport Lobster, fish fillet with black bean sauce, and an extra shrimp fried rice. Overall, I think the food was good, and the prices are reasonable (except the lobster, which was pricey, as you might expect from anything listed as "market price"). Most of us in the group thought the fish fillet with black bean sauce was the best. I thought it was very good, but not necessarily fantastic. (There are other Chinese restaurants that do it a little better.) The sauce was very good, but the fish wasn't quite as tender as it can be. Definitely a solid 4 stars. Other dishes were good. I think the scallop soup could have been great for some people, but my wife and I both hate cilantro, and there was a ton of cilantro. The pork was also good, and my friends thought the clams were also really good. I found the fried rice a bit bland. And for both the lobster and the crab, they could have made them a little easier to eat by cracking the shells a bit more for us. I hate fighting with my food ... And there was a fair amount of fighting on these 2 dishes. The lobster cost almost much as all the other dishes combined. It certainly looked amazing. And the sauce was very good. But I found most of it a bit overcooked. Maybe it was our fault for asking for a big one. Maybe a smaller lobster might have been cooked a little less. The great sauce (along with the fighting with the shell) might have covered up the fact that the meat was actually a bit tough and rubbery. I don't think I'd order this again. The service was very friendly and pretty fast. And, again, other than the lobster, the pieces were pretty reasonable.

Our family joked around and would say let's go to the travel agency restaurant when we had a craving for Chinese/Vietnamese type of food. I recall the food back then was extra tasty and memorable, leaving me wanting to return again and again. However, my recent lunch outing with my girlfriends changed my mind. Our servers were attentive and friendly. I think it helped that my friend was a familiar customer. We came on a Monday afternoon around 11:30 and It was early enough where parking was still available. We ordered the classic dishes, including salt and pepper fried pork chopsand salt and pepper fried shrimp, but the taste this time around left a lot to be desired. These two dishes lacked the crunchiness and flavors that these fried entrees are supposed to showcase. We found the pork chops to be dry and tough, as if it was prepared a while ago and sitting out for some time before it made its way to our table. The shrimp was not impressive either. At least the shaking beef or bo luc lac was good. The beef chunks were tender, and the flavors were on point. Bonus points for the broth that is complimentary during lunch. Also the complimentary orange slices were a nice touch to end our meal. We'd still return for the lobster and noodle when the occasion comes up.

What stood out to me over the Capital Seafood in Irvine was the much friendlier service and the 90s R&B music in the background which was cool. Got the Lobster with house special sauce, Roasted duck with steam buns ($50), and Sautéed Pea sprouts veggies. * The lobster was definitely the star but just know the sauce is very buttery so may try a lighter sauce next time. Also still needed to crack some pieces so hands got really dirty (4/5) . * The duck was unfortunately too dry and tough and skin not so crispy so I will prob skip next time. But portion was good.
